I watched Monsters vs Aliens for the very first time and loved it.
Is the guy in Megamind related to the blue guy in this?

A lot of people really disliked Monsters vs Aliens. I thought it was vastly underrated. A very fun film.

Honestly I don't know why you'd dislike that it's fun.......My only gripe is that Ginormica (Susan) isn't tall enough. They should have made her as tall as the bug.

my daughter got a couple of those movies for xmas..Breakfast club and sixteen candles. Being 13 she'd never heard of them. I must steal them from her and rewatch them. It's been years since I've seen them. Some Kind of Wonderful is a good movie. I might have to look for it next time I go to Target. It's often on their $8.99 shelf.

hubby is watching district 9. I can't work out if it's meant to be funny or not. It is a bit - and it was in previews. I guess it's got an apartheid undercurrent but with aliens.

A small town is invaded by a hostile alien and this guy played by Eric McCormack from Will & Grace comes as alien bounty hunter to save the day, and Earth. It's a satire of all of those movies from the 1950's ... complete with bad effects etc. It's billed as a comedy but there is not that much in direct humour... You will have to watch closely to get the gags.

it wasn't bad, not my thing but not bad. Apparently it's like peter jackson's pre-lotr stuff but on a bigger budget.

nearly forgot how hot Paul Rudd can be..
If you havent seen it, its best not to read too much about it first just watch it.

I watched The Killer Inside Me last night. Very disturbing violence in this movie but really great acting, Casey Affleck is a fantastic actor, really believable, he's very talented. Good story, tense, good thriller.

I was so disappointed with S&TC 2.
If they ever do a 3rd movie, it better a) be WAY better written, b) make up for the serious lack of humour in the last one and c) NEVER have the girls leave the confines of NYC ever again!
