BBUS 26 - starts 17 July

Is the four seasons they've gone since All Stars the longest period without any returning players (unless I'm forgetting someone) since the first six series?

Yep. the last longest stretch was 3 years between BB15-17. I feel like they have a decent sized pool for a Returnee season now. And there’s still room for some other pre-BB22 as well IMO

I do think it's too soon for a full on All Stars (BB30 might be the time for that) and not sure there is too much demand for that. Agree with Kingston though hybrid seasons rarely work as the vets take control.

IDK BB22 being universally hated as it was is both a blessing and a curse. If they did it they’d really have to make sure the deck was stacked full of returning players we actually want to see and a good mix of old school and modern players. There had been talk of an all winners or “legends” season that has been relatively well received.

I guess though doing that for BB27 would feel a bit random but it being it's 25th anniversary next year might put it on the cards. Can't see them getting 16 winners though.

I think it all hinges on what they’re willing to pay for appearances.

The way BB26 has reset itself multiple times in the last 7 weeks 👌🏻. T’Kor saying she’s done with Quinn post nominations gives me hope there’s still some potential left for the remainder of this season.

I was worried once Tucker was evicted, but I think there’s still more dynamic game to occur and flips to happen. Quinn winning HoH made me throw up a little bit though. I really thought I’d be rooting for him but he absolutely drives me insane in the DR. STOP YELLING! That’s the last time I root for a fellow curly haired nerdy guy.

Leah is an icon for saving Angela and saving the season. Fuck Quinn and this is what he gets for simping over her to an embarrassing degree. I hope he goes next week, with his fellow pentagon members to follow.

I thought for sure that this week would be a week where everyone fell in line behind Quinn… As much as I’m happy they didn’t I’m not exactly thrilled with who’s on the block post POV. I could stand to see Joseph leave but losing Kimo or Rubina would be a major blow.

I don’t want to lose Rubina or Kimo either, and Joseph isn’t exactly someone I’d prefer to lose at this stage, but with Quinn in power I was never going to be happy with the result. For me, ideally Joseph leaves. I hope to god Kimo, T’Kor and/or Rubina can win HoH and send Quinn home next week. I’d love for Quinn to go with Angela being the one to do it, but I doubt she’ll actually win a competition again. But oh how glorious that would be.

Eviction interview proved the right person went this week.

Ainsley’s big “game changing” announcement was pretty underwhelming especially considering Julie essentially spoiled it by revealing tonight’s evicted HG was the final pre-jury evictee.

Also wow @ the live audience cheering and showing actual excitement just goes to show how impressive this season has been.

I am a bit bummed the AI Arena twist has ended but provided it doesn’t cause a fundamental shift in the house dynamics this will likely be the first full season I’ve watched in at least 15 years.

I've never felt the Veto being used weekly was actually a good thing but with three nominees each week that was always an increased likelihood. What's probably made it work is a couple of people just using it quite randomly rather than seemingly logically. What they should do is switch the Veto meeting to being live on the show for the last few weeks to keep that unpredictability going.

Just a shame they cast such a horrid woman who dominated week one and put viewers like me off completely - despite the praise from genuine fans I've no interest in watching it knowing she is still there and likely getting to the end too.

I think what makes this season different in terms of the veto being used is that it’s being used in furtherance of someone’s individual game rather than consensus. Also with the AI Arena in play the power it and the HoH have is significantly reduced.

As for it playing out live I don’t think it makes that much of a difference in a traditional season. CBB or any other type of condensed special definitely but otherwise it doesn’t really make sense.
