The Fitbit Cult

My niece turned 8 about a month ago and apparently the only thing she washed was a Fitbit so she got one, the HR one maybe? It's so weird to me seeing a kid excited about it, I guess it's good?

Probably not a bad thing. My 11yo nephew desperately wants one. The things is, it's too expensive and he is too careless. He lost his iPhone 5 after a couple of weeks!

I guess there is such an emphasis on health these days which was barely around when I was a kid, I can't imagine having been interested at that age, but then again I wouldn't have thought it would interest me at my current age and here I am. Anything that gets kids excited or interested in their health is good though.

Haha oops re: the iPhone. Poor kid, well poor kid for having to tell his parents more likely.

I think the the gimmick and the tech for him more than the health.

Yes better to be healthy than having yummy yummy food.

This same little girl once told me that McDonald's was gross and when we were at a baby shower once she ate all the token carrot sticks despite having access to cakes and lollies and the like which she didn't touch.

Oh but she did tell my mum that it was ok to give her a bowl of butter and sugar for afternoon tea because I always let her, so she has some taste. No need to drag me down with her though. I have never fed her such s thing but it's a believable story as I do like that food combo.

Anyway...[DOUBLEPOST=1446560121][/DOUBLEPOST]

Yeah I'd say so. Probably what lured me in!

@jessy_girl OMG butter and sugar! I'd forgotten about that but me and my brother used to make that all the time in our pre-teens, that and Milo sandwiches, sometimes with cream.

Lol yes it was my favourite snack as a kid, it still holds up as an adult I must say. I also made milo sandwiches too! They really actually weren't that good, not sure why I kept going back.

I don't have a formula, it really just depends on your desired texture. You need a decent amount of sugar though, otherwise it's just gritty butter.
I must try this. Would it work with raw sugar?

I guess it's like the beginnings of cake batter.

Really? Wow that's a great achievement then. Are you happy with your current weight? I'd imagine that you are, certainly you should be.

Yes thank you.

Haha oh no I'm such an enabler. And in the Fitbit thread too! And yes it's very much like cake batter, even better it doesn't have the supposedly bad raw egg. As for raw sugar, yes I'm sure that works too.

Is raw egg bad for you now?!?
