^^^^I read about Burswood last night, amazing pics. Trying to get a handle on the fans that kept the room up, weren't they noisy?

I saw these today and thought I'd post...

Thank you, Julia.

More women now graduate Uni than men, yet female grads still early around $2000 less a year than the male grads and the gap is increasing. Of the ASX 2000 companies only around 2% are women and around 10% hold exec positions. Anyone who says that has nothing to do with gender is kidding themselves.

Thank you Julia.

Women are also trouncing men at all law schools, more graduates are women, most awards go to women - but tiny numbers are partners in law firms, or go on to politics.

Canberra should be the role model for onsite easy access childcare, women at work, crèche in the same building.

Indeed it is my problem that I find that I find it peculiar that a man who spews hatred is banging on about how his creater will judge others, the lack of insight is astounding.

1) I don't spew hatred, and to remind you of another of your slanders, I don't have "sick beliefs" either.

You, on the other hand, have made it plain that you've chosen subjectivity as the main foundation for your truth and morality and the filter by which you view life, the universe, and everything. This certainly gives you the freedom to declare what is and isn't hateful but the reality of it is that, because you have chosen to embrace subjectively determined truth and morality over objective truth and morality, your measure is both flawed, unreliable, and ultimately will turn out to have not even served you very well, let alone anybody else.

Your chosen subjectively determined truth and morality may well make it easy for you to claim others "spew hatred" and have "sick beliefs" but objective truth and morality trumps subjective truth and morality and you are unable to objectively justify your claims. :D

What is more, even when it comes to subjective truth'n'morality vs subjective truth'n'morality and before the kind of smack down that objective truth and morality brings, surely it is hypocrisy to think that your own subjective truth'n'morality is more valid or more moral than that of the next person ?

Anyhoo Eliza I don't have sick beliefs and I don't spew hatred and so I would thank you to not attempt to try and slander me in such (and similar) ways again in these forums. That said, I am also quite happy to publicly discuss with you that which you have chosen to currently deem "sick" and "hatred" so that, using an objective measure (IE, the handbook wot Our Creator has provided for us all), we can come to proper terms and discover what is and isn't sick and what is and isn't hatred, etc.

So, which alleged "sick belief" would you first like to examine and discover is far from sick, what what alleged "spewing of hatred" would you first like to dissect and discover has nothing in common with hatred at all ?

I'm ever game to have my views and beliefs publicly put to a "trial by bible" in these forums ... how about you with yours ?

2) If you bothered to read my posts rather than merely assuming the contents (and thus typically getting it wrong) you would notice that I don't exlude myself from God's judgement. For example, note the word "our" in the following requote:

Come judgement, surely the likes of those punished @ Sodom & Gomorrah will fair better than these more modern generations and our wholesale slaughter of millions upon millions of unborn children !

That so many people appear to no longer see/realise the evil of it only helps reveal the need for Heavenly intervention.

I wonder how much longer it will be before our Creator declares "Enough ! This far and no further ! Repent or perish !" ... and basically finishes of fulfilling what He started to read when He stood up in the Synagogue and read from Isaiah around 2000 years ago.

Did you look up what Yeshua read out loud from Isaiah all those years ago ? Did you note just where He stopped reading ? Did you then read on and discover what He is yet to complete ? Did you then realise that it will affect us all, that we are "all in this together" (as I wrote the other day and included a trailer to "under the dome") and that I'm basically longing for the day when our Creator returns to put humanity back on track again in person and it certainly doesn't preclude a kick in the bum for me ?

Also, anyone who has a basic knowledge of ancient texts would know that:

1) Judgement starts at home, IE, with those who are called by His name first ... the book of Revelation in particular details His message/view/more than slightly miffedness with the various kinds of "Churches" that parallel the way things were at the time of writing, right through the ages, to these "modern" times that are surely closer than ever to the return of Yeshua who shall complete the rest of what has been long promised, long required, and arguable, long overdue.

2) That I regularly express the biblical view that "we reap what we sow", which is obviously a blanket statement that in no way excludes me.

3) That it isn't unreasonable or illogical to infer/think that folk who choose to do what God deems to be evil but who are also ignorant of What God Deems, may well be judged by a different measure than those who are well aware of what God deems to be evil but choose to do it anyway. Feel free to read into that whatever you like if it makes you feel any happier.

The basic gist of all that is that I'm of the firm view that we ALL shall be judged and that the outcome of that may well be more severe for those who "knew better but did it anyway".

As for these forums and members, I regularly express the view of "our life, our choice" and share how wonderful the gift of free-will is; that we are free to choose to do good and that we are similarly free to choose to do evil. I've also pointed out from time to time that if even our Lord and Creator is somewhat unwilling to interfere with the rights of free-will, then we should be careful in that regard too ... or words to that nature.

No one is required to read, let alone like, anything I choose to write. Neither reading nor not liking it doesn't make any of it "sick" or the "spewing of hatred" either.

Anyhoo, to finish off this particular missive, here is a bit of objective truth and one that is linked in my sig to three different passages in the ancient texts.

"It shall come to pass that all who call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved"

At the end of the day, perhaps that single thrice repeated promise will turn out to be the most tangible bit of objectivety for those caught in an unpleasant binding of their own choosing (cause and effect and all that).

In short, a life-line for the lost ?

As for me, I've been sitting on my verandah since around 8am with the sound of a small town slowly waking up, the sound of an artificial small-brook trickling into the frog ponds, and everything from the verandah through to Mount Brown shrouded in morning mist . As I've typed the mist has fallen in tiny tiny drops as the morning sun has chased it all away and cut through to warm my legs and allow the smell of log fires from all over town to reach me.

morning1.jpg

Ahhhhhhh, another great day that I'm thankful to still be here to enjoy and thank our Creator for.

May the day for you lot be at least as nice ... and as peaceful as you both want and need.

[ADIT] ahhhh++ LSCP has arisen at long last. Time for a cuddle in the sun and a cuppa I think ? :)

Well I guess it is all about what you think is hate, in my world calling someone a witch or referring to a collective of people as left-tards or generalising by calling anyone who supports the greens Greenazisis is spewing hatred. I am not completely innocent of name calling, we all get fired up from time to time but your hatred has a pattern completely different to anything I have ever come across, I feel very sorry for you it must be exhausting.

You're like a forum version of the crazy guy who stands on the city street corner in a battered coat and bare feet manically screaming biblical quotes in a quest to convert those he sees as sinners, when in actual fact all he does is scare the fuck out of the normal with his misguided righteous extremism.

My view is that anybody who can be convinced of something by the clever arguments of somebody, can also most prolly be convinced of the opposite by the sophistries of somebody else ... and so on an so forth.

Dunno how that fits into the scenario of me scaring you. :D

Anyhoo, I'm sure if I was to promote in here the view of "do what thou wilt shalt be the whole of the law and in it hurt none" I would have no shortage of folk declaring they would happily belong to THAT kind of church.

I find it both fascinating and telling what folk choose to deem acceptable and reasonable and what isn't. So many seem to want to have God in their image and even more certainly don't want to see themselves as being accountable to their Creator !

Especially women ! ;)

Manohman they certainly seem to be far more likely to be entrapped by The Original Sin. You know. Pride. :D

Anyhoo++, and objectively speaking, my understanding is that no one comes to the Father except by the Son and no one comes to the Son unless the Spirit leads them.

I don't see either a mention nor need for derspatz (been a while since you mentioned "talks in 3rd person" so bunged that in out of kindness :)) in any of that, so no need to be frightened of little old me.

Well I guess it is all about what you think is hate, in my world calling someone a witch or referring to a collective of people as left-tards or generalising by calling anyone who supports the greens Greenazisis is spewing hatred.

Yes, in your world, the phrase "spewing hatred" is exactly whatever you choose it to be. That's subjectively determined truth and morality for ya.

That you have determined it to be so doesn't make it so ... but whatever gets you through the night, eh ?

[[ADIT] and for the record, my earlier title of "ding dong the witch is ditched ..." was clearly intended to be a dig at the left-ards and greenazis who couldn't wait to make "ding dong the witch is dead" top of the pops when Margaret Thatcher passed on, coupled with a reference to the sign that somebody brought up and displayed behind Mr Tony Abbott while he was giving a speech at a protest about the utterly unneeded and utterly unmandated tax on CO2 that the sexist racist misandrist left-ardian emily lister fabian socialist Julia Gillard and her greenazi bed-fellows inflicted upon Oz.

In short, it was my idea of humour and wasn't in the slightest meant to convey the notion that I think the previous leader of the inept and wastrel ALP is a witch and should be called one. That apparently you are too humourless to enjoy such things is, once again, more your problem than mine. :D

As for the term "left-ard", that is no more "spewing hatred" than "right-ard". IE, it isn't. Not my fault that Oz doesn't seem to have all that much (let alone, God Forbid, a "collective") of "right-ards". We've merely and currently been suffering under a minority government thanks to a minority population of "left-ards" but that is surely about to change and once again we'll go back to having what the majority of Oz wants and that is centrist ala conservative government and the prime minister of it will, at long last, be Mr Tony Abbott.

As for "greenazi", this too is a statement of fact. That particular political party and ideology is well revealed as being of similar mindset to the brown-shirted left-ard extremists / totalitarians who, when given the opportunity around 60 years ago, marched/bundled off and murdered those who were a threat to their luciferic aims.

In short, I call it like it so obviously is and I see no reason to apologise for that. It isn't "spewing hatred", it is calling a spade a spade.

I am not completely innocent of name calling, we all get fired up from time to time but your hatred has a pattern completely different to anything I have ever come across, I feel very sorry for you it must be exhausting.

(ADIT ... lols @ your subjective measure that apparently permits you to deem what other people do or think as being hatred or sick but merely "name calling" when it comes to yourself ... and how oblivious you are to your hypocrazy)

No need to feel sorry for me, being me is far from exhausting and your measure for "hatred" is flawed anyway. Also, perhaps it would be easier for you if you stopped trying to put the pegs in holes they were never designed for and started measuring the world and people objectively rather than by your own questionable subjective filter ?

Maybe then the blinkers will come off and you will begin to see and understand the world, life, the universe, and everything from a more illuminating vantage ? :D

Today I am off to meet some friends for a late lunch, we are going to a cafe that is directly opposite my new apartment/construction site. I have good friends they humour my current obsession.

All the best with the new apartment and may the change of location also assist in you seeing the world and experiencing life in a new and better way. :)

Isn't it great that, at least here in Oz (and certainly online) if we don't like where we are, we can always move !

The sisterhood stabbing one of their own in the back… You’ve always got to like that, don’t you? When the sisterhood stab one of their own in the back…

I wonder how loud former prime minister Gillard screamed when her own sisterhood knifed her in the back and took her out - Minister Wong is now sitting reaping the spoils of the victory, drinking from the chalice of blood. - Senator Michaelia Cash

BTW Tralalad (and as you yourself would soon find out should you choose to come out :D), much of "waa, waa, waa ...ing that gets directed @ me in these forums is simply because I'm A Bloke and unashamedly so, dontchaknow ? :) :) :)

Well they have cut ties to the CAIR group in the USA. The problem was that somehow they got mixed up in possible terrorist links. If you believe what FOX news have said that is.

I'm not sure having ties with such groups is a good thing either because if a few bad apples get in there goes all your credibility. Well we'll see how this pans out. I think it was silly of the alphabet agency to have any ties to any such group in the first place, that's not their job. IMHO

quote from Tony Abbott in 2010 saying basically Women are not good enough.

http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Tony_Abbott

Near the top of the page. OMG and what he has changed his views since then. I don't believe it. Some real gems in there.

Goodness me there is some doozies there, are they for real. I guess I could double check. This one is a shocker.

If we’re honest, most of us would accept that a bad boss is a little bit like a bad father or a bad husband … you find that he tends to do more good than harm. He might be a bad boss but at least he’s employing someone while he is in fact a boss.

and

While I think men and women are equal, they are also different and I think it's inevitable and I don't think it's a bad thing at all that we always have, say, more women doing things like physiotherapy and an enormous number of women simply doing housework

The return of Kevin Rudd is the final hammer blow in the destruction of Labor’s moral code. The person who sabotaged its 2010 campaign is now its leader for the 2013 election.

The message for young activists on the so-called progressive side of politics is clear: the way ahead is through dishonesty, treachery and cowardice. If they sabotage an organisation, ultimately, they will be rewarded with its leadership. They too, like Mr Rudd, can be the ruler of the ruins.

... some campaigning by the conservative-free ABC:

ABC News Breakfast interviews three young people to see if Kevin Rudd’s appeal to young voters connects with them (Friday, 28 June 2013).

Who are the three young people they consult?

Dominic Ofner, President NSW Young Labor

Penny Parker, Women’s Officer, NSW Young Labor

John Birrell, NSW Young Labor Member

Sounds like a testably true statement and not even in the slightest unreasonable.

Sound like the words of a deluded fool living in denial as to what she did and how she did it. The reality is that she was NEVER a PM that the majority of Oz wanted and that, arguably, the majority of female voters rejected her party and thus, her.

The reality is that sexist racist misandrist emily lister fabian socialist Julia Gillard betrayed her own party leader who the union bosses couldn't control the way they wanted to, then she went on to inflict ever increasing disaster and debt upon this country, her party led by her was then rejected by the majority of Oz voters (what is the ratio of male voters to female voters BTW ? :)) but sadly, thanks to two independents who chose to ignore and betray the wishes of their own electorates, a minority government hostile to the will of the majority of Oz voters was spawned and we've been suffering the results of that ever since.

Anyhoo, aside from that, perhaps Julie Bishop will become PM during the ALP's next couple of decades in the wilderness ... and not only that, but also be the legitimate PM than Oz's first female PM never was.

Yes, I'm sure we'll all be just as proud as Oz's first illegitimate female PM when Oz finally has a legitimate female PM, especially if they also prove themselves to be up to the responsibility ... unlike the illegitimate one the comrades and sisters in the ALP just killed off, hmmm ?

Wouldn't the sisterhood in here love for Oz to finally have female PM who wins the job legitimately and with the approval and support of the majority of Oz voters ... or does that love dry up at the thought of such a PM not being from the marxist/communist/socialist/left-ardian/greenazi side of politics ?

Well if it is any consolation I love blokes. In fact the two people I love, respect and admire most in this world have the dangly block and tackle you often scratch when you think no one is looking. And the person who had the greatest impact on me growing up and loved me best, but who is sadly now as dead as a doornail, also sported the dangly bits.

I find much of "waa, waa, waa ...ing that gets directed @ me in these forums is simply because I can't stand fuckwits and unashamedly so, dontchaknow ? :) :) :)

And for the record, I like a lot of what Tony Abbott has to say. Like Julia, I feel a lot of what he says gets pulled out of context then wacked into a silly meme and coupled with said quote and again the puppets of this country get their strings pulled and start dancing to the outrageous beat. I don't believe he is a misogynist. To me there is no way a misogynist could help cultivate such beautiful, intelligent and articulate daughters, like he has.

I am a proud woman, who loves the sisterhood, but I don't feel like I need to kick men in the balls to celebrate that.

But to get back to you and God. I am no bible basher, but from the little I know about it I can see you are doing it all wrong. I am sure the book is meant to focus more on the love and compassion and less on judgement, fire and brimstone. Did learning about the Middle Ages teach you nothing?! I think you need to make loving God and Jesus a little more fun, I mean look no further than Matthew 12:25:69, where it clearly states "Jesus loves those who spell cool with a c, never say the word internut, wimmin or greenazi and fuck like they're being filmed". While you may well have the last under control, you seriously need to work on the first, second, third and forth.

Stoopid spelling makes baby Jesus cry dontchaknow?

I do agree with much of what you say, Trala; but if you must talk about stoopid spelling mistakes, which we all make (especially me!), it might be a good idea to spell check before posting.

I'd also like to call truce. I enjoyed that brief period when we were civil to each other.

:) <- That's for you.
