BBUS 26 - starts 17 July

Watched the last couple of episodes having missed two weeks and the recap still goes back to what I've seen already!

God, Tucker is a twat - what a knobhead. Appreciate the chaos but find this cast completely unlikeable. Otherwise though production clearly stepped it up though secret powers should be nullified if they don't remain secret.

Yeah I hate that they were pretty much made public right from the start. If it was mandatory to keep it secret then they’d have way more of an impact. But we also probably wouldn’t have gotten such an entertaining couple of episodes if that were the case.

I wonder what the twist will be that Julie teased at the end of the eviction show? Whatever it is, Tucker must be saved at all costs!

I agree. Getting rid of Quinn was easily the best move not only for breaking up an alliance but he’s also the most insulated player within the alliances he has. His group are a bunch of idiots for believing they’re somehow better off with him still in the game.

Disagree about Tucker… He seems to be the only one who understands how this game is meant to be played.

As for the powers being kept secret in this case it was the best case scenario as they easily would have gone unplayed had they not been revealed.

As for this group being unlikable, I think the unlikable group are the ones playing it safe. IDK looking back at the classic seasons we didn’t always have the most “likeable” casts but we kept watching because of the gameplay.

Can’t stand Brooklyn. She already rubbed me the wrong way last week when she was thanking Quinn for finally revealing info that he told Angela about week 1 and scheming that with it being out of the bag the group could use it to their advantage and tonight finally pushed me over the edge.

She’s such a modern BB player, encouraging group think, safe targets, “we have the numbers” BS, meanwhile being completely oblivious to the fact that she’s low level minion in her alliance, and will probably leave butthurt because she thought she was such a pivotal alliance member 🙄.

Chelsie too.

Yeah so agree. I really hope Cedric goes this week and that alliance crumbles. I need this chaotic energy to continue. Tucker HoH please for week 5.

Would love that but unless he somehow falls off the rails it’s a pipe dream. If Rubina is in fact the replacement she’s 100% the target due to her proximity to Tucker.

I don’t think she’s really that pivotal that her loss would be felt and she’s generally still on the side of the majority her staying would be yet another major blowup for the nerd herders.

Makensy going also isn’t ideal as she’s a likely floater and at least has a comp win with potential to keep the chaos momentum building if she can score another down the road. Going on the block two weeks in a row should be motivation enough not to be a pawn for the nerd heard.

That said losing her might sway Leah to side with team chaos over playing with the mainstream as she has been. I am however disappointed with her low profile so far.

So seeing a bit of talk on Twitter hoping that three nominees and the AI Arena make a comeback/become a permanent addition to the format.

I do think however if it does come back they need to treat it like early POV and expand/develop the concept a bit.

Like perhaps having someone other than the HoH nominate the third nominee, maybe something similar to the MVP power or making the veto replacement Americas Choice while the Arena is still in play.

I think out of all the twists over the years this has been one of/if not the best since the veto was introduced and if the goal is to make the week less predictable there’s room for it to be expanded and built upon moving forward. Tucker’s strategy of volunteering as a pawn is definitely something I can see being exploited if production aren’t thinking two steps ahead.

Filler episode isn’t terrible but I think it would have been better in a BBUK spinoff style format with an audience. Could still have the clips but have it feel more like a discussion/opinion show.
