Last movie you saw

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.

My god its a beautiful movie.
Every sweaty, scarred, weatherbeaten face.
Every scene framed just perfectly.

the 3 amigos. it wasnt bad i guess. nothing that just stood out as being hilariously funny though....perhaps maybe the Buttercup dance....

hubby is watching district 9. I can't work out if it's meant to be funny or not. It is a bit - and it was in previews. I guess it's got an apartheid undercurrent but with aliens.

Extremely good movie and humour is used as part of it. So yes it is funny, but it's not a comedy or anything.
Just an awesome movie experience.

it wasn't bad, not my thing but not bad. Apparently it's like peter jackson's pre-lotr stuff but on a bigger budget.

Maybe in the sense of the way it was approached. However I watched one of his early things last year. Bad Taste and eh.... i last about 40 mins.

So for low budget horror comedy maybe... eh but i'll stick with starting his movie career with the excellent "Heavenly Creatures." Which if you haven't seen, go out and watch now. It's a true story of two teenage girls in the 50s who kill one of their mothers.

Four Lions on DVD

Think the Mr Bean of terrorists and you have this not hilarious but very funny & wrong movie.

It's interesting, when Chris Morris was writing and researching the film he did come across all these accounts of completely incompetant want to be torrorists.

Good film.

Just watched The Kid. Based on a true story about a kid growing up in English council housing, physically abused by his parents and his struggle to survive and get anywhere in life. I thought it was awesome. I recommend.

Has anyone else seen The Kings Speech?
I loved it, but I probably should have brushed up on some royal history.
It took me most of the movie to work out that Bertie was the queens' father, and that the queen from Alice in Wonderland was the Queens mother.

AMAZING film. I actually want to go and see it again.

Spielberg's A.I.

What the hell were they thinking?

This movie was full of sugar coating and weird scenes.... Also it seemed to have 4 endings that they must have thought "nah, what the hell leave them ALL in" because near the end I thought "it's over," then long pause and blam we're back in the movie. Again!!!

End already.

The Teddy bears were the coolest thing about the movie ane everyone seems to think that.

But one vibe I got. What was the 2000 year gap? I got the distinct feeling that humans and robots had some kind of dust up... Then the robots evolved? Which at a long stretch might be almost plausable if you take into account learning systems, and the machines trying to repair, modify, improve themselves.

How did Teddy know to save the hair of the mother for later? Was he psychic because some 2000 years later the uber robots make a clone of her for only one day? And why can't David tell her she's been cloned? Will that rupture the space/time continuum? LOL

Overall 5/10

God no. I haven't seen it, but a friend did and she said it's just weird. Explicit scenes of the girl pleasuring herself. And it just doesn't make sense. But imagine explaining that to your 10yo.

i am dying to see Black Swan. My 10 year old daughter wants to see it because it is ballet but I said No Way.

LOL pity you are not near me, my 19 year old daughter who loves ballet is also keen to go.

ADIT: just saw what Emcee posts, err maybe not such a good idea for a 10 year old

Sounds good, putting it on my list of movies

I saw this last week and wasn't overly impressed don't think its suitable for a 10yr old

Yea I knew the content before that's why it was a definite no. I dont want to also explain how/why she is losing her mind.
