Last movie you saw

i was supposed to see it yesterday but wasn't feeling very well.
Did you enjoy it??
I am going next week now, taking my MIL..

How old is your MIL she might get a heart attack during one well talked about scene. That scene almost looks like she really is doing that for real. And there's another scene with her doing stuff to herself that is quite explicit...... But the story really fraks with your mind because of this it's so open and in your face.

The AI wanted humans as batteries. We got that from the first movie.

Yeah but it's such a stupid premise in itself, the three laws of robotics was often considered the reason. Although it wasn't explored. The battery concept is silly, it'd be an incredibly inefficient engerysource. So other reasons, such as using the matrix to explore humanity. Which was kind of kinded at with various programs living in the matrix ect.

Yeah I know.... Still I try to ignore the two sequels and like the first one

SBS is screening great indie movies on saturday nights again.
Last night, Into the Wild, I had missed this and wanted to see it.
Interesting movie, loved it.Grogeous scenery, and oh so sad.
Hal Holbrooke, oh he was heart breaking, he's in Water for Elephants coming out in April, love this actor.
Kristin Stewart in it for a minute, don't like her Bella in Twilight, but she was good in this - briefly.

For the very first time i watched.... The Godfather I
<3d it but found it hard to watch in parts because the movie has been spoofed so many times its hard to take it seriously (especially one of the scenes with Don Vito and his grandson)
mm also it is 3 hours long, i had to take a break but loved it nonetheless.
Highly reccomend for anyone that has not seen this movie :) plus James Caan was HAWT when he was younger...and its cool seeing a young Diane Keaton and Robert Duvall (who was awesome)

Tried watching Godfather II but the recording stuffed up >.< pretty good so far though

mmm also watched Havoc with Anne Hathaway only because it was forced apon me by a friend...
kept waiting for it to get exciting but it just kept getting more boring :(
Avoid at all cost IMO

that would be the only reeason i would watch it. since i have probably seen the whole thing being spoofed in the Simpsons and the like. turns the film into a comedy ;)

the last movie i saw was....Rango. at an advance screening, i dont think its out yet.

It was alright. it had its moments of being funny, but it wasnt anywhere near something like Toy story. Johnny depp didnt star, another actor could have done his job just as good. Also a major plot point had me stumped. They are talking about water as if it is currency, however the survive days in the desert without drinking anything and still not collapsing from exhaustion, thus implying that they could survive without it....

the Midgets in the audience seemed to like it though. Maybe im just too old for that shit....

Godfather is one of those movies that you really get into. You really sink into that world.
Get Godfather II. It is definitely worth it.
Part 3? You know, I liked it. It's an unnecessary sequel, but still worth a look.
And then try Sergio Leonie's, "Once Upon a Time in America".

Finally saw Tomorrow When The War Began. Loved it. Was pleasantly surprised by the H&A and Neighbours kids.

That's the only thing putting me off seeing this.

re: The Godfather some great quotes there like "going to the mattresses"

well it shouldnt. have you read the book? its quite good really. much better production values than HandA and Neighbours, much better acting....totally worth it.

I know what happens next, but the movie made me think "I wanna see the next one!", so that's a good sign. Was amazing for an aussie film.

Apparently the sequel, The Dead of the Night, has been green lit. good news, as I was a MASSIVE fan of the books as a kid and was impressed with the quality of the Tomorrow movie.

I just saw the Adjustment Bureau tonight.

And on the whole meh........

It was OK but nothing like te hype on the advertisements that were selling one on the movie.

The best and saving grace of the film was the two leads. They were wonderful.

As for the secret organisation.......So many plot points you need a truck to wade through them. And in the end such a cliche ending I saw that a mile off. I nearly yelled "Cliche" in the cinema.

Anyone else seen this? Thoughts?

nuh, i like both actors though and will view it on dvd.

How do you get tickets to a premier?

I want tickets top the opening of Water for Elephants, Sydney, 6 May, State theatre. Do you have to get invited or do they have some tickets for the slubs like me?

Saw Black Swan today - I really liked it alot - not for everyone but sometimes I like a movie to be a bit off centre ;) Natalie was wonderful.

Hardly recognized Winona Ryder in it - the ladies behind us saw her name at the end credits and asked where she was in the movie.

No interest at all in seeing that film.

Ok

So Saw Hall Pass. It was amusing enough. It wasn't particularly good, but it wasn't terrible. Didn't get bored or not be amused by it. It was just very mediocre.

Limitless
This was actually really good. I thought it looked decent and then heard a bunch of good stuff about it that made me want to see it and expect something good. It was better than I expected. So yeah, good, interesting film.
