Day 67

10:27am – Big Brother has delivered a foozball table for the haves, while Patrick tells Regina he had a dream that 2 new housemates would come into the house. One was a pretty chick – he says it was a very good dream. Big Brother announces that housemates may leave the bedrooms. As they walk outside, Regina spots the foozball table, and Patrick says he loves the game, but he can’t use it. There is now exercise equipment in the backyard and the coffee machine is back in the kitchen. The havenots go to tell the haves about the new stuff. They ask Chrissie if she can smell something? Chrissie says “don’t toy with me”. Chrissie is saying she doesn’t want to take her clothes off after a cameraman rudely commented on her weight

Outside Vincent spots the foozball table and is joyed. He is even more joyed by the coffee machine – rubbing it, giving it a kiss and saying “why did you leave us?”.

11:34am – Chrissie is called to the diary room to get details about the incident last night. Big Brother gives an official and personal apology and launched an investigation because they don’t want it repeated. Chrissie says she was shocked because of the circumstances – it was like going to the doctor and receiving an inappropriate comment. She says she doesn’t mind general talk from the cameramen but these comments aren’t appropriate. She was shocked because it happened when she was undressing.

11:47am – Chrissie tells Dan and Patrick they can talk to Big Brother if they want. She says it’s a dismissible offense. Regina and Patrick don’t know what happened – but the haves don’t bother telling them because they don’t need to know. Chrissie says to Regina “you might as well know” so she tells Regina about the cameraman. Regina is surprised and is glad it has been all sorted out. She says “I hope you feel better”.

2:11pm – Chrissie still can’t bring herself to have a shower. Patrick says he can come in with her and protect her from perves. Chrissie says she doesn’t care what people think it’s just she doesn’t want to hear it.

Later in the show Patrick asks if the housemates can have their homemade beer. Big Brother calls Patrick to the diary room and tells him they can have it. Outside Patrick doesn’t tell the haves BB’s decision, saying “you’ll find out”. Regina says she’s scared going back home. She knows it won’t be the same because Adrian’s family and friends.

7:12pm – Chrissie is playing foozball with Daniel while Regina goes into the diary room. Regina is given an individual task. She must play practical jokes on the other housemates – if she succeeds they all win a prize. Outside Regina tells the others that she was just talking about her bad stomach with Big Brother.

Later Regina goes into the house and puts salt in all of their beds.

Day 66

8:34am – Regina is showering outside with a drink. Patrick is up and must ask permission to use the toilet. In the kitchen Big Brother has left a blender for use by the haves to create juices and smoothies. Patrick sees the juicing machine and says they’re lucky it’s not a hand powered one. Regina and Patrick look over the fruit left and agree that they would rather have had the coffee machine. The haves are still lying in.

9:32am – Patrick is telling Regina that he woke up on the wrong side of the bed today. Regina tells him she won’t give him shit today. Regina thinks that ‘happy Patrick’ won’t come out today.

12:37pm – Vincent hasn’t had a smoothie before so the havenots whip up fruit smoothies for all the haves. The doctors have told Big Brother that Regina should be eating more fruit and bran, so Big Brother has allowed Regina to eat these on top of her havenot diet. The housemates talk about how Patrick is the only real havenot now.

2:35pm – Patrick is cooking a mid afternoon lunch for the housemates consisting of various cooked vegetables. Regina and Chrissie joke about only having toast and an orange for dinner. Patrick prepares the lunch while Regina and Chrissie contemplate the possibility that there will only be one girl in the house this time next week.

3:25pm – Chrissie asks Vincent if he loves being a have now. Vincent says he doesn’t love it but her prefers it. Patrick and Regina are eating outside as Patrick explains he wishes the task will be over by Friday. Regina says she doesn’t mind it probably because she’s used to serving people. Pat asks about her and Adrian. Regina says they met when Adrian was delivering milk to her ex’s shop. She says that he had a girlfriend at the time and while his girlfriend was on the mainland she went out with Adrian and things progressed from there.

4:13pm – Daniel finds out from Big Brother that his mini task was a success and so Patrick is given a gift which is a guitar tuner. As Daniel explains Regina is shocked and says “you sneaky devil”. Daniel explains why Big Brother chose him to do the task – because Daniel thought Patrick’s chords were not quite right.

5:59pm – While cleaning up in the kitchen Patrick uses a dish that Vincent was storing his rosewater in to store an onion. The other housemates are relaxing in the lounge room. Chrissie is reading in bed. The haves realise that not doing any cleaning or cooking is resulting in bordom in the house. Chrissie says she would love to have something like a cross-stitch to complete. She says she is a stimuli junkie and sometimes go for drives to random places just to do something.

11:08pm – The haves are still in the lounge room talking. Regina is asking about hypnotism and wonders how a swinging watch can make some one go to sleep. To pass the time, Daniel starts doing breakdancing moves on the floor which makes Chrissie laugh.. a lot. Regina warns Chrissie to stop otherwise she’ll pee her pants but Chrissie can’t stop laughing at Daniel’s dancing.

11:54pm – Big Brother calls the havenots to bed. Patrick and Regina wish each other goodnight in the store room.

Meanwhile Chrissie is undressing to have a shower when she hears voices from behind the wall saying “I know you like big women”. She immediately puts her clothes back on and goes out to ask Daniel and Vincent if it was them. They all realise that a cameraman made this rude comment so Chrissie immediately goes to the diary room to complain. Vincent says “let them have it”.

In the diary room Chrissie tells Big Brother that maybe the cameramen should be a little more quiet behind the walls. Chrissie emerges from the diary room calling the cameramen creeps. Daniel, to the microphones, says “I hope you’re happy whoever is listening”. Vincent goes to comfort Chrissie who is upset in the bedroom. He says that it’s unprofessional and un-called for. “Being insulted is not part of the contract”.

1:39am – Vincent goes to get his rosewater from the fridge in the kitchen. All he finds is Patrick’s onion and sums up his annoyance in one word: “fuck”.

Day 65

8:20am – Regina is up, but she has a bad headache. Regina and Patrick start making breakfast for the haves, and Regina asks Chrissie if she would like something to drink. Chrissie says they can’t have any coffee at the moment because they are out of milk and haven’t done the weekly shopping yet. Regina and Patrick have a good laugh, while Chrissie says “how funny is that”. Big Brother announces that the outside hot water is now on. Pat tells Regina he will be having a fully clothed shower today.

The haves are still in bed while Regina and Patrick shower in their bathers together outside. Patrick says showering outside is better because there are no mirrors all around him. Vincent is finally up as Patrick and Regina start sweeping in the kitchen. Regina exclaims this is the first time he’s seen Patrick with a broom in hand. 2 hours later at 11.45am Patrick is listing to the other housemates all the cleaning he’s done today.

Regina is cooking the roast chicken she won’t be able to eat.

12:22pm – The haves are doing the shopping, but Chrissie can’t find DVDs in the shopping list. She gasps at sushi. Vincent is annoyed that they don’t get DVDs so he’s going to the diary room to ask for them. Chrissie and Dan laugh about it. In the diary room, Big Brother tells Vincent DVDs may be available at a later stage. Chrissie is annoyed at this news.

Back outside Regina tells Pat she’s going to lie down because of her headache, while Pat does the washing.

Chrissie and Regina are in bed at lunchtime. Patrick comes in and tells Chrissie that it’s time for lunch. Chrissie is reminded that she was sick when she was a havenot. Patrick tells Regina to stay where she is (in bed) if she has a headache, but Regina says she better go help him. In the kitchen Daniel is glad Chrissie and Patrick are this week’s haves. Regina is shocked at the mess Patrick made with the roast while she was sleeping. She will go back to bed just after she finishes with the lunch dishes.

Later, the boys are talking about cars in the kitchen. Patrick explains remote controlled matchbox cars. In the lounge room Regina says the boys are having a bonding session. Patrick is explaining making cars jump. Chrissie is saying Dan is so lovely. She is reminded that this time next week there will be only 4 people (or so they think!). Regina is saying it’s funny how the boys go into the diary room and ask for things and argue but she would be embarrassed if she did these things.

Nomination announcements – Vincent, Patrick, Chrissie, and Daniel… I’m sorry that was Regina. Regina screams out “oh you bugger”. Daniel is very relieved but is annoyed he’s falling behind in the number of times nominated. Dan realises he will be in the house until the 11th week, they all wish him good luck. Regina calls him “Mr. Big”

8:49pm – Pat and Regina have to eat pumpkin soup while the haves can order takeaways. Tonight the havenots can have some champagne won for them by the haves last week.

9:06pm – Dinner is served to the haves (cans of coke and all) and the havenots go outside to eat. The haves thank the havenots while Patrick thanks Regina for making the delicious soup. Over a dinner of Chinese food, Daniel thanks the others for being haves. He says you need to have good people around you to enjoy the food properly – he can feel the enjoyment and positivity oozing out of his company. The others thank him back. Outside Patrick is asking how many people are in Tasmania. Regina says she was going to find out before coming into the house.

Chrissie says if she goes this week then it would be a great time to leave – after a week of luxury. Daniel says he’s trying not to think about Patrick because he pretty much chose to be a havenot the first time round. Outside Regina and Patrick are silent, but glancing at each other as they eat.

9:43pm – Jamie’s goodbye video. Vincent – you were very selfless and charming and a great listener and I couldn’t help but miscalculate perhaps some of your intentions and I was disappointed with how you reacted to this task I apologize if you took offense to anything we did – there was a miscommunication and I did not mean any harm by my actions…. You made amazing things out of nothing at all and you were very pleasant to have around the house…. sometimes it was like a maintenance man in the background.

Dan – there’s two sides to Dan – entertainer Dan and the one who stayed up late and chatted with me. Good luck to you too.

Reggie – sexy legs. You have so much more in you than fish and chips and you’ve achieved so much by being in the house you don’t know how special you are and that’s what makes you special. You are a real gem, don’t change because you are so hilarious.

Chrissie – I would have found it so much harder if you weren’t there. You reminded me of my family and friends and you were my rock in the house. You’re amazing and I think you doubt how wonderful you are – everyone adores you and you need to have more self belief. My heart goes out to you.

Patrick’s message wasn’t shown? Chrissie wonders what he means by ‘my heart goes out to you’ – she thinks it means you’re tragic. She thinks you say that when some one dies. Regina thinks it means “I love you”.

10:03pm – Patrick tells Daniel in the kitchen that he’s very good at being a have. He has the right balance of funnyness and keeping to the rules. They agree Vincent and Chrissie don’t quite get it yet. “You know the ropes”. In the lounge room Chrissie says this time next week that they would have just finished watching another evictee message.

1:13am – Daniel has noticed how quiet the house is now. He says there’s no young people in the house anymore (heh heh heh). He says he feels there is a lack of spontaneous energy in the house. All the housemates are around 29 and he thinks they might be old and boring. Dan gets a little loco every now and then, but doesn’t.

Day 64

A magpie has flown into the kitchen and can’t get out. It poos on the kitchen bench, and then seems to find it’s way out almost immediately.

10:06am – Jamie is washing up in the bathroom. Patrick and Regina have coffee and then toys with her about dunking the spoon in (during the task Regina was strict about how her coffee was made). Regina spots birdpoo – it’s everywhere, and Jamie just stepped in some.

12:18pm – Jamie and Vincent are still thinking about the haves-havenots task. Vincent says he was surprised how strongly he took things emotionally, especially the coffee. Over in the kitchen Regina comments its the first time those two boys have had “a good chin wag” together. Jamie is telling Vincent he likes to make a big deal out of nothing.

3:58pm – Chrissie is called to the diary room. Inside she finds a locked box with an envelope. She is to read out the letter in the bedroom. When the others see it Jamie says “not another gold box, I’m getting sick of these things”. Chrissie calls for them to go to the bedroom, while Jamie stresses out, since it is only 2 hours until eviction. The letter informs them that soon they will be playing a game of musical chairs which will determine their status in the next round of haves and havenots. Jamie yells “shiiiit” while Regina gets excited.

4:12pm – Housemates are called to the living room and the game soon begins. It is a tango-type music and they dance. When the music stops, everyone sits down and Regina seems frozen on the spot. She is the first one out – she has become a have-not and will pick two people to join her, meaning the following results of the musical chairs game have no effect on the task. When the music stops next Jaime and Vincent are left standing and Vincent offers the chair to Jamie, who says no but eventually takes it. However it doesn’t matter because he’s the next person eliminated, followed by Patrick. Daniel and Chrissie are the last two left and when the music stops, Chrissie is too far away to possibly win. Daniel sits down very slowly onto the chair and everyone laughs. Daniel is automatically a have. He opens the locked box like a magician while tooting his own magic show music. Chrissie acts as his assistant holding the box.

Daniel reads: the first person to leave the game is a havenot. The last person to remain in the game is a have. These two housemates are to stand seperately and pick teams. Everyone cheers.

Daniel picks Vincent
Regina picks Jamie
Daniel picks Chrissie
Patrick is last and joins Regina. This is his second week of being a havenot.

4:50pm – Patrick is in the diary room and asks Big Brother special permission to have a beer just incase he is evicted tonight. BB says there will be no alcohol. BB tells Patrick none of the luxury items bought last week can be used by the havenots, including coffee. Patrick groans.

Regina is getting ready and comments she has put on so much weight since entering the house.

Later in the kitchen Chrissie tells Daniel not to feel quity for not picking Patrick (after all, Chrissie was picked instead of him!). Daniel explains he had to pick Vincent or else he’d flip out big time. Patrick rejoins them and explains about the coffee. Chrissie is annoyed he can’t have any.

5:50pm – Jamie discusses Vincent’s reaction to this task with Chrissie and Regina. They all agree he had the biggest problem with the task yet he won’t admit it. Vincent has also been saying things about Regina that aren’t true: he claims she said she didn’t pick him as a have-not because he wouldn’t be able to cope. Jamie predicts if he doesn’t leave tonight it will be Vincent. They have no idea about Vincent now because he changed so much in the last week. Regina says it is getting much harder with fewer people, especially Mondays. Over half the house will be nominated next week.

8:05pm – It’s time to go… Jamie. He and Regina have a special hug before he leaves and he says he will be watching her. And then he is gone. Regina cries and everyone laughs that Regina cries at every eviction. Daniel comments they have lost a havenot.. so it’s just Patrick and Regina on their own.

9:04pm – Regina and Patrick are eating outside while the haves are in the kitchen. Chrissie says she is going to go request from Big Brother tomorrow that Patrick be allowed some instant coffee. On the staples list it says “sugar for coffee and tea”, but Chrissie reminds them that there is no coffee at all. She feels her request is reasonable. Meanwhile Patrick is reminded the coffee machine might be back, but Regina thinks it will be a different surprise. Regina has found today to be a very weird day. Vincent tells the other haves to join the havenots. Patrick jokes that he is Daniel’s waiter, and welcomes him back for service. Regina asks the haves if they want a hot drink. Dan says he wants a hot chocolate mousse. She jokes “bugger you Dan! Fuck you!”. They swear at each other as Regina runs into the kitchen giggling. Dan says it’s funny how much Regina loves the play-fighting.

When Regina returns she pretends to spit into the mousse and says “I thought you might like some extra topping”. Daniel calls her something rude, which is bleeped out and Regina cracks up laughing again “I hope you choke on it! Choke!”.

11:32pm – Big Brother calls Patrick and Regina to bed. The lights will be off in 5 minutes. Regina can’t wait to get into her new bed and tells Chrissie to have a nice sleep in.

Day 63

9:39am – Regina and Patrick work out shower arrangements. Now that there are again six people using the shower Patrick doesn’t want to go nude – they keep walking in. Patrick jokes that they don’t give him 10 minutes… everyone walks in because they want to see. Jamie is now up with a bad case of bed hair. Regina continues to offer plans to shower with Patrick but he already knows what the waking-up order is of the other housemates, and who will be walking in on him and when: “it’s impossible now”. Patrick says he will have a nude shower on Sunday anyway. It will be cool to go on stage and talk to Gretel – he is ready to go now.

Jamie walks outside in his underpants and his case of bed hair. Regina and Patrick spot him from the kitchen and crack up laughing. Patrick says “that was attractive wasn’t it?”. They say they should lend him some boxer shorts.

4:58pm – There is a food problem – Patrick reports there is only one jar of curry and they have no chicken. Regina suggests sausages. They organise that Chrissie will make apple crumble (if she wants to, of course). Chrissie at this moment is in the bedroom reading, and Patrick reports the situation to her. She says to get Reggie to make curried sausages. Patrick proposes his plan: he make potatoes and Chrissie make apple crumble. She says yes but doesn’t seem very enthusiastic. Once Patrick leaves the other housemates in the bedroom wonder why they can’t have curried sausages. Chrissie says that contesting Patrick is useless, but is annoyed the sausages will probably go to waste now.

Chrissie talks dinner with Regina, who wants to do curried sausages too, but no one wants to annoy Patrick. Chrissie is annoyed right now, but Reggie says “let it be”.

7:16pm – Housemates are having vegetable curry, prepared by Patrick. They all agree it tastes great. Daniel says it’s possibly some one’s last dinner here.

7:30pm – Daniel is seeing Big Brother about his personal task. BB is still reviewing the tapes. Daniel doesn’t care about a reward – he says it was fun making it and would like to just watch the performance. Afterwards he returns to the kitchen and reports the performance will be screened in 30 minutes. All the others say “thats weird!” and nudge Daniel that it was a task.

8:02pm – The housemates are watching themselves in the “cookie cutter sky” performance. They all laugh and get embarrassed. Regina and Chrissie can’t stop laughing. Regina’s dance actions are the biggest attraction. They all thank Big Brother for showing the video. Talk then turns to the cameras and seeing themselves on TV. Jamie comments there were some extreme closeups there, and everyone agrees in hesitation. Chrissie says her facial expressions didn’t look like she cared but it was exactly the opposite.

11:25pm – The boys are having a “night out” in the spa. Later on they are a little drunk and Vincent toasts to the other boys in the house, saying it was a privilege to share the same space as them.

In the bedroom the two remaining girls reflect on the house: Chrissie says you can really feel its nearly the end. Not the tension so much but you can feel things are shifting. Tomorrow will be the beginning of week 10.

Day 62

8:13am – Regina is up to find the expresso machine is missing from the kitchen. Patrick is getting out of bed to hear Big Brother announce that the task is over and the hot water is now on. Chrissie gasps. Vincent says “thankyou god!”, Chrissie realises they can now have coffee and gets very excited “thank jesus!”. Vincent runs into the bedroom to his usual bed while Jamie welcomes “the poor” back. Vincent is happy until he learns the expresso machine is gone, and then groans “ooh Big Brotherrr” so he settles for a hot shower instead.

Chrissie and Patrick however are more interested in having some (instant) coffee. Patrick announces he will go and have his coffee alone, so no one disturb him for the next 10 minutes. Later, Chrissie tells Regina she couldn’t deal with the tension of the task – everyone is happy now that the task is over. Regina notes it was interesting to see different sides of people emerge. Chrissie especially was interested that Vincent’s reaction was “they’re better than us”. They discuss his apparent superiority complex.

Meanwhile Vincent is telling Jamie that the task didn’t bother him at all, but he took the opportunity to watch different people’s reactions. Jamie was trying not to make it feel like there was a divide. Vincent says he felt segregation, badly. However Jamie says he didn’t mix so much because he felt like he was rubbing it in their faces. In a different group, discussion turns to the coffee grinding incident and Chrissie explains Regina got annoyed that it was taking so long.

In the kitchen Jamie relays his conversation with Vincent to Regina. They both agree Vincent acted different during the task and then flat out denies it.

1:19pm – Housemates must sort and count hundreds (possibly thousands) of M&Ms without eating any of them, while Big Brother is doing work on the bedrooms. They have layered the chocolates out on the kitchen table and get to work. They assign themselves a colour.

1:43pm – The counting continues. The housemates must also find 6 of the peanut M&Ms as “treasure” and count them separately. Vincent finds one and displays it to everyone else.

Later, Chrissie says it will be amazing when there are only 5 chocolates left in the middle to count.

2:50pm – Counting continues. Regina tells the others “nearly there, chin up”.

3:00pm – BB announces the bedrooms are open. The have nots are moving their things back into the main bedroom, and find BB has added their mattresses and clean towels. Jamie is left alone to count M&Ms in the kitchen. He says to himself he can’t be bothered anymore, and starts cursing the brown M&Ms (his assigned colour).

4:10pm – The counting continues. Patrick is down to the very last red M&Ms.

4:36pm – Vincent reports they have 20 933 M&Ms. They have used some of the M&Ms to devise an abacus which aids in the counting.

4:51pm – Housemates are gathered in the diary room to learn the results of the task. BB says they have been successful in finding the peanut M&Ms, and the prize for that part is they can keep the M&Ms. They all gasp and get excited, especially Regina. BB asks for the total, which is now 20 936. Patrick has a box with the correct number in the box. It is 20 510. They all wonder how they were out by 400. BB announces they have obviously failed the mini task. The HMs thanks Big Brother for the M&Ms anyway.

Later in the night, Daniel is working on his personal dilemma task – to perform and write a song with Patrick. It’s only an hour until their performance so they are rehearsing.
