Last movie you saw

These things work differently in the USA. Due to a large population distribution costs are less.

More to a point, they actually have widespread video on demand services with their cable that are proper. Not like the shit foxtel has there. So people can stream HD quality movies that are true on demand at their homes at a click of a button. So there is more competition to DVDs than in Australia. Driving prices down.

Shit like Netflix over there is even on the Wii.

True.... You can even buy movies that way online and download them to your PC or such to keep forever. Can't do that here except if you are on Itunes which I detest, plus Itunes is not the cheapest place..

I will be buying this on the weekend..... Cheaper via Amazon then here over here it's $30

Finally went back to the cinema for the first time in, maybe, 14 months!

Saw "The King's Speech" and it was magnificent. Fantastic acting, wonderful story. Have to admit tearing up a little at the end.

Helena BC was also superb as The Queen Mother (young version) and I almost see her in an entirely new light. Had not idea about Bertie's (George's) speech impediment and fear of public speaking. Thought it was great (4 out of 5 there) :)

OK Amazon rules.............

I just got the following in Australian Dollars

Inception for $9.95
Tron Legacy $15.95
Dark Skies $24.95

On top of that shipping $15 for all three from the US. Stuff local stores.....

If you want Blu-Rays, go to Amazon.co.uk.

With Blu-Rays australia is in the same region as the UK and they and some of the stuff is way cheaper.

A few months back for the Alien Blu-ray set for about 60bucks Aus all up. It's still 115 in aussie shops.

took 10 year old daughter to Never Say Never and damn it - It was actually quite good. Learnt quite a lot (had no idea how poor the family was) I am not a fan of his music but will never knock those who do like it. Whatever floats your boat- harmless fun for the teens :)

I don't wish to go blu-ray.... I'll keep buying DVDs and when they stop making them won't buy any more.

Blu-ray is good if you have the right equipment. Otherwise, no point.

One thing though, DVDS came about just before modern widescreen tvs and actually blu-ray is an appropriate media for them. DVDs were out of date really quickly. All modern tvs for years have been built for blu-ray.

Hate toi admit it but the clips actually do look interesting.
It's 3D isn't it? 3d concert movies make sense.

Hating on Bieber is kind of odd I find, sort of like hating the Wiggles or Hi 5.
I think it's kind of cute they have their own teeny idols now, I had to crush and teeny obsess about adult performers - most likely some were highly inappropriate for my age.
My friends and i at 13/14 would likely be arrested as stalkers now, and we are lucky nothing real creepy happened to us the lengths we went to following local artists.

I saw Paul last night.
I hadn't heard anything about it, but I had some good laughs.
It's about an alien, & it takes off a few previous sci fi movies.

Pretty funny.

SCRE4M. Fvcking amazing. ;)

I've never seen any of the Scream movies, I think I got them mixed up with the Scary Movie series and had no interest. I do love really scary movies - not gore fests but scary shit.

Recommend?

I found all the scream movies predictable and boring.

Now the send ups were much more fun

ha ha, yeah, I made the same mistake. We saw a poster at the movies last weekend, and I was claiming it was a comedy, and the other guy was shaking his head saying "nope". Looks like I had the wrong end of the stick.

I don't usually like US teen comedies that much but I think I'd prefer the comedy, as US teen horrors are even worse (at least these days). M Night Shamalyan was quite good.

Last movie I saw was off SBS on Wednesday night: "Incident at Loch Ness" directed by Werner Herzog, and starring Werner Herzog and various others.

Not sure if anyone else saw it, but it was decidedly wacky. At the end I said: this is rubbish, but found it strangely enjoyable at the same time.

OMG I can't stand M Night Shamalama and his films. The only film of his that I enjoy is The Sixth Sense
