Day 5

12.35pm – Housemates are only just getting up after the birthday night celebrations. Nelson and Glenn are both exclaiming a good night happened and debate whether it’s the afternoon yet. Later, Big Brother tells Nelson no one is to prepare food until the windows in the house are cleaned. In the isolation room Logan David is up and cooking himself some breakfast. Logan-Greg and Dean are showering nude. They exchange a few short sentences about sleeping well but nothing too casual – it is two straight guys naked in the same room after all! My high definition computer capture card reveals Logan very quickly glimpsing at Dean’s package before getting into the shower. Dean does the same while Logan walks into the shower holding is private bits, nervously looking at the bathroom door to see if anyone is coming in. Mike reminds us that Logan David doesn’t shower nude.

Meanwhile Christie and Gianna are in the kitchen wanting to cook when Nelson tells them they have to wait until windows are cleaned. Gianna doesn’t know whether to believe Nelson so he just says “go crazy then”. Nelson is immediately called to the diary room with a little gasp from Christie. Nelson is asked why the other housemates are preparing food. Nelson says “I don’t know whether it’s their arrogance or their stupidity, it’s one or the other”.

Christie and Gianna are eating outside, when Nelson comes out of the diary room saying “Big Brother suggests I pass on the information more effectively so fuck off out of the kitchen”. By this time it is Constance and Geneva in the ktichen so they don’t know what he’s talking about. Outside Logan and Glenn are talking about last night. Gianna and Christie are now in the bedroom talking about how some of the guys are getting bitchy – using Nelson earlier as an example. Logan goes to the toilet and notices the red light flashing to tell him there will be a switch. Logan David is brought in to a secret room adjacent the toilet where they exchange information about last night’s party.

Gianna and Christie are explaining how wrapped they are at getting into the BB house. Christie says to take every day as it comes. When Logan emerges, Gianna mentions “the two of you in there at the same time” much to the surprise of Logan David, but she’s actually talking about Nelson being in the other toilet at the same time. She says that it must have been smelly in there because Logan closed the door.

BREAK

2.57pm – Tim and Kate are on bed and Tim’s explaining how great and gorgeous she is. Mike tells us in the survey conducted by Big Brother earlier, Tim voted Kate as the HM he would most like to kiss. The two are talking about getting engaged (jokingly). Kate wants a special engagement. Tim agrees and says they can’t rush into it because it smacks of the alcohol left over from last night. Kate says he’s now spoiled it brining the drinking into it. Kate says people propose to her all the time then sober up and take it back. She leaves the bedroom.

All houseamates are called to the bedroom to watch an instructional video about riding the Segway transporters for Friday night’s task (which is the day after). They all get strapped up with safety gear and take turns riding the Segways. Hotdogs needs a little help from Michael while Nelson speeds around the place. Michelle is getting coaching from Geneva. Gianna says Nelson is on them all the time and calls for him to get off and let another person have a go. Meanwhile Nelson is reversing all over the place. Glenn starts speeding around corners on the grass and causes a Segway pileup with Hotdogs and Tim.

Gianna is very annoyed now and tells Nelson to get off and let some one else have a go. He tells her to go fuck herself. Gianna is telling other housemates who haven’t had a go yet they should be taking Nelson’s place, but Nelson has raced off again.

6.47pm – Logan David goes to the diary room for housekeeping matters, but stays to talk about the housemates. He says it’s really amazing the fights that go on when you spend 12 hours away from the house. He says his strategy should be more layed back from now on. He’s confident and wants to do the swaps for two weeks.

BREAK

7.37pm – All housemates to the lounge. They are now being tested on the task. Kate is asked which housemate Hotdogs thinks is the best looking. She answers Michelle, which is correct. Gianna is considered by other housemates to be the most flirtatious. Michael is asked which housemate is considered the laziest. It is Constance, correct answer. Hotdogs is asked which housemate is considered most kissable – A. Logan B. Michelle, C. Dean. Hotdogs adds another answer D. Hotdogs. He answers Dean but the correct answer is Logan. Big Brother will get back to the housemates with the results. Afterwards Kate asks Logan about his showering habits. He says he doesn’t mind some people seeing you nude but not the whole of Australia. Logan says his sisters told him to not shower naked.

Gianna goes to the diary room to vent to Big Brother. Teary eyed, she says she’s feeling very disjoined from the rest of the group. She says she treats everyone how she wants to be treated and feels angry. The people in the house don’t know her and make quick judgements. She goes on to explain she doesn’t get along with Nelson, Constance and Angela – she knows it’s a game but you can have a fun game. After her diary room visit, Gianna goes to the bathroom to wash her face. Christie comes in to see how she is and gets a hug out of her. Gianna insists she is alright, and explains her feelings a little. Christie says she understands. At some very bad timing Constance walks into the bathroom laughing with Angela, then goes to see if Gianna is ok. Constance says she knows part of the reason Gianna is upset is because of her. They are soon joined by Michelle who gives Gianna a big hug.

Note: tonight’s episode isn’t in chronological order

11.21pm – Kate and Tim are playing in the kitchen hitting each other with tea towels. Logan says she is giggling like a school girl in love and calls for Tim to “whip her ass!”. They end up wrestling on the ground and Tim needs to pull Kate and her mic up.

BREAK

10.13pm – Some of the housemates are inside while the majority are in the spa (mainly the boys). Big Brother announces the results of their task: they passed. Everyone inside jumps like a Toyota commercial while everyone in the spa jumps up and high fives each other and cheer “we eat good”. Christie goes to get into the spa, but not before Big Brother warns her not to go into the spa with her microphone. Christie then turns to put her microphone on a table but forgets where the steps are, falls and lands on her ass. An annoyed Christie throws her towel in anger on the wet floor, soaking it. All the housemates have a good laugh and pull her into the spa and give her hugs.

11.07pm – Geneva and Angela are now in the sauna. Geneva wanted to know what was wrong with Gianna. Angela explains her feeling left out, but Geneva says she just fucked off people today. Angela explains she likes Michelle better than Gianna now, a contrast to Geneva. Kate is in the middle of a sentence bitching about Gianna when Gianna walks into the sauna! Kate quickly changes the sentence and Gianna is none the wiser. They go on talking about Michelle. Kate says it’s especially hard because they are living on each other.

In the bedroom Hotdogs and Christie are discussing housemates. Hotdogs says Tim is the rock in the house – the strong person that would hold things together. He doesn’t get emotionally involved with anything.

Michelle and Constance are now in the sauna and Angela asks Kate if she has a thing for Kate. Kate says she’s not attracted to him whatsoever but he’s a great guy.

12.13am – Hotdogs asks Christie if she is looking for love – she is. Hotdogs says with the time they’ve spent in the house he could fall in love. Michelle says there is one person for Christie – Logan. In the isolation room Logan greg is doing some exercises.

3.02am – Gianna, Christie and Logan David are all in a bed massaging each other, and Christie asks Logan about love. Logan says he falls in love quickly – he’s a sucker for it. He doesn’t want anyone too identical (lol), he wants some one who will clash. Christie asks if he is attracted to anyone – but Logan won’t answer that yet. He says he doesn’t know he’s only been there 6 days.

Day 4

8:31am: Lights are turned on in the bedroom. It’s Michelle’s 25th birthday today. Kate is the first to give her well wishes, followed closely by Gianna. Kate then gives her a little present on behalf of all the housemates. It contains several things; a pack of fake tattoo’s, a top which says “It’s all about me” and also a tiarra. Over in the store room, Tim, Angela and Gianna are figuring out what to take out to their kitchen for the day. Tim is worried that they will be eating cauliflower and tuna for several days if they’re not careful. Angela thinks there will be enough meat to last. Gianna admits to not even getting a banana yesterday, suggesting that people perhaps think that they will eat fruit because there is no preparation in it.

In the bedroom, Kate asks Logan whether he is going to do a workout or have a hot shower. Logan says he’ll do the workout, have a swim and sit in the sauna before having a cold shower. In the sauna, Constance is treating Angela’s hair (Constance is a hairdresser.) Angela hopes that Michelle has some ideas on what they can do today to pass the time. They refer back to the argument the day before with Gianna, Michelle and Christie. Angela thinks Michelle was influenced by “Little One” (Christie) and thus spoke up. Over in the gym, Logan, Hotdogs and Dean are working out. In the bedroom, Constance has borrowed some of Geneva’s clothes today. Constance asks Michelle if she is feeling a bit homesick today because she’s not with her family. She says she isn’t, but als says she’ll cry if she has a crap day.

Big Brother is conducting a survey for this week’s task; the getting to know you task. He is calling all housemates to the diary room individually; Nelson is first. When asked, “If you had to doublecross one housemate, who would it be?”, he says Christie. Constance asnswers Gianna. Gianna answers Constance. BB next asks Geneva “Which housemate would you most like to kiss?” Geneva answers Constance. Logan answers Michelle. Michelle answers Dean. Dean decides not to answer the question. Back in the bedrom, Glenn is doing a bit of dancing, country style! He goes on to tell the group how he would go about courtin’ up with a girl at a local pub.

5:14pm: Kate & Nelson are talking in the bedroom. Nelson reveals that he went out with a girl named Kate for 4 years. He goes onto say that the girl was exactly like Kate. He then says that if he was stuck with someone, he would want someone like Kate to not be there. Kate apologies, but says it doesn’t upset her. Nelson says “you get what I mean though?”, meaning that he wasn’t having a dig at her personally. Kate says she likes herself, and yet she looks at Nelson and wonders what he has going for himself. She says that Nelson could be the caring, sweet guy, but he would rather be the farter. Kate deciedes that she is going to wait and hope the nice guy in him comes out.

In the kitchen, Michael and Logan are checking on the stew being prepared for tonight’s dinner. Over on the couch, Michelle doesn’t seem happy. She says she thinks it’s really rude for smeone to not do something for someone’s birthday. Kate decides that if BB won’t put on a party, they will make one themselves. She tries to get others to get dressed up for dinner. Hotdogs is called to the diary room and told of plans for the suprise party that BB has organised. In the bedroom, Michelle starts to cry, saying that no one has decided to get dressed up. Angela runs out to consult all the other housemates, and trys to get them to put a bit more effort in. Just after this, Michelle comes back out and convinces them all there is no need to get dressed up for dinner. They sit down and start eating, not before a toast from Kate who says that Michelle has reached a milestone (25) and that they will make tonight a night to remember.

7:08pm: Michele is called to the diary room and asked to complete her survey so Big Brother can set up the suprise. She thinks that Angela is playing the game the most. Cut to the bedroom, where Hotdogs explains his earlier instructions given to him by BB. Back to Michelle, who thinks that Gianna is the most attractive in the house. Finally BB asks her how her birthday is going. She says it started well, but not doing so good tonight. When asked why, she sheds a tear and she says that it doesn’t feel like she is doing anything to celebrate a pretty important birthday. The housemates are told they can leave the bedroom to get ready for the suprise. Big Brother also lets Michelle out of the DR soon after. Suprise! She hugs everyone, then says that she feels terrible now because she thought BB was a asshole. When all the housemates have a drink, LOgan is called to the diary room. Another swap occurs. To avoid questions, LOgan brings out with his an easel and two cardboard pieces of paper, one with all the girls photo’s on it, one with the boys. The girls are then told to go to the bedroom. The TV in the living room comes on, and the reason for the bottom shots the previous day are revealed. The boys have to guess which bottom matches which girl. When completed, they go to the bedroom, and the girls do the same for the boys.

9:31pm: Dean, Nelson, Constance and Geneva are sitting at the dinner table talking away from the main group who are on the couch. Nelson says that people in the house are terrified of bitching about people behind anyone’s back. Nelson says he loves it, he hates confrontation. Dean suggests that whatever happens, these 4 at the table should always be completely honest with each other. Nelson goes on to say that he thinks Angela and Michael are playing the game. Nelson says the only people he doesn’t like are Gianna and Kate. Dean agrees with him. He goes further by saying that there are a handful of other people in here who he has no time for.

Later, in the spa, a game of spin the bottle gets underway. Michelle spins first, and like magic, has to kiss Logan. Next to kiss are Glenn and Angela. The first girl-girl kiss occurs between Christie and Michelle, but the boys aren’t out of the action, Michael and Logan pairing up next!

Inside, not participating are Constance, Dean, Nelson, Hotdogs and Geneva. They complain that they still can’t get close to Logan. The spa game is over, and several housemates go to the diary room to talk to Big Brother. Glenn tells BB that he thinks Angela was the best kisser. BB asks the mood of the house. Angela says it’s good, but there is obviously two groups tonight. Angela and Michael both say that there is no pressure for the other group to participate, but they could have watched and had a laugh with everyone.

3:28am: Lights are turned out. Everyone yells out “Night Dog”, in reference to the day before with Hotdogs had to say goodnight three times before getting a response. Logan says he hopes Michelle had a good day. She say thanks to everyone.

Day 3

8.41am – The store room is now open for the housemates. Gianna is up to choose ingredients for today’s bread. She walks out to the store room without her microphone. $5000 fine. In the bedroom Gianna apologises to everyone.

In the isolation room Logan David is having some fun with the exercise ball. Angela can’t understand why people are forgetting their microphones – she asks Dean about it and he says it’s hard to keep up. There is talk over who will make today’s bread. Angela says maybe she should because she hasn’t done any.

When asked about making bread the new Logan wings it and says he has, which is correct. Dean asks him which brunette he’s after. Dean comments Christie is getting some looks from him as well. They all ask which way he is leaning, but the new Logan is dumbfounded and doesn’t know which way to go.

10.16am – Showertime, Michael is naked and Logan joins the showers. In the bedroom Angela and Nelson are saying it’s impossible to get to know Logan in the house. Nelson takes the homoerotic approach and says it’s because he doesn’t shower nude: “he’s different”.

Nelson is called to the diary room. They must all photocopy their bum as a party game for Michelle’s birthday party. Dean is eager to go. Angela doesn’t look happy. Michael can’t help but laugh.

BREAK

7.27pm – The housemates are in groups talking about relating to each other. Dean says Gianna talks more to herself in the mirror to me. On the other side of the house, Gianna says she doesn’t get along with Angela and Constance. Christie says Constance is too much for her. Gianna can’t explain Constance, “she’s nothing wrong with her I just clash”. Gianna says she hasn’t done anything wrong and they have to have a reason to nominate her.

Meanwhile Angela is talking about all the things Gianna has said about herself – including being a blackbelt.

Gianna is now looking at reasons to nominate people, she explains. Gianna and Christie are called to the diary room. Angela wonders what they were talking about. They wonder why they are readjusting her boobs. In the diary room Big Brother warns the girls about their conversation: the talk of housemates and the talk of nominations were too close. Outside the HMs gossip about the girls being in trouble. Christie tells Big Brother they didn’t realise the change of conversation. Big Brother fines them $5000.

Angela asks Christie what happened with Big Brother but Gianna butts in: “nothing”.

Geneva, Glen, Constance, Dean, Angela are all called to the diary room. Big Brother warns them about using code names for the other housemates, and it’s still not ok if they explain the code for BB to hear. BIg Brother fines them $5000. Next warning will be a strike.

BREAK

9.39pm – The HMs emerge from the diary room. Gianna and Christie won’t reveal they were fined but Angela says the second group was fined. Gianna and Christie let out a guilty “oh”. Christie says things are getting feisty, she feels like she’s being bitched about. Most of the girls are in the bedroom now. Michelle and Christie are suspicious about the code and what they were talking about. Things get a little heated when Gianna won’t reveal why they were in the diary room. She lies and says they didn’t get any fines.

Michelle is annoyed because people aren’t inviting other people to do things with each other. Constance and Angela think this is ridiculous because it’s not primary school. Michelle uses a specific example where Angela asked Dean to go with a spa with her. Gianna agrees. Angela gets angry that an incident is being turned against her. She says what Michelle and Gianna are saying doesn’t make sense.

Nelson joins the housemates and Gianna explains she just wants to have fun in the house. Angela says she can just pull her tits out. Gianna denies that but everyone else says she does and she loves the mirror. They say she pulls poses without noticing it. Constance apologises for upsetting everyone.

Logan Greg is called to the diary room. He is going to be swapped again. He doesnt’ want to go back to the isolation room. Logan David joins him. Logan Greg has had a few problems with his fake tatoo. They have a minute to swap clothes and microphone.3 minutes to swap information. Greg explains the photocopying task, the bitching between the girls, and doing weights the next day. Logan Greg leaves the diary room and Logan David re-enters the house. He tells the other housemates he had to photocopy his ass again.

The housemates aren’t convinced. Angela says he turned around while talking, which is what she does when she is lying.

BREAK

10.35pm – New Logan David is outside with Nelson with the gym equipment. Constance comes out to ask why he REALLY was in the diary room. Logan says he can’t talk about it, and he has a scared look on his face. Constance asks him if he’s playing the game. Logan says he’s just sticking to rules.

1.05am – Logan is doing a goosebumps trick on Michelle’s back. He gives her goosebumps. Michael says maybe Logan has made his decision. They tell him to give Michelle a birthday kiss because it’s after midnight.

Logan Greg is in the isolation room

Logan David is doing a dance for everyone to see in the bedroom. He gives Gianna the goosebump trick. Christie says Logan has “come out” tonight. Michelle said he had a quiet patch during the day. Logan says he was sick during the day which is why he didn’t say much. Lights out. Logan is asking people how they sleep in bed, and how he has lots of room in bed.

Most beds have three people in them! Hotdogs is hugging some one in bed(?).

Logan tries to get Michelle to do the goosebumps trick on him while he lies on his stomach in bed. We leave with an inviting shot of Michelle blowing on his neck. Kinky!

Day 2

8.04am – Logan David is up and working the gym. Logan Greg is in the isolation room, and because he’s smaller, he’s been working out to look more similar to David. Christie is up and greets everyone, promising herself she’d do exercises, which consists of just putting her arms up. Inside Geneva is doing areobics and stretches. Tim is making bread (again!!!).

Outside there is talk of Dean snoring and farting in bed. Kate says she’s going to have to get used to boy noises. In the bedroom Glenn is up and chatty. He’s called to the diary room, for an obvious microphone violation. Big Brother tells him that he should be reminded about the microphones as it’s a fundamental principle of the show.

Morning shower time. Kate and Gianna are drying off. Kate to the diary room – egads it’s another microphone violation – who saw that coming!? Another reminder from Big Brother.

10.35am – All housemates to the diary room. Mike tells us this season’s HMs have broken more rules than the other seasons so far. Big Brother tells the group they are failling to take the rules seriously. Since entering the house they have had more than 50 warnings about banned topics and microphones. Warnings have been treated as jokes. The group look like a bunch of high school kids who have just been told off by the teacher.

Big Brother introduces the penality system. There are nervous giggles. A fine will be deducted from the prize money. Fines will start at $5000. Michelle gasps and everyone looks a little glum for obvious reasons.

BREAK

11.13am – Kate is annoyed at some bad habits and doesn’t want to be desensitised. Michael says he doesn’t want her to become desensitised because it takes the fun out of burping on her. He also shows concern that the HMs are wasting time learning irrelevent info about each other for the task. Kate tells Nelson she’s waiting for the moment for him to not be a derrogotory a-hole. Kate says the worst thing about him is him in the morning where he goes around throwing insults at everyone.

In the bedroom Hotdogs is cracking onto Michelle – AGAIN. He tells her she gets sexier every day they’re in the house. She says she hates closeminded people, arrogance etc.

In the isolation room Logan Greg is having his last meal before leaving.

2.06pm – Kate is monitoring Nelson’s porridge, she doesn’t seem content with it but he wants to be in control of his cooking. Tim ate some tomatoes that were meant for a meal later on. Gianna is annoyed. Kate says there were hardly any tomatoes left anyway – they have a whole tin left somewhere. Tim apologises. Kate tells Nelson he’s not doing his porridge properly – he tells her to fuck off four times.

Tim says the tomatoes are the nail in the coffin of his relationship with Gianna. Meanwhile she’s outside bitching about the eaten tomatoes.

Nelson is in the bedroom telling Hotdogs that Kate is shitting him off about the porridge. Meanwhile Kate is telling the other housemates the porridge isn’t very good – so add lots of sugar. More bitching from Nelson to Hotdogs. Hotdogs says sometimes it takes a little time for some women to come round.

BREAK

2.47pm – Dean is in the diary room. He says he feels like he’s been in the house a week or two already. People are getting cliquey. He feels a little on the outside or in the background. Gianna seems to keep looking at herself in the mirror – good on her. Thats about it.

In the bedroom Christie is chatting to Tim – under the covers. She says she finds him intriguing – there is something warming and comfortable about him. She asks if he had one wish right now what would it be. Tim says he would like to live in the BB house for 6 months with the ability to come and go a bit. Christie agrees.

Nelson is in the diary room now. He says he has a particular dislike to Kate over the porridge incident. Constance is a champ and engaging, very natural. He likes Logan but thinks Logan is keeping him at a distance (we know why!)

In the isolation room Logan Greg is flipping through an FHM.

6.29pm – Gianna is showing off a dance routine she has devised on the stripping pole. Hotdogs says it’s the money show. Logan, Hotdogs and Glenn are all having a perve on the couches. Gianna says she will never be a stripper, despite the guys who think she has a lot of potential. Gianna says she will get a stirppers pole installed in her house for her boyfriend. Logan hugs Christie and Gianna asks where her cuddle is. She gets one … from Christie. Gianna goes back to pole dancing, much to the entertainment of the boys.

Christie jumps on the pole and starts to climb it, but the boys aren’t impressed. The boys tell her to dance with Gianna. Christie gives it a go but she’s nowhere near as sexy as Gianna. Glen joins them and Christie ties his blue singled up. Glenn tries to pole dance. Gianna goes back to shaking her little booty.

BREAK

8.18pm – Logan David has been called to the diary room.

Recap from Monday Night’s live show:

Approx – 8.12pm – Logan in isolation is led through the camera runs to the main house. Logan in the main house is called to the diary room and sits down. OTHER Logan walks in with a blindfold. Big Brother announces a switch will take place immediately. They have 1 minute to swap clothes and microphones. A quick bum flash later they are swapped.

They only have 3 minutes to swap information. Tatoos and scars have been talked about with the housemates. He shares a bed with Glenn. They do a little “Meet the Parents” action going on. There is clarification on whether there is really a guy called Hotdogs in the house. They swap different actions to do, and where people come from. Logan David says to stay away from the Journalist (Tim). He hasn’t gotten any chicks yet.

Logan David leaves without his shoes. Logan Greg goes into the house. The new Logan wonders into the kitchen and is very silent, very wide eyed. Tim asks him whats going on and the new Logan says it was just a microphone issue. He doesnt’ really know what to say or where to go. He goes into the bedroom where a bunch of housemates are throwing around a ball. They get Logan to lie in a few differenent positions while they joke around. New Logan laughs a few times but is otherwise silent.

Logan David is now in the isolation room. He looks bored.

Gretel now explains the twin swap plan. They have a secret door in the bedroom toilet! There is an inconspicious red light to alert the current main house Logan that it is time to swap. After that he will only have 4 minutes to swap information again.

Back in the house the ball is still being thrown around in the bedroom. Logan is still rather silent. Lots of swearing going on. Gianna eagle eyes the bedroom and says she is buggered.

New Logan is still not saying much – he’s more involved with the ball throwing. He almost looks like Blair from BB1.

Dean starts talking about a “Loidy” which is a dirty sanchez on the teeth. Nelson doesn’t know what a dirty sanchez is but Constance quickly fills everyone in: it’s when you stick your finger up your bum and then you wipe it on some one’s top lip. Constance says her boyfriend did it to her once: “it was awesome”. She said that once they had a fight so she spat in his beer without telling him and he gave her a dirty sanchez.

Gianna asks if there is a sexual position called a Red Dragon or a Angry Dragon. It’s censored out with beeps, unfortunately.

Back to the Tuesday Night show:

Meanwhile Angela is trying to find the owner of an anonymous pair of underpants. Not Tim – maybe Christie? Michael and Angela are outside discussing Hotdogs. Angela likes him because he will try things. Michael says his favourite people are Angela, Tim and Geneve and Christie.

Logan and Glenn are playing badminton. Logan tries to switch hands while playing because he uses a different hand to his twin. Other HMs are in the spa, thinking of different names for Gianna. They suggest “titalina”. Nelson says he needs to ask more questions about Gianna’s studies – he thinks she’s lying because she’s ‘dopey’.

Gretel greets us on the Tuesday night show again to tell us about the lack of footage for this timeslot because of the very rude conversation going on in the bedroom (read above).

BREAK

11.15pm – New Logan has been accepted by the housemates without question. He and Greg create a game jumping over cushions – Michelle doesn’t look impressed.

In the spa Angela and Constance are talking about the changing nature of Logan – he’s not easy to bond with anymore. Inside Glenn and Michelle are playing the new game where they spin around on bar stools until they are dizzy and then try to navigate a cushion obstacle course. Michelle falls over and needs some assistance to get up, in a ball of laughter.

Spa HMs are still talking about how hard it is to get to know Logan in the house. Angela says his unsociability has made him not so appealing anymore. Constance says she loves Tim – he’s not sexy but a great guy. Michael says Tim is his rock.

Hotdogs and Logan are playing the spin game now. Constance and Nelson are discussing who is playing the game – the people who are upset about the fines from the prize money. They are joined by Geneva who is asked who Logan is chasing – sometimes Christie sometimes Gianna. Nelson said he’d be better going after just one. Logan says the easiest one would be Michelle, but Geneva says Michelle is looking for love. Geneva reveals she would have sex with Hotdogs. Geneva didn’t tell her best friend she was going into the Big Brother house – for fear of being kicked out of the show.

BREAK

1.09am – Dean discusses house dynamics with Kate. He feels he’s not part of the group as much as everyone else. Kate agrees and says its an odd feeling – it’s harder for girls maybe? Dean says out of the guys there’s only two that he’d really sit and talk to: Nelson and Michael.

In the isolation room, Logan David is going to bed.

Constance is asking Logan Greg who he likes. He says he likes everyone and he doesn’t know. Constance begs it out of her – it won’t leave this room. Logan is still making his mind up. Constance says there are 3 possibles for him. Meanwhile Logan David is asleep.

In an overly-casual situation the housemates are lying all over each other half naked and discussing Logan. Hotdogs wants to know why Nelson has a whole lot of girls in bed with him.

3.23am – Lights are turned off without warning. Dean is in bed and talking without his microphone. A $5000 fine. Some of the housemates start laughing. The housemates are looking foward to some better food in the house tomorrow. Christie says she is “very intelect” – 3 times. People “misconstrew” her mind.

Also on Behind Big Brother

Day 1

12.09am – Christie is called to the diary room. Inside is a chart with the different housemates and their names. Big Brother tells Christie (and the other housemates who follow her later) that she must nominate one housemate who will not receive their luggage for the duration of the series. The housemate with the most nominations loses their luggage. The HMs have 10 seconds to decide.

Nelson immediately nominates Dean without thinking twice. Big Brother must remind him to only answer when BB wants the answer. Constance can’t remember everyone’s names.

Angela nominates Gianna
Gianna nominates Nelson
Nelson nominates Dean (again)
Dean nominates Kate
Christie nominates Kate
Tim nominates Michael
Glenn nominates Hotdogs
Constance nominates Gianna
Michelle nominates Constance
Kate nominates Constance
Logan nominates Constance (or is that Constantine?)
Michael nominates Constance
Hotdogs nominates Michael
Geneva nominates Christie

The high votes go Constance – 4, Michael – 2, Kate – 2, Gianna – 2

Back in the bedroom Hotdogs is calling girls to come lie with him in bed, saying there is only limited spots available. Nelson starts talking about Christie reffering to her as “it”. He says “it thinks its tops”. Christie cottons on that she is being talked about and gives Nelson a wink, who cracks up laughing. Christie comes over and sits between Nelson and Dean (Nelson nominated Dean just moments ago). She says she is like the sandwich between two meatballs (!?).

They talk about who is interesting. A vote goes towards Logan. Big Brother calls all housemates to the lounge. He explains the luggage situation. Everyone is slightly nervous. Constance is asked to bring her suitcase to the diary room. She is obviously annoyed and tells the other housemates off. She says she won’t speak to them now. Kate says she’s perked up a bit now she’s learnt she will have her suitcase.

In the diary room Constance gets a little teary about losing her suitcase. She is not to have any of her possesions at all. She says everyone was talking to each other and not her. Big Brother instructs her to take out keys for everyone else’s luggage. Constance says “I don’t know why they hate me so much”.

Michael and Kate have decided to sleep in the same bed. In the bedroom the housemates find that most of their toiletries except for toothbrushes and razors have been confiscated. Michelle seems to think they will get it back at some time later on. Housemates offer Constance the use of their clothes, including Michael. Kate offers clothes too, even though she voted for Constance.

3.12am – Christie gets Glenn to play a game where he keeps ducking under her arm with his eyes clothes. After a second she moves away so Glenn is bobbing up and down on his own. Logan cheers him on until he opens his eyes and realises whats going on.

The housemates start to settle down in bed. Bedding arangements we can see are Michael and Kate, Hotdogs and Gianna. In the isolation room the other Logan is sleeping peacefully.

Day 1
8.55am – Constance is up and in the diary room. She wants to talk about when she’s getting her stuff back. She feels she’s being punished for being loud and this is what they were looking for when they picked her.

Meanwhile Kate is up and about, but gets freaked out by the birds outside (she has a phobia of birds).

Big Brother reminds Constance it was the housemate’s decision. Its a very clear “NO” from BB.

Nelson is up and has a big hangover from last night. According to our voiceover Mike, he has already been sick this morning. Kate says good morning but is asked to keep it down. Nelson isn’t saying much for obvious reasons. Nelson goes back to bed much to Kate’s annoyance. Constance too, decides to go back to bed.

… but not for long. The bedroom lights are turned on. Everyone wakes to the sound of Michael chuckling. He says the fluro lights make everyone look really sexy when you haven’t had much sleep. Constance explains her morning trip to the diary room.

Logan in the isolation room is waking up too. In the main house everyone is showering and at this stage it looks like it’s mainly bikinis in the shower except Kate. The HMs joke about Constance’s lack of clothes. Christie and Constance are in the same bed and Christie is glad she doesn’t snore or hog the bed space. Michael is annoyed their deoderant was confiscated.

In the isolation room Logan is practicing putting on a fake scar to match his twin. Christie is now in the diary room, and asks Big Brother if she can have her foundation back. She says she’s very self concious and without it her personality changes. She will swap anything to get it. Big Brother says NO.

BREAK – Sarah Marie has lost even more weight! A little too much if you ask me. Maybe she should eat a KFC Twister.

11.35am – Tim comments to Christie about all the lights being used. Constance shows she has her brother’s names tatooed on her arm.

Gianna has been asked to gather everyone in the lounge. She has a note from Big Brother. It’s the usual first weekly task: they must learn everything about each other and will be tested later on. They can choose either 50% or 100% to bet on weekly shopping. They decide 50%. There is a little disorganisation about how they will go about this. HMs start revealing info randomly. Tim suggests they split into pairs to make it easier. Suddenly an idea to get into the spa together pops up. Nelson leaves the group and the task to go swimming.

Geneva is talking to Hotdogs and reveals she is bisexual and is attracted to ‘someone’ in the house. Hotdogs asks what she will do about the attraction. Geneva says she will get them “quite tanked”.

Logan in the isolation room is teaching himself housemate names. Constance, Christie, Glenn and Michael are in the spa. There is talk of spirituality in the anatomy.

Hotdogs comments on Gianna’s highly photogenic qualities, but can’t quite find the right words to use. Gianna says she isn’t a model or anything. Apparently she’s too short to be a model.

Gianna studies engineering and computer and mathematical sciences, much to the bewilderment of Nelson. He seems to think she is more suited to being a fashion guru or a teacher. Gianna goes on to explain all of her academic persuits in high school. Hotdogs butts in to say he is “street smart”.

3.17pm – The HMs are in the living room. BB explains almost all housemates broke the rules in reguard to prohibited goods. HMs may choose only one item from the many boxes of confiscated toiletries on the dining table. BB tells them which box to choose from.

Christie is the toothpaste box
Michael is the shampoo box (even though he has no hair!)
Kate is the deoderant box
Logan is the moisteriser box?
Glenn is the perfume box
Geneva is the misc box?

6.02pm – Dinner time. Kate is warned about her microphone after getting out of the spa. She’s called to the diary room and told off. Outside Hotdogs and dean are playing noughts and crosses on a wall – a big no no! Big Brother calls them to the diary room to tell them off. They must both read the housemate rule book from cover to cover.

While making dinner, Michael is called to the diary room. He’s not wearing his microphone! He must also read the rule book.

Logan in the isolation room is amusing himself with some gym equipment.

7.13am – At the dinner table. Kate has a problem with burps at the house. Christie cheers the cooks of the first dinner.

8:30pm – Talk of first impressions. Angela says everyone needs to yell to be heard. There is a general concensus that Michael is the loudest. Meanwhile Logan and Hotdogs can’t keep their eyes off the younger hot girls in the house. Hotdogs is talking about how Michelle is cute and they should go to bed, jokingly… ?

Outside Geneva tells Angela she doesn’t like Michelle because she’s too outward. Also Michelle apparently eats a lot and they only have limited food in the house. Angela says she needs to realise they are in a big house with lots of people.

Glenn, Kate and Tim are talking task. Glenn says he’s still living with his parents, and he is on a break with his girlfriend…sorta. Logan in the isolation house is watching a DVD and having a beer… oh, and making weird noises with his mouth.

Christie says she came into the house to find love. Michael is a little against that idea. Christie predicts Michelle and Logan to hook up. Angela says Logan has also been watching Gianna. Michael says Michelle and Gianna are too self absorbed in their looks. He doesn’t date girls like that – he wants a tomboy. They all agree Geneva is great. Tim says he showered naked. Angela wore toggs.

Geneva is in the diary room. She says Kate and her will never get along. She feels attraction is starting to play alot with the younger boys – Logan and Dean. It irritates her because she’s not in with the pretty girls.

10.35pm – Hotdogs is in Michelle’s bed and asks if she wants to cuddle. She says no but they do anyway. He jokes about “having her” by the second night. He says he is the best kisser. He’s been told this by every woman he’s been with. Gianna is watching them with an eagle eye.

Monday night special continues in the Day 2 recap on BBBA.

The Launch

Cue the credits. BB2005 is here. Countdown from 5 to 1, before the rubix cue starts rolling into our TV screen to start the new opening credits for this year. Also, we have a slightly remixed version of the usual theme music. The new version doesn’t tell us how many days it will run for. Huge view of the crowd, before BB comes over the top to give us an overview of the past four years! A four minute clip package showing all the highlights, as well as some lowpoints, of each of the 4 previous seasons, before we come back live and MIke welcomes us to the 2005 edition of Big Brother. Gretel is then welcomed onto the stage, but before she arrives, we see from the giant screen on the middle of the stage every damn outfit the woman has worn on each past eviction/special night of the show over the past 4 years. Like magic, the TV splits into two, and Gretel enters the arena to a cheer of support.

“Hello and welcome. Sit down – we’ve got a great night” is her first sentence for the new year. Straight and to the point Gretel! She asks the crowd if they are excited, which naturally gets a gigantic roar. She goes on to tell the crowd that they completely knocked down the old house and started from scratch. She goes onto say that they won’t actually reveal it all to us tonight – they will keep some special rooms for other occasions. However, we will meet the housemates. She says some are clever, kind, hot or not, even some that think that the sun shines out of their you know what, and finally, some that perhaps don’t think at all. She says tonight we will also meet our imposter. She starts to reveal something else…then thinks about it, as if asking BB if it’s ok to reveal, before telling us that it’s to do with the money. She does want to tell the audience one thing however regarding the Imposter. She reveals that the housemates have been in lockdown since last Tuesday, and therefore have no idea of any imposter. She tells the audience that they are not able to make a noise about that subject in any way, shape or form during tonight’s festivities.

Gretel goes onto tell us that the housemates are waiting just outside, but first, we are to meet, or rather re-meet, our kings and queens from past years. Gretel asks us to please welcome Ben, Peter, Reggie and Trevor. The four walk down the main ramp that all housemates are now accustomed to walk down during an eviction. They all gather on stage, and Gretel says that of course, it isn’t ‘their’ night anymore, because we’re trying to build a new sensation this year. She starts with Pete. She asks him how he felt the first night. Pete says he was fine until he got out of the car, saw the lights and Gretel’s face. He said at that point he wanted to go home. Gretel reminds us that he did have his fly undone that opening night. Ben is next to tell his story. He says he was soo nervous, but walking back through the crowd again tonight has nearly made him cry again. He says it’s such a good feeling. She turns to our Reggie. She gets a heap of applause. Gretel asks her if she can remember what it was like, to which our darling Reggie of course says “WHAT!?” She goes onto say ‘sorry, i wasn’t listening to ya!’ Gretel asks her what she was thinking about, to which Reggie says she was just trying to soak it all in, because she didn’t do that last time. Gretel decides to give Reggie a moment or two, and move onto Trevor. However, he himself is laughing as well still at Reggie. SHe asks Trev if winning has changed his life. He says it has, he’s bought a house, got married, bought a car. Gretel congratulates him on his weddding, which was just last weekend. Finally, Gretel decides to ask everyone what they are up to nowadays. Reggie is with Virgin Blue, Pete is back at Uni studying Medicine, Ben has a few sports athletes signed up for Pacific Sports Management, while Trev just stands there and doesn’t get asked. She thanks them all, before moving on to talk about the audition process. Cut to clip package.

Gretel is doing the voiceover, explaining that there were no video tapes this year, with live interviews on the spot performed right around the country. She explains that each hour hundreds pass through the registeration section, and move into groups for the first stage. She says it’s a 12 hour day just to get rid of the crowd for producers. Standouts get to go through to the second stage, where you get to talk to the camera for one minute. There were a few rules, you had to tell them why they should choose themselves to go into the house. They were hoping that people wouldn’t tell them that they are ‘fun’ Of course, the clip package now shows 5 people, one after the other saying that they are fun, before a few flashing their racks and finally, a charming young lady telling us that she sees dead people. Back to the stage again with Gretel. She says again that the housemates are just outside. She says to join her after the break for the first housemate.

Gretel is back, ready to introduce the first housemate. However, first thing is first. Gretel reveals that BB has told the housemates that some of them might not be going into the house. However, all of them actually will go in. Our first housemate is from Victoria who likes to be the centre of attention, and likes to break rules. In the clip she says she doesn’t think she is a successful person at all….alas she says she does it with such conviction that she just doesn’t care. Her name is Constance, and she is 21 years of age. “When I was little my mum’s boyfriends used to call up and I would say she can’t come to the phone right now cause she’s on the toilet doing a big shit.” Charming…She likes to hang out with boys, drink a lot of beer, and get kicked out of bars. She’s flirtly, funny and perhaps a little bit mad. She doesn’t like people who are always positive because they are annoying, however she thinks people that are negative are really funny to talk too. She admits she’s done some things that are wrong, but she doesn’t regret doing them. Constance finally enters down through the giant screen, and is greeted by Gretel. She looks very confident. Gretel asks her how she is feeling, to which she replied “I’m shitting myself..” She says lockdown was boring. She is open to hooking up in the house, asking ‘how hot are they?’ Gretel finally tells her she is going into the house, and she begins to walk up through the crowd on the ramp. Halfway up the ramp and the music suddenly dies, and Gretel is talking to the crowd again while it’s totally quiet, meaning that they have highly edited this piece tonight. She says that Constance will walk to the house, meaning we have time to quickly go in and see the house for ourselves…well via the cameraman I spose.

Shane is the cameraman, giving a thumbs up to tell us he’s there, and Gretel will be directing him round the house. Gretel tells him to go up the stairs, which are all white, even the walls and ceiling. Soon as he gets up there, he has to go straight back down stairs to get into the house proper. Turn left when you enter the house and you get the kitchen, which is very reddish. Straight off the kitchen is the bedroom, which has 2 plasma’s in it, and the walls have blue sky and clouds on them. 7 Double beds in the room, also looks like a toilet over in the corner, although Gretel doesn’t mention it (I’m just remembering from the house plan!) Carpet is on the wall directly on the right as you came into the house – Gretel reveals there is a secret behind that. Walk past the carpeted wall and you’ve got the Diary Room. See through door as you enter the DR again, into a foyer which has a very nice looking BB Logo on it. These doors are not seethrough. These open up to reveal a very orangery feel to the DR, Orange chair, orange walls, except for one part of it (directly behind the chair) which is light brown. A lovely water feature greets us as we walk out of the diary room. Gretel tells us that it is luckily placed right near the toilets. Turn right out of the diary room and we hit the bathroom. Same design for the bathroom as last year pretty much, but where you would take a shower, there is a new piece of seethrough glass, but it’s like a chessboard in that it has clear seethrough, then faded seethrough bits. The faded ones actually magnify. Geez, this should be an interesting season! The bathroom is blue this year. Brown wooden door in the corner reveals a sauna of course. Big couch area as you turn right out of the bathroom, followed by a dining room table (of sorts) a little further into the room on the left hand side. On the right of this is the dancefloor still intact from last year. Right next to that is of course a pole, to poledance. We head outside now, Turn directly right outside and we have a red floor, with a barbie and a spa, as well as a heap of chair type cushion things and perhaps a few small tables. Swimming pool is also quite close to the spa, and looks nice as always. Little bit of sand also next to the pool. Over beyond that we have the gym, which is set up on a chess board type floor (black and white). Get a look at the grassed area now to reveal some sport lines drawn on it. Shane of course heads for the secret silver double doors which have appeared over in the corner, but Gretel tells him he can’t go in there. Gretel tells us that beyond that door is a massive secret. We say goodbye to Shane now, and that is the Big Brother house! Moving on, Constance has arrived at the house. Gretel tells us that she must be checked by security, before she is allowed to enter the ‘waiting room’. The waiting room is what they are calling it tonight, Gretel tells us. She heads straight to another door, but that is locked. She realises that she is locked into just one room of the house, so she sits….and waits.

Back to Gretel, and we’re happy to meet our second housemate. She’s very flirty Gretel tells us, as well as getting very angry and defensive when criticised. Roll the clip package. “I wanna cause scandal, I just want to make the chicks intimidated, I wanna make the guys go wild, I just wanna rock the pants of everyone in the house.” I think this chick wants to do a lot of stuff! She looks young. Her name is Christie, she is a receptionist and is 19 years of age. She says she loves to spend money. She would rather hang with the guys rather than the girls. She says that girls often get jealous and start hating her for no reason. She says she is confident with guys, and that if she wants something she’ll just go up and get it. Christie goes onto say she doesn’t think she is bisexual, but the ‘door swings both ways.’ She is definately looking for love in the house. Christie thinks she is the package (Oh dear). She says she has the looks, the personality, the humour and the body. Oh dear again. Christie comes down through the megascreen as housemate number two. She does seem very confident though, saying to Gretel that is wonderful to be here. She says she has no self doubts at all, and asked if she is concerned about whether she will go into the house or not, she says everything happens for a reason. She suddenly lets out “I’m perfect!” OH DEAR. Gretel is speechless and just gives her a hug! Christie tries to explain herself by saying you have to be confident cause you only live once. Gretel likes the answer, and tells her that she is going into the house, so down the ramp she goes. After the break, the next 3 housemates.

We’re back again. Christie is about to enter the waiting room, but first, housemate number three. From Queensland this one, this housemate can be moody, very emotional and always anxious. Roll the clips. “I’m one of these fairytale girls trying to find love, and if it’s in the house, that would be awesome.” Her name is Michelle, she is 24, and a promotions model. She says she likes to look appealing to the opposite sex. She says she won’t hang out with the chick girls. She shows off her best friend for some unknown reason next. She says she will definately be hanging with the stirrers. She’s an athletics champion in the hurdles. She says she is really emotional, probably crys every day. (Geez!) She says if someone confronts her, she’ll take it to a certain point, and then let fly with everything she’s got. She wants fame, fortune, free clothes and hot guys. Michelle is welcomed to the crowd as she comes down the steps. She tells Gretel she is nervous, but so excited. Gretel tries to calm her down by telling her she is going into the house. She of course gets even more excited and nervous. Gretel does reveal and question Michelle about packing 36 pairs of underwear. “You can never have too many.” Good point that! Gretel asks if she is planning on picking up while in the house, and she replies that she would like too. She’s off on the ramp now ready to go into the house.

Back to Gretel and a mysteriously quiet crowd all of a sudden, who tells us that Christie is ready to go into the waiting room and meet the waiting Constance. Christie of course lets out a few squeals, and in typical no nonsense style Constance screams back “We’ve got one room, don’t get too excited!”. I might like this girl after all. Still sitting down, they go through introductions, before Constance points bluntly and says “That’s locked, and thats a toilet.” A minute of useless banter about when Gretel told them they were into the house, before we return to Gretel. Now, onto number 4. Perhaps every housemate is a girl?! Sounds good to me. But no, no way. The next housemate is a highly competitive person who likes to control the environment by manipulating others! This guy sounds good! Roll the clip. “Yeh, I’ll be a manipulator in the house for sure. I’d rather make someone in the house feel sad rather than me feel bored.” Blunt and to the point! His name is Dean, he’s 24, and a sales rep. He says he likes to laugh out loud, speak out loud and likes to speak his mind. He can fit his fist in his mouth. He says he likes to use the age old principle; ‘treat others how you would like to be treated and you’ll always have a smile on your face.’ He describes himself as a bit of joker, but says he doesn’t guard up. All the housemates will know exactly what he’s about if they take the time to get to know him. He says that people who he doesn’t like he doesn’t want near him, thus he’ll vote them out. “I will shower nude.” He says he would prefer people to stir, because if people sit back it would be boring. He doesn’t give a ‘toss’ what people think of him. Dean comes out onto the stagem and says “Unbelievable.” Gretel tells him that he is going into the house, and he is pleased. Gretel reveals that in lockdown he went through 3 tubs of margarine. He says yeh that he’s really healthy. He goes onto say that he’s a chef and uses heaps while cooking. With that, he’s gone down the ramp and off on the adventure of his life.

Dean is gone, and Gretel is back on stage. But she quickly throws us back to the waiting room because Michelle is about to enter it. Introductions first. Michelle and Christie both seem so happy and so “Oh my god” type, while Constance looks sooooo the opposite. Christie tells them of a story with her microphone. They were worried it would weigh the dress down, so they attatched it to her underwear. But then her bum looked huge. They ask all of them if they have boyfriends, to which none of the have. Back to Gretel, who reveals that Dean is attachted at the moment. But moving on. Housemate number 5. This housemate is a girl who is very warm, highly energetic, and likes to be in control. Roll the clip. “I am a happy, honest, down to earth girl.” It’s Kate from WA, a 21 year old, who works in Admin. She says her family think she walks around with rose coloured glasses on. She says while sometimes it can be bad, she does care what others think of her. She hates birds. She likens herself to Margaret Thatcher, in that she provoked a lot of people and stirred alot of anger. Her ambition in life is to be a successfull business woman. She also wants to be on the cover of TIME magazine, saying she wants to be bigger than Trump. She can do ‘noises’. She does a sprinker, pretty good too. She seems nice :) Kate comes onto the stage, and Gretel straightaway says she looks gorgeous. Clearly the best dressed so far, she is in a lovely pure black evening dress. Gretel tells her that she might be going into the house. Kate explains that she just wants to know. Kate then tells Gretel that she looks stunning. Gretel immediately tells her she is going into the house. Kate can’t believe it, asking her to repeat it. Gretel asks her what she wants to achieve by going into the house. Kate repeats the question then says she wants to do so much! Gretel, obviously seeing this is going nowhere, congratulates her and tells her to walk the ramp of fame. Cut now to Dean who enters the waiting room. Constance looks like she hasn’t moved from her seat even for a second. They introduce themselves. Christie tells him to get a drink, then starts rambling on about how they don’t know if the punch is spiked or not yet. Dean says he hopes so. Cut back to Gretel who sends us to the break asking us whether or not one of them could be the imposter.

Welcome back again from the break. 9 Housemates still to enter the house. We’re up to housemate number 6. This person is from NSW, highly emotional and impatient and can be suspicious in relationships. “it’s good to be honest, but anything goes in a game.” A plumber, Logan is 23. He says he is prepared to lie, piss of people, tell them what they want to hear and cheat. He’s confident. He tells us that he stopped playing football because of a serious facial injury. This led him to take up different sports, such as lawn bowls. He regards himself as a bit of a stirrer. “in the house, I’ll be sly, charming and I’ll win the game.” He says that his mum is pretty worried about him going into the house, because she thinks he’ll have sex with someone in the house. With that, Logan comes on stage and is introduced to the crowd. He says he’s excited. He doesn’t know whats going on. He says he’s a good chance of going in. Gretel tells him he is. He says he’ll win the game by being sly. Gretel asks him about love, to which he gives a sly reply, “possibly.”. Now, he’s off to the ramp, and we quickly cross to Kate’s entrance. Again introductions. Constance again is blunt – “we’re locked in this room only.” Someone says it’s just them so far.

Housemate number 7 back with Gretel now. From Victoria, this one is intelligent, emotionally imature and assertive. “One of my life ambitions is to find a very wealthy first husband.” It’s Angela, 29 and works as a company director. She says she is always looking for love. She says she hits on people without meaning too. She says that the guys always get around to eventually asking if she’s single, to which she always replies “I’m between dissapointments.” She reveals her heart has been broken many of times. Her last pash was only recently with a country boy. She says she is happy, as long as she gets her own way. And just to finish, she tells us she’s fabulous. Angela appears on stage and is greeted by none other than Gretel of course. She’s nervous, since January she says. She is relived and excited to be told she is going into the house. Gretel wishes her a wonderful time, and she is off. Just like that. Now back to the meeting room with Logan. Someone says he looks very familar. He tells them he’s 23 years old. Christie asks if he is single, and he says yeh. Dean yells out that he is the odd one out, being attachted. Back to Gretel, who tells us that they need someone from country Victoria. Described as likable, laid back and socially bold. “I spose people think of me as a country redhead hick kind of guy, but I don’t think that I am.” It’s Glenn, he’s 21 and a shearer. He says he had a real fun childhood. He likes Friday nights so he can knock off work, and going to the pub with the boys. He likes to go shooting with the boys also. 3 things that piss him off are blokes who are real smart asses, when the sheep kick him, and real feminist women. A big achievement was to sheer 200 sheep in a day. He thinks he’s smarter than people give him credit for. He thinks he could be a great Australian icon. Glenn comes down the stairs, through the megascreen to the cheering crowd. Gretel asks him if he is lapping it up already, to which he replied “Yeh mate.” Then starts laughing at something in the crowd. Gretel tells him he is going in, so he lets out a ‘cool’, before Gretel tells him he’s a pig, and that he actually cooked bush food in the hotel. He says he did. He says he’s pinging. Off to the ramp he goes. Oh dear….Time for Angela to enter. Logan gives her a wave to the delight of the audience back at the stage. Introductions take place. She goes and gets a water. Back with Gretel now, who reminds us that anyone could be the imposter. Back after the break.

Back to the show, and we are watching Glenn get checked by security before entering the waiting room. Housemate number 9 is from SA. “First thing people say are oh my god, your boobs.” It’s Gianna, she’s 24 and works in customer service. She was a state weightlifting champion. She rides horses and motorcycles. She is a first degree black belt. She says she is actually Lara Croft – ‘the movie was based on me!’. Yeh…She says in the house she’ll bring action and adventure. She tells us that she has had 3 or 4 marriage proposals thus far, and hates it when people are into her and yet she can’t stand them. “i’m not patient, i’m stubborn and too competitive.” She says no one wins arguments against her. Time for her to appear on stage with Gretel. She says hello to everyone. She is 5’10. Gretel asks if she thinks she’s going in, to which Gianna replies “you would be crazy not to have me.” She lets out a scream when Gretel tells her she can go in. She says she is open to the idea of love in the house. Down the ramp she goes. Now back to Glenn, who starts introducing himself. Dean asks if he likes beers, and Glenn replies ‘love um, crack me one.’ Totally stuffs up Constance’s name when meeting her. After introductions he says “I started badly yeh?” It quickly becomes the boys corner- girls corner room, before we throw back to Gretel. Onto housemate number 10. From NSW, this housemate is needy for attention. “I love politics and history and discussion of ideas.” It’s Tim, he’s a journalist and 27. He reveals he never does the washing up. He doesn’t understand people who get bored all the time. He says what would make him happy would be to get rid of John Howard; “He’s making a mess of this place.” He also decides he hates Lleyton Hewitt. The people he finds most annoying are the sexist people, the homophobic people as well as people who only look out for themselves. He knows he hasn’t got super looks, but he is happy and content. He says you do the best with what you’ve got. Tim is cheered on stage via the crowd. He is feeling fantastic. Gretel asks him if he going in, and he thinks so. Gretel finally tells him he is going in, and he cheers. Gretel says that during lockdown he put a towel over his head, jumped over the bed, and said “I am Blade…” OK then….down the ramp he goes, and while he does that, Gianna goes into the waiting room. Dean looks as if he’s just seen the most gorgeous girl ever, but isn’t he taken? They get through the intro’s, and Gretel whisks us back. Housemate number 11 is from Queensland and known as a thinker and a stratergist. “What i bring to the house is unparrelled barbeque skills.” It’s Nelson. He’s a typical aussie bloke, a very simple guy. He says his most prized possession is his thongs. He wouldn’t change Australia for quids, and says that he thinks little Johnny is doing a good job. He likes to fight back. He says he is also an army reservist. People that annoy him are people that can’t relax. Cut back to the stage and we see Nelson coming down the steps and waving to the crowd. He says he has no idea. Gretel tells him he’s not going in. Gretel tells us he didn’t pack much, but he looks nice, so Gretel changes her mind and lets him go in. He’s told to go down the ramp, and meanwhile, Tim is about to wait with the others in the waiting room. He gives one girl a big bear hug, and starts chatting away. Cut back to Gretel, who finally throws us to a comm break.

Back from the break. Housemate number 12 is up next. From NSW, he’s described as warm and loving. “I describe myself as loose, large and loud.” It’s Michael, a 27 year old who works in demolition. He says he is most well known for his laugh. He says he has a dream job, cause he gets to work in a crane and break things and walk around with his bum hanging out. He has a piercing through his nose, which leads his to say that he thinks the piercing makes a lot of people think he’s a thug. He says his Nan thinks he’s great though. He gets on better with girls; ‘they’ve got boobs’. Saying that, he does admit to having more guy friends than girl friends, because ‘girls can be hectic at times.’ He hates bimbos. He needs to wake up and be able to talk to them. Michael comes onto the stage. First thing we hear is his laugh. Gretel tells him straight off he’s going in. They talk about his piercings for a sec, before he too heads down the ramp. Gretel then crosses over to Nelson who walks into the hectic room. Nelson seems shy, going for the handshake with the girls rather than the kiss. He gets the hang of it after a while though. Now, back to Gretel, with number 13. She’s from NSW, and the most dominant of all the housemates. “I believe confrontation is really important.” It’s Geneva, she’s 19 and a bar manager. She is someone people can rely on. Her parents got divorced when she was 10, and took on the motherly role for her sister. She says there is nothing more important to her than her sister. Girls hate her more than boys do. “With me, you never know if I’m going to flirt with the boys or the girls, or both at the same time.” She will showe nude, and get some action in the house. Geneva walks down the steps and onto the stage. She’s very excited to see people. She says she is consense of the fact she might be going home. Gretel tells her when she is going in. She says she is worried for her little sister, who is 15. Up the plank she goes, and back to Gretel we go. Back to the waiting room with Michael entering. He just starts laughing and asks “was that big for you guys? That was huge for me..” Cut back to Gretel, who hopefully has the last one. No, we have to wait till the other side of the break for that one.

Now we’re back. Geneva is entering the waiting room. She almost runs in there. She says she is 19. Christie gets VERY excited by this news. Gretel tells us that Michael was eyeing her off, and apparently they already met through the audition process. She says she could also be making that bit up. Down to the final housemate. He is from WA, described as willful, energetic and an exhibitionist. He says he feels scared about showering naked. It’s HOTDOGS! He’s 27, and a Real Estate Agent. He doesn’t like rules and regulations. He is a bastard to most women. He says his ideal girl is a girl who likes to cook and clean. He does whatever makes him happy. It has been his quest since he saw his first set of boobs, to be the greatest lover ever. And now he comes onto the stage. Gretel starts by asking if they told him outside that he wasn’t going in. He says no they didn’t. “Thats a horrible thing to say!” Gretel changes her mind, and Hotdogs says “they’re letting the dog in the house.” Gretel tells him to watch his behaviour. Before he goes down the ramp, he takes an opportunity to wish his mum a happy mothers day, and that he’ll probably see her in a few weeks ‘no doubt’. Now, everyone is on their way or in the waiting room. So it’s time Gretel suggests for a few rules. They look exactly the same as last year and include the following: No contact with the outside word, constant camera’s and microphones watching all housemates, diary room visits are compulsory, nominations must be made, and give clear reasons, no discussions of nominations, all task are compulsory, no codes and english must be used, no violence allowed, and of course BB’s decision is final, and BB can change the rule whenever he wants. Gretel comes back to use and tells us one of the big secrets this year. Big Brother has changed the rules. Right now there is $1 Million in the kitty. However, at least $5000 will be deducted from the prize pool every time a rule is broken, even a small microphone breach. To put it into an example, last year housemates broke the rules 17 times in one week, $85,000 in one week it could cost them. Gretel tells us that they might not win a cent! Now it’s time for Hotdogs to enter the waiting room. He lets his real name slip within 20 seconds, Simon. I don’t understand why they aren’t using Simon. Back to Gretel, who tells us that security has discovered among other things, a Spiderman suit, handculfs and black tape like Merlin’s. The other side of the break see’s the housemates going into the house proper.

Back with Gretel who is in the control room. She runs through what the room actually does. It’s time now for the housemates to enter the house. BB comes over with his voice for the first time. They exit the way they came, come back almost to where they came, but now turn and in they go. A lot of “OHMYGODS!” Hotdogs runs out to the lawn and starts yelling, saying it’s gonna look stupid, but he promised someone he’d do it. They decide to have a toast. They see a lawnmower. They then check out the exercise equipment. It’s toast time. Tim drags Angela away, and instantly asks her about her first imperssions. She says nothing, and they move onto forming ideas for exercising. Angela wants to do it in the morning. Tim has champagne in one hand, a beer in the other. They say they can then go to the beach! Nelson has pulled Michael away, and tells him in no uncertain terms that he is in charge of the barbecue. BB announces that they can enter the bedroom. 7 double beds in there. They all go outside thinking itÂ’s out there. Nelson finds it first, and instead of telling people, he claims a bed. One guy says “ItÂ’s gonna have to be boy girl” in a bed. Funny guy. You wish. Angela doesnÂ’t know what to do about the beds, so Tim offers to sleep with her. She says thatÂ’s cool, cause he is being like a pretend husband for her. We pull away from the action, and reveal Gretel across the yard, behind a curtain, in what they like to call the “Isolation Room.” Gretel tells us that 15 people will be living under the BB roof, but only 14 in the actual compound. Comm break.

Back again, and Gretel is in the Isolation room. It’s self contained. Housemate number 15 stays here. It has a shower, toilet, fridge etc etc. It even has a TV and a nice lounge chair. The TV Gretel tells us is only for watching DVD’s however. Time to reveal the 15th housemate. He enters, and Gretel pulls off his mask. She says that this is Logan. Logan however, as we can see with the picture in picture mode, is in the house. Gretel tells us that there are 2 Logan’s. His name is Greg, and David is in the house. Gretel reveals that if both David and Greg can successfully swap places at BB’s word for a period of 2 weeks, then they both will be allowed to enter the house as housemates. The first change will be Monday night. Gretel leaves Greg by himself, and we head back to the house, where we see the current Logan (David) talking about high school. Someone asks him about this scars, not believing that they are all from rugby. Tim decides to jump in the pool with all his clothes on. Nelson and Constance are on the couch in the living area, and he suddenly says that someone keeps eyeing him from the dining table. He says she has the hots for him. Nelson says it’s Kate. He is acting half drunk by saying it loudly but saying Shhhhh. To the bedroom we go, where Geneva and Christie are. Geneva says she doesn’t think many people like her. Christie says to just be whoever she is. Christie says she thinks the hottest person is someone in a pink shirt, but not Tim. She thinks itÂ’s Leeroy? OK then. Gianna comes into the bedroom at this point. Back at the bitch session on the sofa, Constance asks Nelson if there is anyone he hates. Nelson says he doesnÂ’t know, but he likes Dean of the guys the most. Nelson however does think Dean is playing the game and holding back. Logan walks into the room, and Christie starts cracking up. OK. Obviously he is the guy in the pink shirt that they were talking about earlier. She finally asks him his name again. She tells him he thought he was Leeroy. He says heÂ’s from Wagga originally. He says he left the country at 14. He likes going back every now and then. Back to the couch. Constance says that she has tried to talk to the girls, but they wonÂ’t talk to her. Comm break.

Back and everyone is in the bedroom. Dean says to someone that he bets they can’t skull another drink. Kate immediately launches into Dean saying “Don’t! You bullied.” They talk back and forth about the definition of peer pressure. Dean seems to be waiting for it from Kate, but Kate just wants to give examples, and not define it. Finally, she asks Constance is she felt pressured. Constance says no, and thus Kate loses the argument. BB interrupts and calls all HM’s to the lounge IMMEDIATELY. We cut to Gretel who is in the diary room. She tells us that tomorrow night there will be a swap live tomorrow night for Dave and Greg.

Where’s Warren,
Dave
