I wonder where they keep all that stuff.

I just imagine, "Have you seen one's big thistle brooch?" "No, not that one, the big one." "No, not that one, the really, really big one." "It didn't fit in any of one's jewellery trunks ... " " Have you seen one's big gold chain?" "No. Not that one, the really really long one with emeralds." "No. Not that one. That's yours. One's is a bit shorter and more silvery."

You really would have to live in a palace to find somewhere to store it all.

At least the queen doesn't need a lot of robe space for her shoes and handbags ... maybe she can't fit too many shoes in by the time she's hung up all the cloaks and hats and brooches.

Another interesting question, Wally. They're probably worth more after she's worn them, than they were before.

I love the colours in that top photo.

I just saw this as I was wandering around Pinterest so I thought I'd post it here... It's the signature of Elizabeth I of England. I'm guessing she didn't have to sign many documents...

PS...that black square was in the original pic too..I don't know why it's there.

I don't know why the black square's there either, but if you click on it, it does let you play around with it a little bit.

I reckon you're right about not her not having to sign a lot of documents - or else maybe it was her extra special siggie for stuff that didn't happen too often like treaties (I was going to say "and orders of execution", but it's hard to know how many of them there were.) It's nice that isn't part of our royal watch these days.

Though there was this.

Mary wore the same dress to the christening of Princess Athena of Denmark in May.;)

And the dress was made by Australian pop-princess-turned-designer Dannii Minogue.

The $530 Phoebe dress, from the spring/summer 2012 collection, has already sold out online part of Minogue's label "Project D" that she owns with Tabitha Somerset Webb.
