Tim Dormer back in the House

Tim going in and the couples being broken up this quick reeks of BB08 desperation. Remember Corey Worthington? And the nominations/evictions rules got changed (twice was it?).
It breaks my heart to see the desperation as I've watched BB since BB01 but there is definitely something wrong with this year's cast. You have antagonists like Priya, David and Gemma but then you have 13 bland cool kids.
I honestly think Tim's stint is going to fall flat. You can't get a rise out of bored mentally exhausted people it's just not possible, the housemates ARE already mentally exhausted and flat - same as the housemates in BB08 who early in the piece complained of being lab rats.
This show has tried to make them all turn on each other early in the piece and it's not been pleasant to watch. The housemates are bored and exhausted, and so are the audience. If Tim is going in to try and create drama I think it'll cause the housemates even more grief and kill their spirits more.
I believe that the couples DO need to be split up, pronto, and they need to go back to being singular housemates, but sending Tim in this early is desperation, and as I said, I honestly feel the stunt will fall flat as you can't get bored dispirited people to be exciting, no matter how much 'Tim' energy you have.

I personally cant wait till the intruders go in, and count how many times turnip Travis says "but but never forget we are the originals, we were here first"
If they put intruders in they need to put people in who would bond with the likes of Priya, David, Cat etc. I feel like these housemates have so much potential but because they decided to put a lot of younger, immature people in the house, we are not seeing the best of them.

So he's out already :(

What stunt will they pull next week to try and make the Sunday party interesting?

He might not be. They might just be letting/making him promote the ad. Nothing would really surprise me with this lot anymore as they seem pretty desperate for hype.

The fact that he dropped the news here first a few hours before the ad aired last night, rather than on Twitter, makes it seem like he's pretty comfortable here so I think we'll know soon enough if he's out already if he appears back here or starts replying to people on Twitter.

:)))))))))))))))))))) Timmy!!!!

Fair enough but if you've seen a movie in a cinema in the past say 25-30 years at a minimum and paid your $ to get into that movie then the end user wins because that process is the same whether it's indie film or a big studio one.

Putting @Timdormer in the house as a HM, especially this early on, is a full on stunt. BUT... as a fan of BB and lately more a fan of BBB than the show itself, this is the one chance I and many others have to have someone go in to that house and say what we've all been saying this season about various HMs. How many times have people on here said they wished they could go into the house for even one hour to tell certain people what they're thinking? Now there's someone going in who doesn't do what he's told, has read the feedback on here about various HMs and has no qualms about opening his mouth and saying it. If this season so far is indicative of what Ch 9 is going to serve up then I am ecstatic that at least "we" finally have our say. If he goes in there and is a flop then I'll be straight back in here bagging him out but I don't expect any other channel to come save BB or make it like how it used to be. It died for a reason.

If @Timdormer is allowed to stay for longer than a few days or so and actually becomes a HM again, it's going to be pretty awkward. (And he'll probably be evicted pretty early, like Russell Hantz on Survivor.) I would've liked to have seen Corey stay in 08, see just how long his fame would've supported him.

This entire season has been stunts.

And we're at day 13 of 80.

Do they actually know what they're doing next week? I really don't think so.

They're going to burn out of stunts so fast. And then what happens?

Stunts? What stunts? Watching the Daily Show, I haven't seen enough stunts. Good grief, in the first two years on Nine, Big Brother was always doing stuff to the HMs (like Ed's day of firsts, Tim's dilemma, and who could forget Surly?). But now, it's mostly gossip and soap opera stuff. It's a wonder Victor Newman hasn't dropped in yet from Genoa City.

But yeah, the "$20,000 and no food" thing didn't go over too well, and we didn't even get full coverage of this "Perfect Pair" luxury comp. Nine just needs to sell this format back to Ten, put a decent quiz on at 7:00 and be done with it.

Really? Rohan?? Not exactly reaching for the stars with that choice. O_O

Ben from Brisbane would be too obvious a choice.

Difference is though on Survivor the contestants choose who goes home whereas with BB the public does. Tim has a very large fanbase so even if he were nominated I couldn't imagine he'd go before most of the HMs in there now. Especially if his close buddies Jade and Tully threw their support behind him because they have big fanbases too. Hell even Xavier replied to Rohan's Tweet "hahaha not bad. They are giving people what they want, someone entertaining" and I'm not sure Tim and Xavier have even chatted since their official BB duties ended. I reckon if Tim didn't win he'd be in the final at least.

But I don't think even Alex would be so stupid as to put a former winner back into the house to try to win again. Even I'd call unfair to that considering these HMs are generating next to no buzz as it is so how would they expect to win against Tim? On the Radar right now the highest HM is Ryan with 3 mentions an hour and 7 HMs with 0 lol meanwhile Tim's mentions on Twitter are still blowing up from last night.

Doesn't Tim going back in mean that he's effectively working for channel 9, and this thread is just free advertising (rather because we're all mates)?

I'm imagining he went in just as a dinner guest, in and out like Bert, rather than as a new housemate (or a guest housemate for a couple of days).

To me, this is hitting the nail right on the head. It is on too late.
I think if it contained more mature content it wouldnt be so bad but BB supposedly has to kept it PG now, for when it goes to the 7.30pm time slot when The Block finishes

I heard that he really upset Gemma at the auditions last year so that would be an interesting dynamic. She's already proved she's volatile with the pillow punching meltdown.
Tim and Gemma did tweet each other several months ago, and it seemed they are ok with each other....

I still think Tim went in to maybe MC the grand finale game, announce 'The Ultimate Pair' winner and $30k, and tell them it will be singles after the eviction plus join the Friday night party. Tim did say he was going into the house to party.
They nominate straight after evictions on Tuesday night, so maybe BB wants the HM's to know they will be singles ahead of time?

I think BB will have to make an official announcement to the public that Jake is Tim's flatmate ( maybe a voice-over from Mike). I don't know if Tim and Jake will let on, it could put a target on Jake's back for noms, or make him cooler to the other HM's?
