The Tallulah Thread Part 2

How? It's only one letter different, it's still easy to know how it should be pronounced, and it's not full of silent h's and x's and y's. And I don't think it's too girly for a boy either.
It sounds surfer-esque, sure. But I wouldn't be baffled at a boy/man called Sunny, by any means.

Facebook update today - and luckily I know this person wont be looking in here LOL - grand daughter born and named McKailia.

There's a young actress who was in "The Hunger Games" called Amandla.

I saw her in the credits, and thought "Gosh, that's bad form to have a typo in the credits!", but have since seen a pic of her with a caption, and it has the same spelling.

Some amusing comments from that page:

My youngest sons name is Memphis Raines I get compliments about his name all the time. It's an uncommon and unique boys name but there is another Memphis that goes to his dentist
Oh no! Another Memphis goes to the same dentist!!!!! He's not youneek anymore!!! Plus, Memphis Raines sounds like an air freshener scent. Or a feminine hygiene spray. lol.

Hello there, my sons name is Kaiden, people are always remarking at what a nice unusual boys name it is.

Anything ending in the "ayden" sound is the opposite of unusual. Just so you know. :)
(And if it's said Ky-den, the comment still stands)

I like Jameson... for either a boy or girl.

I like it too, with ginger ale and ice.

I babysat a Kale like 16 years ago in semi rural WA so not that uncommon !

PS so many kiddies with bad, bad names. They are people not cabbage patch kids.

RE Kale, well there you go, I've never heard of it as a name, still have to wonder with all the names out there why anyone would choose a child's name that is also the name of a cabbage lol, maybe they didn't know.

I guess there wouldn't be a shortage of names for other children if they wanted a vegie garden..zuchini, brussell sprouts, endive, broccoli...lol. I always think people who use those kinds of names are fairly obvious attention seekers. I'd rather see a kids stand out from his/her own merit than from a stupid names given to them by their parents. I noticed in the comments in that website Melly mentioned that they mention the name Blaise. I always thought that was a horses name. My sons girlfriend has a weirdly spelled name. She hates it with a passion and spells it the normal way. She only uses the odd spelling on official documents and is seriously thinking about changing to normal spelling
it by deed poll.

Kale is a fairly common boys name.
I've taught plenty of them, all nice boys.

Never heard of a cabbage called kale tho.

They probably were all nice boys Wally, having a different name doesn't make someone not nice, they didn't choose it.
