Day 1

1:36am: Kate, Aleisha & another girl are watching the White Room feed, which is still showing in the living room. They all want something to happen. Kate suggests sitting there until something does happen. Andrew comes to the diary room. He says that he has wanted to talk to BB since they came into the house. He says he is finding it more difficult than he imagined not being able to speak to his secret relationship partner Hayley. He says it’s especially hard because it is their one year anniversary. He says that if he could speak to her he would just like to wish her a happy anniversary. Meanwhile, the bedroom has decided it’s time to jump in the spa. We are shown numerous housemates getting changed under their doonas. A good 6 or 7 make it out to the spa. Back in the bedroom, Hayley asks TJ if she’ll be showering naked. She says that it doesn’t really bother her because it’s a fact of life. She says the sooner everyone gets it over and done with, the easier it’ll be. They think that the guys will all get their gear off. They wonder if they’ll be more people coming in. Out at the spa, Rebecca is explaining that she doesn’t drink, she doesn’t swear and numerous other things. She says she did stray for one year and have some fun, revealing that she isn’t a virgin. Back in the bedroom, Bodie decides to have a shower, and says that he’s going to get his gear off. The girls discuss whether to move their discussion to the bathroom!

2:52am: Andrew, Hayley and a couple of other housemates are in the bathroom. Andrew says that the girls are just going to control this room. Others leave giving Andrew and Hayley the first chance to talk as a couple since they walked in. They exchange looks. Hayley asks if he is alright, but since he is brushing his teeth, you can’t understand his response. He leaves the bathroom without saying another word. In the bedroom, Joel is saying he expected the beds to be worse. They wonder where Thomas’s feet are. He says they are basically out of the end of the bed and he has the pillow up on the lightbox (bedhead basically). Thomas says he is used to it! Lights go out and housemates say goodnight to each other.

5:58am: First movement on the first morning is made by Rebecca She wanders outside and kneels to pray. Meanwhile, housemates continue to sleep. Jamie is the next to get up and heads outside as well. Jamie says he had to check this morning to make sure he was still in the house. Rebecca says that the conversation last night was good, but she felt completely out of it. Jamie says he’s not as cool as everyone else, and he feels he is on the outer. He says things will change though, so he’s not ready yet. Jamie wonders if Rebecca has really bonded with anyone in quick fashion yet. She says that she gets on well with him and also Andrew, saying they are similar.

3:26pm: Big Brother has gathered the housemates in the living room. He tells the housemates that they are about to receive their first weekly task. Andrew is the first to go to the diary room. BB asks Andrew to choose between two opposites that most reflect his character. The first question is “Saint or Sinner” Andrew says Saint, so does two others, Joel says sinner and someone else joins him. The next question is indecisive or decisive. Kate says decisive. Other questions asked are “Footy or fashion”, with the guys and girls going their seperate ways on that question, as well as “Dumper or Dumpee” & “Kisses or Cuddles”. After the compatibility test, Andrew and Hayley are individually dismissed by Big Brother, however everyone else receives a piece of information. “Big Brother has selected you for a special, secret task. You may never discuss this with your housemates, if you do you will be evicted. 2 of your housemates are lying to you. They say they are strangers, but they are a couple. They are boyfriend and girlfriend, and live together in the outside world, yet living a lie in the BB house. Your task is to idenify them. If your successful you’ll be generously rewarded. If you fail they’ll be a severe penalty.” Joel says he’s excited about it, but then asks “are you telling the truth?” BB continues, telling the housemates individually that they have one week to find the relationship. Jamie asks at the end, “Can I change one of my responses that i’ve rethought?”

No time given: Housemates are in the kitchen preparing a meal. Someone refers to Hayley as “Hails” and Andrew picks up on it, saying he likes it. They wonder if they can continue to call her that. Joel watches on. Jamie asks Hayley if she is attachted or single. Hayley says she is very much single. 3 girls are in the padded room just talking about nothing. Back in the kitchen, Jamie asks Andrew if he has a girlfriend on the outside. Andrew says he doesn’t want one at the moment. 3 boys are in the bedroom. Bodie, Travis and Thomas are saying that they are struggling talking to Jamie, Bodie especially. Thomas wonders if they have a problem having a convo with him. They say he is fine. Thomas says that Jamie is more of a thinker than most. Back to the girls in the padded room. Emma says that she isn’t looking cause she has a partner, but she says she likes them all as friends, thinks they are great guys.

7:35pm: About half the housemates are seated at the dinner table. Thomas and Hayley are talking about after the show. Thomas says that he has no idea where he’ll be living. Hayley invites him down to Melbourne to stay with her. Andrew watches on! In the padded room Jamie is talking with Rebecca. Rebecca says she has suffered with eating disorders in her life, and Jamie says “thanks for trusting me with that.” They hold hands with each other. Rebecca says she doesn’t think Jamie wants a relationship out of the show. Jamie says he thinks it would be great, but it’s not what he’s come onto the show to get. Jamie gets a bit carried away saying that he thinks it would be a great story to tell when he’s older.

9:36pm: Bunch of housemates out sitting by the pool. Thomas asks if everyone feels like they are all brothers and sisters or whether some people have a little crush developing. Andrew sticks his hand up. Hayley says she has a crush, but won’t reveal who it is. Meanwhile, TJ and Bodie are chatting in the padded room. Bodie asks her a heap of questions. TJ says she is from the outback, out Darwin way. Bodie says he is sold on her, saying she is a top chick. They come outside and join the others and a few start playing “Never ever”, and Andrew says “I never ever…..*Bleep*” for the rest of the sentence so we don’t have a clue. Hayley doesn’t look too pleased though, and decides to go off to join a new conversation with Thomas. Hayley, as she walks inside with Thomas, says thats going too far. Thomas agress. Andrew soon realises they walked away because of his comment, but someone else says they think it was the comments in general. Andrew rolls his eyes. In the kitchen, Hayley says it was offensive. Kate, after asking inside what the “never ever” was, heads outside to find out. Andrew seems fired up now, and asks who it was who revealed they had a crush. Someone tells him it was Hayley. Andrew thinks that Hayley has used that earlier comment as a way to take Thomas away from the others, and that Thomas really had no problem with the comment.

11:04pm: Andrew is talking to Bodie about how he thinks that Thomas wasn’t offended by the comment. Bodie comes and sits down next to Hayley and says that he hopes they didn’t offend her. She says she would never expect an apology and that she thinks it’s sweet that he came to her anyway, and trys to give him a kiss on the head but he moves it back towards her at the last minute, so she gets slightly hurt. Meanwhile in the bedroom, TJ tells Emma in the bedroom that she felt that she had done something wrong out there. Andrew walks in and says that he thinks he seriously offended someone. The girls don’t think so. TJ says that if someone (referring to Hayley) wants to be like a princess then let her. Andrew watches on! Aleisha comes in and invites everyone out to have yougart, but in the process by opening the door has hurt Andrew’s hand. Andrew leaves the bedroom and TJ says “Poor Andrew, I feel for him.” Thomas and Hayley continue flirting while sorting out the rubbish and which bin to put things in. TJ and Emma say there are dividing groups already, saying that Hayley etc will look down on the vulgar people such as themselves. Hayley and Thomas enter the room. TJ basically leaves the room immediately. Thomas says that he thinks they could all get sleep deprieved very quickly. On the couches, TJ suggests that if someone doesn’t like the conversation they should leave, so the others don’t feel guilty by having the discussion. Travis says that that is what happens out in the real world. TJ says “If you can’t handle the heat, get out of the kitchen!” Andrew still thinks that Hayley has a crush on Thomas. In the bathroom Hayley is brushing her teeth, and Thomas is waiting for someone who has been ‘way too long’ in the ‘little boys room’. TJ, who is quite worked up, tells Andrew she doesn’t give a **** about some people in the house. In the bedroom, a bit of comedy, Aleisha does the splits and looks incredibly short. Meanwhile, in the diary room, Rebecca is telling BB that the task that he gave her is ‘causing grief.” She says that there are some amazing actors in this place. However, she says she has some good observations and some people haven’t opened up. As the others head to bed, Bodie says he had a great night, and he hoped it wasn’t at other peoples expense. Hayley waves over to Andrew, who hardly responses, and so she says “Oh, cranky now!”. Rebecca says she is struggling to find the real people in here, everyone is so guarded. She is excused from the diary room. Thomas waits “5 minutes” for a hi5 from Hayley, there beds almost back to back. Andrew watches on. Aleisha says that Thomas would be sensitive boyfriend. Everyone settles down to sleep.

Gretel on Rove

Gretel walks out to the set of Rove looking nice and casual. She loves the new set. Rove wonders why they are doing another season. Gretel says that last year nearly killed her. She said her eldest son was doing HSC, her daughter was in hospital. She says the show was under enormous pressure, with the Prime Minister even weighing into the debate. She says she only realised how traumatised she was when she got in her car one day, and couldn’t get it started. She rang the Peugeot hotline, and the person on the phone said “Once you put the key in the ignition”…she had forgotten the golden rule of driving a car.

She then goes onto tell another story about how she was given a message from the ‘other side’ from her grandparents Wendy & Bob telling her to keep at it and they are supporting you. Gretel says she was hoping it would be Gandhi or Joan of Arc. She then says that around the same time a guy came up to her saying that if she ever needed someone to attend a function or something, he would be happy to, and it would only cost $700!

Rove wonders what happens in her off season. She says last year she probably just wanted to disappear and run, but she couldn’t because her son was doing HSC so she helped him out, then she went and camped out in the desert for a while visiting Aboriginal communities. She says she went for a ride on a camel and tells the audience they are very loud. Gretel gets Rove to actually try and do the sound, then asks the audience, but no one obliges. She finally does the noise herself. She wonders why they are so loud when they have such big ears?! Lots of laugh from the audience. Rove agrees they should be quieter. Gretel says she went to New York for a ‘literary thing’ and then Italy as well. She says she had a driver in Italy who said “I speak English very well, better than most. Sometimes I speak it so well I can’t believe my feet…” Laughter from the audience.

Rove tries to get back onto BB talk; but tells everyone that the housemates aren’t in lockdown so they really can’t discuss much. Rove decides to ask her a series of questions and offers her $20 if she answers to his liking. Gretel repeats that she has to answer to his liking, then jokes that if there was a hole in the table she could really make it to his liking! They go through a series of questions as follows:

Would you watch BB if you weren’t on it? Yes
Who’s your favourite Wiggle? The blue one.
Do you have a Big Brother? No
How many cameras in your bedroom? 43!
Would you rather lose an arm or a leg? Half an arm and half a leg
Who was your first kiss? Richard
Whats 5 time 9? 45

To finish off Gretel plugs the Starburst promotion and tells everyone there is still a chance anyone can enter the house. Rove tells everyone that Big Brother starts at 7pm on Sunday, and Rove will start at a special time of 9. Gretel acts surprised that she has to do a longer show, and as she says goodbye, tells Rove to be ready at 8.30! Rove shoots to the commercial break, where the first advertisement is for Big Brother.

Intruders Insight

Every week this season we’re looking at posting some blogs from you – the users of Behind Big Brother. If you feel you have the gift of the gab and can express yourself well through words, please email your Big Brother Australia related blog to [email protected]. Each week, we’ll choose a few to post here on the main site. This week we’re publishing the work of molloch and thebitchyprincess.

molloch – The Beginning

So here we are yet again at the start of another BB year. Seven years! Who would’ve thought that when a young enthusiastic brothel manager bum danced her way onto our screens that we would still be watching this show 7 years later.
Sure some of us have become a lot more cynical about the whole experience, but most of us have yet to give up on this show we love to hate. And why is that? Well for the most part we human beings are voyeurs. Why has Funniest Home Videos lasted so long? Because we love others misfortune, triumphs, sadness, glorious highs and the lowest of lows. We love watching the housemates enter the house for the first time. We first make our assumptions based on their looks. Too thin, too large, slightly odd looking….unusually perky breasts. Then we hear them talk and we hear the first lies come out of their mouths. “I’m in it for the experience.” “I’m so crazy, zany and loud”. “I don’t let anyone tell me what to do.”
HA! We’ve heard it before Elise. Those that brag so much as they stand there on the stage ready to enter the house do tend to let us down. They are never as controversial as they make themselves out to be. And yet we cannot drag ourselves away. I’d say most of you, like myself, form first impressions on those wonderful housemates and some of you may already have your favourites. This is why we stay tuned. While the tasks and games that BB plays with the housemates can be entertaining, it is the housemates themselves that keep us coming back time and again.

When Rachael began singing in the garden and had those wonderful fights with Dean I had to tune in to see what she would do next. Same with good old Sara-Marie. Her antics kept us all entertained. I will never forget her and the frozen fish fingers. Max was a joy last year and so easy to watch, but then you also have your Turkan’s and Carlo’s who you’ve really had enough of but can’t actually bring yourself to tear your eyes away.
These people are the reason we keep watching BB every year. The reason we keep coming back to bbba to find out any new goss and to read and reply to everyone else’s views of the housemates on the forums. We are a passionate lot and seem to fight to the death to defend our favourite housemates no matter what they’ve done. And some of us will fight our fellow forum users just because someone else has dared to besmirch the character of our beloved housemate.

We can relate to some of their experiences. We empathise with issues that they may have. We see ourselves in some of them then we also see what we may dislike in ourselves in others. And this is why no matter how many of us bitch and moan and carry on about the repetition of the show and the stealing from other BB’s, we will (mostly) remain fixated to the very end. Because for most of us, those housemates that get towards the end are people we have identified with in some small way. We like them because they remind us of someone we know, ourselves even. We want them to succeed as we’ve shared their journey for three months. We’re pretty much guaranteed to run the whole gamut of emotions with the housemates as they struggle to become the people they are on the outside or to suppress those parts of their characters that they think we may like.

So BB I ask you this year, with all your wonderful ads that say so much yet really give us nothing at all. Do you realise what actually makes your show work? Why we gullible fools tune in year after year and waste precious dollars in sms calls? It’s not your “new dimension” (though if you actually put up a Skylounge I think I will not be able to stop my sides from splitting through laughter), it’s not your “promises”, it’s not your opening night that will be talked about for days, nor has it got anything to do with you and you lame punishments that never really seem to be followed through (hello Jamie and his 3 strikes). It is simply about the housemates. That’s the crux of it. Give us some great housemates and we’ll watch for however long you want us too. We want ones we love, ones we don’t understand, ones we can hate, ones we can talk and bitch about for hours on the forums. The Vesna’s, Reggie’s, Tim’s, Dean’s, Rachael’s, Max’s, Michael’s and Perry’s of this world, they are the ones that keep your show going and keep us interested.

So I say again BB, please don’t fail us this year. I hope you’ve made your list and you’re checking it twice. Cos we’re gonna need housemates who are naughty and nice.

thebitchyprincess – Still hopeful but not expecting a lot…

So here we are again… Another year, another set of dodgy ads that get our mouths watering and our brains ticking. Will there REALLY be something under the table this year? If they dig up the backyard will they REALLY find a secret so special it could blow even the most cynical big brother mind? Will it REALLY be a more interesting place to live??? That really is the question I find most BB fans pondering. Those on the fan sites, forums and chat rooms are already devouring the details with glee, chewing them up, spitting them out and waiting for the next sliver of information. Gretel keeps popping up every 3.5 seconds to warn us that this year, big brother will live up to his promises. Gretel A La – Secret Agent Man. I wouldn’t want to be able to be identified either Gretel.

We will be talking about the opening night for days – She assures us. Well sure. Good or bad, people are going to be on here picking it to pieces and leaving its rotting remains for all to see all over the World Wide Web.

The house will be a more interesting place to live – They proclaim with exclamation marks. With all of the new ‘sexual harassment’ clauses this year definitely has to promise something. After all, they won’t even be looking at each other sideways, fully clothed sitting on the couch, let alone having a Mike/Dave rendezvous in the bathroom, a turkey slapping good weekend or a revealing bath in the rewards room.

A greener place to live – Well that’s not special mate. Most of the population is trying to go green. Our ears are bleeding from the overuse of the terms carbon neutral and water restrictions.

The housemates will reflect all walks of life – Well duh. Perry was so well received last year that they realised they may have stumbled upon something original and popular to the viewing audience. Better keep that going until its so overdone even Gretel can’t plead its fabulousness anymore.

The grass will be greener on the inside – Of course it will. The rest of QLD is brown and doesn’t have unlimited SMS voting funds to waste on crap like green grass. That is not a hard claim to live up to.

The house will be a life – changing place to live – Thank goodness! Someone is listening to the loser housemates from previous seasons and warning the housemates before they go in that they really won’t be famous, but forgotten exactly 37 seconds after they are ‘evicted’. Except of course if you are David Graham who won’t be forgotten no matter how hard we try.

Friday Night Live… Winning is everything – Really? Hmmm. If you read Mike’s (from last year) blog then you would really know that winning is poorly handled with bad service and crap trips. But whatever. We will still be watching. Wishing, Hoping, Waiting for someone to crack it so bad they have to be wheeled from the arena on a stretcher.

I’m just waiting for the ad that says. Big Brother – Mind numbingly boring, not very creative but brutally honest.

This leaves me with ‘The Golden Key’ promotion. I shall just say this. This could be a very interesting concept. As long as they don’t use half assed knock offs of other ideas. Just like a $5 pair of knock off sunnies. These will fool some people, but the rest of us know that they are poor imitations and you’re a dodgy tight ass that wouldn’t cough up the cash for the real thing. We all know that you’re reading the forums, chatrooms and fansites. Keeping your finger on the pulse and we honestly wouldn’t mind if you ripped off the half decent ideas BB fanatics have. At this stage I will say, I’m hopeful but not holding my breath.

For those of us who have stuck by BB through the good and the bad. Bum dancing blonde girls, plastic boobs, turkey slapping and people bathing in kitchen sinks. We say god speed to the producers. Break a leg to the housemates and sorry to the people truly expecting something new from Big Brother 07.

We’re due for a good one…surely?!

Finally we’re within sight of the launch. In just over a week, who knows how many housemates will have entered the house and Big Brother 2007 will have commenced. I’m looking forward to it, but as has been the case the past few years, I’m weary. I’m weary because I can easily see this series turning into another horrible one. But hey, we haven’t started yet so I’m trying to remain upbeat and keep the negativity to a minimum!

The ad campaign. It’s been another shocker from where I sit. I feel that they’ve completely contradicted themselves with the ads, two in particular. Back on the 29th March, we got a new commercial saying “Big Brother Promises, nothing is guaranteed”; one of the latest ads is Gretel standing at a press conference announcing “What Big Brother promises, he delivers.” What the….?!!!! I think thats got my point across anyway.

The golden key promotion. Yeh a great lot of advertising for Starburst. When I travel down Punt Road they have a great huge billboard for the promotion, and it tells you how many keys are still out there. I drove past last week (so two weeks before launch) and of the 100 on offer, 61 keys still needed to be found! So this promotion has obviously worked extremely well. From what I can gather, there is no key inside the packs, just a unique code, and you *of course* have to sms the code to even figure out if you’re a winner. No wonder they haven’t got 100 people yet. Secondly on this issue, even if you are one of the lucky ones, you still have to be ‘vetted’ again by producers and there is another culling of the entrants before we the public get to decide. I know we harp on about BBUK, but they’re golden ticket promotion just had the people line up and a lottery was conducted to find the lucky housemate. How easy!

Finally, yesterday we got our first glimpse of the house from an overhead shot. The backyard, minus a paint job and some new turf, looked exactly the same as the previous year. Really not a good omen to begin the year on. However, we’ve got Gretel on Rove tonight to come, so perhaps she can turn my negativity around. We’ll see :)

Dave!

The finale

Evening all to what should be a magnificent evening. Neighbours credits are rolling, and we’re ready to commence the last BB for 2003.

And we’re away. Credits first as per normal, live crowd heard in background though. Shots of the crowd, before Mike welcomes us to the final eviction, then introduces Gretel, who has her hair down and looks stunning. White Pants and a sequence type white top. Gretel has a story to tell the audience, who seems to have Reggie and Chrissie cardboard cut outs of their faces. Anyway, she tells the story of BB2003, from the beginning, until there were only two girls left. Tonight we choose the queen of BB Land. Will it be Chrissie? Or Reggie? Slightly bigger yell for Reggie. SMS lines have shut, but the phone lines are still open, leading Gretel into calling them out.

Now, the nation was in shock when Daniel went last night, leaving two girls to fight it out. Gretel crosses to the house now! They are just laughing away sitting on the couch. Gretel asks them why they are nervous. Chrissie is nervous because they don’t know what is going on. Reggie says that she should get the rest of the M&M’s given to her as a present. Gretel suggests giving them to charity. Chrissie says it felt like Christmas eve last night, it dragged on so long. Gretel will be crossing back to them later. Now it’s time to catch up on what has happened in the last 24 hours.

After Dan’s eviction, the girls have a drink outside, and the girls are in total shock. Chrissie tells Reg that she is going to win, and Reg can’t get her head around that. Onto Dan’s video message. He gets through Reggie’s message OK, but when it comes to Chrissie, it brings him to tears.

Into the morning, Chrissie is up early cause she can’t sleep. They say in a few hours they will both be outside. Chrissie went back to bed in the morning, as did Reggie this afternoon. Back to the stage we travel. Gretel says that it is the first time in the world where two girls are in the final ’round.’ Back after the break with the 14 other housemates!

Back again with baby photo’s of all the housemates. Lots of “ooh’s” in the audience. Now, Gretel is back and it’s time to run through the phone numbers again. Now, all 14 housemates enter the stage. Jo has a ridiculous mini skirt on! They all head up to the couch. First to Dan, who is feeling pretty good. He had only a couple of hours sleep. He is ready for tonight. Now they are going to have clip packages intertwined with questions. The first package is of Irena, Jaime and Carlo. Irena has had an amazing time since coming out, and has met so many wonderful people. Jaime has had an awesome time, and encourages anyone to try out. Carlo is great, and is still with Tracy. Next clip package is of Leah, Belinda, Ben and Claire. Back to the couch, Leah’s hair looks shocking, and she is having fun as a blonde. Belinda is looking forward to going back to the salon and work. Ben had fun down in Tassie last night, and Claire is so excited seeing everyone again. Cut to a comm break, the rest will be introduced after the break. Creeping up on closing time for the phone lines as well, 7:25pm.

Secret Life of Us ad before we return to BB. Gretel is still on the couch, giving the phone numbers for the final time. Now back to the other housemates. The next clip package is of Jo, Saxon, Kim and Jamie. Lines have shut, so not far away from the announcement. Now, back to Jo. Jo is with Tim, and very happy. Kim does look great tonight! She is still with Richard, and is moving! Now Saxon, who is single. He is just having fun at the moment. Onto Jamie, he hasn’t fallen in love yet. Now onto the clip package fro Vincent, Patrick and Daniel. Vincent is still with Danielle (GF), and is having a crazy time! Patrick has also had a crazy week, and he is loving it. Now Daniel, who gets a massive cheer, where they talk about how he has only met some of these people for the first time tonight. Cross to the house for BB to do his announcement. “There will be a final eviction very soon.” Reggie goes all excited, and they try to go back to their conversation, but she is far too worked up now. Chrissie looks quite relaxed actually!

Back with clip package of evicted housemates walking down the audience. Gretel is still on the couch, and is now with the loved ones. Chrissie’s sister and Mum, and Reggie’s sister and Adrian. Liz was in the audience last night, and was so nervous. She never expected her to last till the end. She says she is popular out of the house though too. Onto Anita, who also thought she would not make it this far. Adrian looks like a nervous wreck! Chrissie’s mum is close to tears! She has enjoyed the time, has become an addict of the show. She doesn’t know what she is going to do now BB is over. Onto Adrian, who gets a cheer, who says Reggie doesn’t hold anything back. He is used to her though. He says that everything Reggie has said to do with the shop he knew about. He has never felt like he would lose her though. Now, I think the time has come. Here we go, we cross to the house. She gets the envelope, says hello to the housemates, Reggie is crying away, they are holding hands. Gretel says good luck. The winner of BB2003 is Reggie. She just cries, and they have a long hug on the couch. Chrissie seems so happy for her. Gretel says it’s time to go, Chrissie. The countdown starts, and they make their way outside. Across the pool, and one last hug, Chrissie is gone, and Reg is left alone. A bit different tonight outside for Chrissie. Chrissie gets into a nice car, I think it is going to be hers, but before she does she says hello to the security guard, and says they all love her! Comm break.

Back at the compound we are, the new car pulls up, and Gretel welcomes Chrissie. She is stunned at the crowd! Gretel tells us that the car is hers, she says “Get Out!” She gets to walk the eviction walk now. She just keeps saying “oh my god” all the way down! She lets her baby hands be touched by a special few, and before long she is greeted by Gretel once more on stage. “This is all crazy!” The audience chant “Chrissie”. She takes a photo of Chrissie and the audience, then gives her the phone. She loves it, she says “I love free stuff!” Now, she thought she would go sometime in the first few weeks. She says she was happy to get in. Cut to clip of “Sister Chrissie.” She laughs as she watches. Now, cut to “Evil Chrissie!” Chrissie loved watching that! She says she isn’t normally like that though! Gretel reminds her that she was the only one to stand up to Ben. They cross to Reggie. LOL, as they cut to the break, Chrissie is having the time of her life talking to the audience, and they when she realises that they are still showing a clip, she says “oooh, thats me!”

Back to a clip of “Laughing Chrissie!” She shows her legacy items, slippers and her nightie. Her charity is Brotherhood of St Lawrence Breakfast Club, where she volunteers every Monday morning. How nice is this girl :) Another present for Chrissie now, for the OS, she gets a signed first edition of her favourite book. She is really really pleased with that. Gretel tells her to put it down after a while! She says she loved the whole experience, she loved living with the boys. Cut to a clip of her friendships in the house! Straight to another clip package. More prezzies time! The Mastercard, the holiday and the PS2. And the DVD, almost forgot! Now, back to the house, BB says ” Regina, you will be leaving in just a few minutes.” LOL, she says “Haha, your funny Mr Big! Just hurry up would you.” Ah, she is a classic our Reggie :) Now, back with Gretel who goes through the best dressed competition. The envelope arrives, and the winner of the Plasma screen is Reggie’s fish and chips! Cut to a break, but Reggie is coming out straight after it.

Here we go, Reggie saying “Come on, come on. Hurry up!” Gretel comes into the house! She says “You little champ!” She starts crying again (Reggie!) Leah screams over the fence one last time for them to get out! Poor Reggie is a nervous wreck. Fireworks and they are out of the house! LOL, there is Irena, who she has never met! LOL. Now Jaime, who she never met. Carlo now, and then Leah. She finally knows someone. Long hug to Belinda! Fat Bobby!!!!! She is balling now, poor girl. As they go down, they have people dressed in the different tasks they did which is a good addition to the walk this year. She greets Claire, and then Jo. Huge hug for her. Kimareee!!! Next is Saxon, who says a few nice things to Reg. Jamie is next to greet her. Vincent is next. Reggie is just laughing and crying all the way through. It was better when Ben and Pete who really seemed overjoyed at seeing everyone again. Reg just seems to upset. Anyway, onto Patrick, big hug for Pat. There’s Dan, huge hug for him! Over the bridge they go, and then Chrissie appears. Chrissie hasn’t seen any of the housemates either, so she is hugging everyone too! They stop just outside for a comm break, just before they let her enter the compound.

Back again! The crowd screaming Reggie, and here she comes! All by herself, in the end where the eviction van normally rolls up. She is talking to herself throughout it all! All the evicted housemates are up the stairs where Gretel usually comes out from. She finally gets down to the stage, and is greeted by Gretel. They sit down on the couch, and she gets the phone. Now, Gretel says she won $250,000 to which Reggie says “I thought it would be a Playstation!” LOL. When Gretel tells her she gets the Playstation, she seems even more excited! LOL, Gretel tells us that they are going to show a few clips now, so she gives her a huge bowl of M&M’s. First clip package of our winner. Back after that to Gretel, who cuts to a break. She too realises half way through they are showing a clip package on the way too a break!

Back again on the home stretch. She has her skirt for her charity item. Gretel tells us all that we can bid for her items. Now, another present, she gets a home gym, but they don’t bring it on stage. Cut to another clip of Reggie. Voting is 28% for Reggie, 72% for Chrissie. Now, another clip package. Now, the hard questions. She says she is happier than when she went in. Onto the 10 questions. Hardest thing was nominating. Missed Campell and Adrian the most. She loved everyone, she didn’t have a least fave. Most annoying habit was her farting, funniest was no answer, laziest was Ben, greatest regret was she didn’t have one. Now, here comes Adrian. LOL, Reg says “New shirt!” New watch too! Adrian says he is happy and proud, and Reg just says it’s weird seeing him! After the break, everyone comes on stage for the final time.

Back to the show, and a replay of the announcement. Everyone is on the couch. Clip package of everything now. Reg says she can’t think clearly! Credits start rolling. Reg says she never thought she would win. Reg says the watch of Adrian’s was dear! First thing she wants to do is have a scotch. Gretel thanks everyone, Carlo starts eating the M&M’s in the meantime, Gretel thanks the audience, thanks everyone at home, everyone behind the scenes, then tells us that next Monday at 7:30pm a program called “Reggie Rules.” Gretel says goodbye, the housemates get up to greet the audience, and BB ends for another year.

Day 78

12:49pm – Patrick is cleaning the barbecue because they will soon be provided with meat from Big Brother on this Sunday eviction day. In the kitchen, the rest of the housemates are dressed up like real aussie’s, Anouska taking a photo of Reggie with a meat tray. They all have the zinc cream and the floopy hat on. While Pat keeps cooking, Reggie and Chrissie laugh at the photo’s in the kitchen. With dinner served, Reggie says that she needs to save some room in her stomach for some lamingtons, which have also been supplied by BB. Anouska doesn’t know what is inside them, but Reggie says ‘they are beautiful!’ Later, when she tries one, she calls it ‘gorgeous.’

2:10pm – Chrissie and Dan are in the bedroom. Dan makes the comment that he thinks Chrissie will be a little disappointed if she isn’t evicted later in the evening. She says she will see him in a week, to which Dan says that Chrissie would in fact be his pick to go. Chrissie says it’s her because it can’t be Reggie, and she thinks it’s out of her and Pat. Reggie comes in and starts packing, saying she will do a better job this time round. She wonders if she should put everything in her red sack.

6:18pm – Reggie and Chrissie are in the living room, all dressed up for the night ahead. Reggie passes by and says “I just can’t look at you.” Reggie goes into the bedroom, sits on a seat, and eats her M&M’s. Out on the deck, where the others are, Pat asks where Reggie is. Dan says it helps her to keep her mind off things when she is alone. Anouska wonders how excited Adrian would be to see Reggie again. Dan goes to check on her, and asks her if she is alright. She replies “Na.” She offers him some M&M’s as he sits down, but he says he doesn’t want to start eating and eating them. She is having a small cry while Dan is there. Reggie says she thinks she will be the one evicted. Chrissie comes and checks on them now. Reggie admits this is the most nervous she has been. Chrissie can’t believe Reg thinks she is going. Dan tries to make light of the conversation, add a bit of humour to the mix, but tears continue to fall down Reggie’s face.

7:46pm – Anouska fixes Reggie’s makeup, but is rudely interrupted by Big Brother, who tells them that Anouska has 20 seconds to leave the house. Frantic hugs all round as she leaves. Reggie’s tears start flowing again. Chrissie just doesn’t know what to do. Dan, Chrissie and Dan are standing around the pool, and Chrissie says “I’m going soon.” Pat says that it will be him. Just a few minutes later, they are again seated on the couch, and Gretel tells us that Pat is evicted. More hugging, kissing etc as Pat is ushered through the doors and out of the BB house for good. Chrissie and Reggie both lean on the doors for a bit, as Dan makes mention that he looked so ‘airport style’ going through. Reggie is really crying now, heavy breathing and everything. Chrissie hugs her. Dan then gets his turn. Group hug as Chrissie says “I can’t believe it!” Dan says enthusiastically “Just us 3 girls left then!” The girls take a seat as Dan goes to get some water.

9:23pm – All are sitting at the table eating dinner. Reggie and Chrissie both comment that they feel ‘space cadet’ weird. Chrissie says it was tough to lose two people tonight. Chrissie mentions that Pat was there when each of them arrived, so every memory they have of the house involves Pat, and thus thats why they feel weird. Chrissie says it kind of felt like it was Pat’s house to her.

Later, on the couch, the remaining housemates watch the video will Pat left behind. Pat says “Hi Guys!” He says he thinks they have all really enjoyed the last couple of weeks together in the house. He says that the friendships formed will last a long time. On a personal note, first is Chrissie. He says it was lovely to meet her and to get to know her. He says that perhaps he didn’t get to know her as well as the others, but that opens up the opportunity to get to know her better on the outside. He goes on to say she was a constant source of laughter. And just before he moves on, he says “Oh by the way Chrissie, I told you I’d be out first!” Huge laughter from the three remaining.

Onto Dan. He was so glad that Dan stayed as long as he did, because he got to meet the real Dan; the kind guy, down to earth person who says what he means, says what he feels. Dan never lies, always honest. He got to know him more in the smaller group. Pat says he was really glad they made the song together. He says that Dan will be much more famous than he (Pat) could ever be, but he will be able to tell people that he knew that Dan guy.

Finally onto Reggie. “Little Reggie, you are a beautiful person.” She has been like a rock for Pat in the house. Pat says that she didn’t change at all during her time in there. He is really glad they made it onto the show so they could get to know each other. They will meet up at the huge party at the end of it all, and then dance together.

At the end, he wishes them all good luck, enjoy the fact that they made the final three, and goodbye. They all say goodbye to Pat. Dan is soo glad that they get to see these. Reggie is looking at a photo that is almost black, and someone has written “Bugger” underneath it, and Chrissie and Reggie are laughing, almost crying at it.

Later in the night, the three are sitting in bed. Reggie says her eyes will be puffed up in the morning. She then says “It’s all too much.” Chrissie wonders how bad it will be when the third last person goes next Sunday. Reggie says “It’ll be you and Dan.” But Chrissie comes back saying it will be Dan and Reg. Dan just lies in between them not saying anything. BB turns the light out, and thankyou’s go all around. Reggie even wishes BB a goodnight. Chrissie and Reggie say goodnight, and thats stumps.
