Cowboys & Aliens
Good film, I really enjoyed it. Honestly from some of the reviews i've seen of it, it's as if they saw a completely different film than the one I saw. Usually even if you are of a different opinion on a film, you can understand how or why a reviewer was of a different one. With this I don't get it? It was one of the best films of the 'summer.' Great caste, engaging, interesting, didn't sell you short on anything. One thing I have noticed is, I think people expected it to be silly, or embrace a big silly plot. Instead of playing it straight. Maybe people thought the title was silly, like "Snakes on a Plane" and so found it jarring when the film was played straight.
Rise of the Planet of the Apes
Another really good 'summer' film. Of course everyone already knows that.
It was quite well done, and really well made. It'd be pretty hard to have done this kind of story any better.
Horrible Bosses
I enjoyed this, it was fun and entertaining. Was looking forward to it, mainly because it has Charlie Day who is awesome on It's Always Sunny in Philedelphia. Good to start to see those guys have some success outside of that really good show. Although it's always a worry that it'll bring about the end of it sooner. Although there'll still be at least 3 more seasons including the one about to start. So all good.
The Next Three Days
This came out end of last year but I just watched it on Blu-ray. I quite liked it. Basically Russel Crowe is Married to Elizabeth Banks, she gets sent away for Murder. It gets into a man trying to break out of jail his wife once all appeals are spent as he's sure she's innocent. It's better than it sounds, and not a conventional break out of jail film. What I liked about it is, that you never knew what was happening next. Which made it quite entertaining.
Under rated film this.
