BBUS 26 - starts 17 July

Filler episode isn’t terrible but I think it would have been better in a BBUK spinoff style format with an audience. Could still have the clips but have it feel more like a discussion/opinion show.
I found it to be such a waste of time. I could not think of any 3 winners I’d want to hear less from. They’ve literally just taken the two most recent winners and the most recent all star winner. None of which had much of anything substantial to say at all.

I also like the AI comp, and I would like for it to stay. Simply due to the fact that I hate how in most weeks the decision is final once the veto competition has a winner. At least this does open the door for chaos and can squash plans. And the benefit is that as the numbers decrease it becomes harder to hack it.

I am also worried that Tucker’s strategy will not end well. I hope he gets this AI instigator thing. I’m pleased there’s another public vote based twist. This season is offering so much that I want. But what I want more then ever is for the Pentagon alliance to be pagonged. Based on feeds updates that I’ve read it seems the possibility of Cedric going could be a reality.

Given how much the BB Twitter love Angela and Tucker if there’s anyway to give them an advantage they’ll be all over it.

What’s the talk about Cedric?

So the twist announcement was that the twist would be announced on Thursday?

Does seem a bit odd to do a clip show this early but guess it was for those who tuned out during the Olympics. I think this may be another BB6 - some will love it, others absolutely hate it. I'm in the latter group. I say group, I might be the only one in that group but it's just not working for me - mainly as the two houseguests others seem to enjoy watching I absolutely cannot stand and cannot stand to watch.

As for the AI Arena - I don't really think it works as what's the point in doing more "equitable" comps if come eviction night the comp beast gets to save themselves anyway. What does work though is the nominees not being locked in until eviction night. I've long thought any country using a hybrid format should have three nominees on the block and the viewers save one before the houseguests vote one out - or that like America's Veto should the Veto be used viewers get to put someone up so they really don't know what will be the scenario on eviction night. Agree though it shouldn't be the HoH nominating all three and a bit like Battle of the Block not sure if there really need to be both a Veto and another safety comp in each cycle. I do think the Veto is long due an overhaul - it evolved each year in it's early days but has now basically been the same since BB6. I'd return to the players actually picking who plays - but with the catch that only those who play can be named as replacements.

The point of more equitable comps isn’t necessarily to prevent comp beasts but to level the playing field so that it’s not just the jock types calling the shots. Tucker’s current dominance is more circumstantial than anything.

As for the twist continuing like POV it’s a learning experience we saw several variations before they settled on something that while it could still be manipulated there was still a chance it would have an impact. As for redundancy I’m really not bothered by it especially if they strive to keep things unpredictable. Preventing another Tucker from emerging should be motivation to make tweaks.

Seems Kimo is trying to drum up support for evicting Cedric however it seems unlikely as those that would benefit the most are too chicken shit to pull the trigger.

He’s definitely trying and 100% correct. That said ideally they should join team chaos and start targeting the remainder of the mass alliance.

If they’re at the bottom of the alliance now your standing may improve but not dramatically that you aren’t disposable. They stand a much better chance fighting it out with the misfits than they do against a group that will have a pecking order. Especially with equitable comps.

How is it that everything I want to happen, happens? This cannot be written. THIS SEASON IS NOT REAL!

TUCKER WON THE WALL! I REPEAT THAT THIS SEASON IS NOT REAL

I hope the nerd herd is completely made rid of before jury. I also hope they keep last year’s jury format with it beginning at 9 instead of 11. As I said last year, 11th and 10th place are too far disconnected from the end game to justify being jurors.

The Wall again? Not surprised but always found it amongst the least watchable of the "endurance" comps, mainly as it is so overused but also the ones they used to do before The Wall were introduced were more varied and interesting.

Nerd Herd starting with Quinn have to go, based on her reaction last night I’d go for Brooklyn next.

Props to Kimo for having the smarts to not only realize they needed to seize the opportunity to get rid of Cedric but that abandoning their alliance to make a big move would improve his standing in the game.

Hopefully this season can maintain this momentum going in to the endgame and that it serves as a model moving forward.
