I may be in the minority but I'm kind of enjoying watching Julia play. Sure, she's not subtle about playing both sides and that makes her a target - but I'm interested to see how it all plays out. If she can pull it off it could be pretty cool. I liked her calm and unruffled manner in the immunity challenge.

Well, I am devastated Debbie's gone. It really is a painful series to watch, but Debbie made it bearable and enjoyable for me (sob). I hope she comes back in another series, soon.
Poor Tai - but poor me, more so! I think he will stick with that pair of pricks, and it probably is a good idea for him to do that, but I wish the two of them would get blindsided this week. Maybe a medivac for one and a blindside for the other. Not that I am keen on Julia, Michelle, or Cydney, or even Audra after that ridiculous move. So that leaves Tai, Joe, and Mark the chicken.

I absolutely don't want Tai to win. His aligning with the two thugs doesn't seem very Zen to me, more suck up to the bullies so they pick on everyone other than me.
I could get behind a Cydney win, she's done nothing to annoy me so far. Neither has Michelle, but the problem is she's done nothing at all. Maybe the big move is coming, like Julia's misjudged attempt at it this week.

OK, paradoxical night for the To Tang / Tai Trang alliance.
Tai makes his big (lack of a ) move and Jason gets screwed over and loses both his closest ally and his idol.
But now, Tai is in a terrible position. He has an idol and an advantage, sure. But both Dan Foley and Stephen Fishbach went home the night they used an advantage. Also, the Second Chance advantage, which filmed right after this one, was altered, which I doubt they would have done if this one plays out successfully. Tai has a target, has lost at least 2 jury votes, which doesn't matter because no one would take him to the end, anyway. And he is now aligned with the two people seemingly best able to challenge him in the challenges he is good at, where he could typically beat Scot and usually beat Jason on the type of endurance tasks they have at the end.
Jason, though, is looking great. He went from leader of an alliance to the game's biggest goat. He has no idol, no allies, is hated by everyone - why wouldn't you drag him to the end? If you sit beside Aubry, Sydney or Tai, you lose. Why would Beauty want to take them? Joe is probably the only person who can't beat Jason, in their minds. But actually, he has Nick and Scot's vote already, so who knows.
I'm really enjoying Aubry, but don't see her making it to the end. Although, the way they have toned down the explosive aspect of the challenges, possible because of Beast Mode beast moding his way out of the game, means she has a legit chance of an immunity run once Tai and Sydney go.
This season is great fun to watch - I'm certainly enjoying it more than Cambodia.

And in the preview for next ep, Julia wants the chook dead?
Joe is a goat, Jason is a goat, the other chick (can't remember her name) is a goat, so it's Tai (idol/advantage) Aubry and Cydney (who both have the same ego's as the brawns they depised) and Julia who runs through the waves.
Enjoying this season immensely.

So glad Scot is gone, but this season is still a hot mess.
I don't feel that Tai redeemed himself enough to compensate for his dubious gameplay.
Aubry or Cydney are the only possible winners I could get behind.
Is Joe even there? Maybe he should win simply for being a purple Kelly.

Interesting episode tonight with Tai being pulled in two directions!
Those guys were so arrogant at the tribal council! But Scot was actually a good sport about not getting the idol from Tai, particularly as it seemed like he probably would have saved Tai if the roles were reversed? I know it was mentioned in this episode that he and Jason would be interested in getting Tai out later, but I think they would probably have saved him this episode if it came down to it.
Preview for next episode - I can at least see why Jason might be disgruntled at Tai but er, it's ridiculous for Julia to want in on vengeful behaviour, she wrote Tai's name down and was the one who wanted to flush out his idol! If they kill the chicken, she becomes an even bigger villain than Jason.

Saw a reader's comment on the EW recap.
Have to confess that one didn't even occur to me, with the key focus being all about the "will he... won't he?" drama of Tai jumping ship. As it turns out, regardless of who he wants to align with in the game, good thing he didn't hand his idol over, indeed!Didn't Scott and Jason understand that if Tai had handed over his idol he'd have been committing Survivor suicide? With a 2-2 tie on the remaining votes, Tai loses 4-2 on the re-vote.

Why would he hand his idol when he voted for Scot already. Oh, that was so good!

It seems that it hadn't sunk in for Jason and Scot at the tribal council that Tai voted for Scot, hence why they were looking at him expectantly. But I'm sure Scot figured it out later and that's why he congratulated the blindside. In retrospect it should be obvious with the 4-2-2 vote (only 2 votes for Aubrey, and Tai wouldn't have voted for himself, so of course he must have voted Scot), but I wasn't really counting the votes while I was watching the show, and it's quite possible the guys were so confident with the Super Idol that they weren't paying attention to the number of votes, either.

On a side note, I just got called a fucking asshole by a telemarketer when I asked what company they were from. I get you don't like your job, but really??

Team LaPags!
Scot comparing himself to Russell Hantz! He wishes! Russell was actually an entertaining villain, not just a total asswipe.
I really love the fact that Scot left with Jason's idol, that's karma for being so damn cocky. No only did his over confidence screw his own game....it screwed Jason's too. Jason's only going to the end as a goat now.
Taking out a grudge against Tai on Mark the Chicken could be a game losing move. If he is on the jury Tai will vote on behalf of Mark, trust.
Is Aubry getting a winning edit? She seems to be making a lot of the covert social moves that are effecting the results of the votes and thus, the game.

Love that Scot is gone!
Yeah, I think you are right about Aubry. Jeff is talking her up. She is getting the most footage, bar the ones who clearly wont win (Jason, Julia, probably Tai). Scot has been the only one to see her as a threat so far so she could coast through a few more tribals

Best post!
I am ECSTATIC that Scot is gone. What is it they say? Pride comes before a fall... well Scot not only fell but his ass tumbled into a ravine! I was absolutely fist pumping and screaming WOO HOOOOO when Tai didn't use his idol. God knows what my neighbours are thinking haha.
Julie is so friggin stupid. There's another one thinking she's on a winning streak and all that. She's gonna take a big tumble too. I was getting so frustrated with this season and the cockiness of the boys.... and whilst that is part of the game and great viewing... watching Tai step up tonight made me think oh yes.. this game is ON!
Love it!!!
