The Tallulah Thread Part 2

am writing a monolouge about dodgy baby names, I just need a couple more.

I remember in the old thread, we were discussing names with as many silent letters as we could, can any one remember what it was?

Not exactly silent letters but the worst name I have ever, ever seen is La-a. Pronounced LaDashA. That is just too woeful.

Bailleah.

A baby girl on facebook. No idea whether you say it Bay-lee or Bay-lee-ah, but it's confusing as all hell to look at.

Has Le-a actually been confirmed as a real occurrence now, I thought it was just an urban legend name?

haha yes, "ledasha" Tallulah does the Hula, and No 16 bus shelter are all in there. thanks guys :)

how would you people say the name "Lea"

to me that is just plain old Lee. i knew an old lady named lea and im sure that is how you say it.

but my bf rekons it is "leah" im like noooooo. if you want to name your kid Leah, then it should be like that or MAYBE Lia, but Lea is just lee.

I'd say it lee like meadow lea lol. But I know some people go lee-ah with it. If I had a baby and wanted it to be the latter I'd spell it Leah though.

Agree.

If I wanted Lee, I'd spell it like that.
If I wanted Lee-ah, I'd call her Leah.

Lea could be either, so would just confuse everyone.

My name is Leah and when people pronounce it Lee, I want to punch them in the face. I cannot understand how they think it is Lee.

Leah, Lija, Leia, Lia, Lea, Leigha (I've done this before just a demo of the random spellings)

My nan was Leah too, pronounced like yours, & that was almost 100 years ago.

I would pronounce it Leah, though I agree it's less confusing with the H.

I used to work with someone who's middle name was Lea. She pronounced it Lee. And Meadow Lea is pronounced Lee too. I'd say it was pronounced Lee if it didn't have the H on the end.

and the lea from Meadow Lea is a real word, pronoucned as Lee

noun
1. a tract of open ground, especially grassland; meadow.
2. land used for a few years for pasture or for growing hay, then plowed over and replaced by another crop.
3. a crop of hay on tillable land.

um I said meadow lea ages ago. meadow lea the brand name is silly, as you can see its basically meadow meadow.

Like when people say ATM machine, oh you just said automatic teller machine machine hor hor hor
