The Fitbit Cult

I've been doing a lot more running lately. I feel a lot more comfortable running in the dark at night. And I've been doing what @jessy_girl suggested with the interval training. I've noticed that I can run further and further everyday.... and do you know what? I'm actually enjoying being out in the cold running around.... Crazy, such a dramatic change from this time last year.

I can identify with that Inigo, the enjoyment, though I'm up to a fast walk, not running.
I've maintained my 10.000 steps every day since I got it, and I look forward to the walk now, it gives me a chance to clear my head.

Hey well done. What a funny alternative universe where I'm giving you tips for a healthier life, but I'm glad I was able to help. Seriously once you start running it's never as bad or as daunting as you think it's going to be, especially when you're realistic about your goals and abilities.

I am considering a jog myself tomorrow morning, the cold dark mornings are rough though...

Something is surely amiss with my fitbit. Despite being so far quite sedentary today it says I've taken nearly 7000 steps which is completely inaccurate. It also says I slept for nearly 8 hours last night which is more within the realms of possibility but based on every other night of my life extremely unlikely.

I have gained 4kg's since my knee surgery, and I feel like a big fat Pog. My clothes are tight and I hate it!!!

I had to cancel my gym membership and since then my activity level has declined dramatically.

Today I am dusting off my Fitbit and I am rejoining the fight on flubber!!!

How are my flubber friends @bleachy_dude @Meglos? Are the steps working?

What is it with knees and getting older? Mine is not nice but manageable. Hope your knee's getting better and you get back into the exercise without too many problems.

Great that you're getting back into it now, it sucks having an injury and sometimes exercise is the last thing you want to do.

I gave up my gym membership when I realised how much I enjoyed walking. I actually love it now. Best way to beat the flubber!

That's the sad thing, my knee is back to bendy. My motivation is the thing I struggle with. I begrudgingly take my dogs on 2x 15 minute walks daily, and that's it! To make matters worse, I have taken to snacking on chips and chocolate after dinner.

I just need to stop making excuses and make the changes.[DOUBLEPOST=1446069932][/DOUBLEPOST]

Well it's great you have the dogs, I'd probably go for walkies a bit more if I did, but the cats won't go.

I can't do the walking speed I'd like and distance, while good, can get a bit sore after a while. Uphill is fine, downhill is a disaster. Motivation too is an issue. Once out of the mojo of exercising, it's so easy to stay there. You'll get there...eventually, as will we all.

I lost the pesky little dongle thingy when packing up my stuff, however I bought a new one on eBay and have recently dusted my Fitbit off too. It really does make a difference for me, just as far as daily steps go anyway. Not sure about this like exercise and nutrition, I'm getting better with the former though. Not so much the latter.

The thing that interests me especially is tracking my sleep but unlike forcing myself to take some more steps I'm yet to really implement changes that successfully improve my sleep. But nothing new there.

I stopped wearing it cause I missed by Nixon watch. I need to start again.

I never wear mine on my wrist. Well that's a lie as I'm wearing it on my wrist now and I also wear it to bed, but most of the time it's in my pocket. And I may or may not have taped it to my body when there's no pocket available. I find it more accurate on my hip anyway actually.

Mine goes in my pocket, I found it really uncomfortable on my wrist. I don't always remember to take it though.

I might get one if I get money for Christmas/birthday. Are they a watch as well? as both wrists are occupied with a watch and some Pandoras. I do have a Polar heart rate monitor watch which I use purely as a watch. No idea where the part that goes around my upper torso is anyway.
