Housemate Hunt 2014

Tim already outlined the idea of that letter to the public in his "audition advice" video.. I mean the whole process now, up until the final 50.. Is bassicly public knowledge

It's more the fact that he is "in the running" still and broke the agreement... Not really the process of the audition... It's fine for you because you went through to that round a few years before... But he is a "potential housemate"

Edit to above:

I went to his page again and he commented this -
Thanks babe xoxo yeah I asked prouder and said this is fine but any other information from now on CANT Be broadcasted on a socks media

Obviously he meant producer but weird that they would allow this... But oh well whatever floats their boat. Maybe it's a test haha?

I highly doubt it. His chances of going any further are very low now.

I wonder if they are getting as many people turn up to auditions as they hoped for. Didn't look like too many in Newcastle.... I heard they were giving out fast track passes the day before.

On another note, has anyone heard of anyone getting a fast track that is in the last few stops (Adelaide, Canberra and Townsville)?

Yeah, the pics on FB looked pretty devoid of people.

As I said last week.. when I was at the first day of Brisbane Auditions last Saturday.. The Numbers were down.
I turned up at the exact same time, as I did in 2013 to line up sorta first thing before they opened.. Last year I was at the back of the line almost a block away from the entrance..
This year I was around the corner from the entrance.
The line moved fast and very quickly after it started.. The line wasn't getting much bigger.
By around 9am you could just walk straight into the registration que and not have to wait long at all... In previous years you would have had to wait in line before the registration line until at least 11am.
And a lot of people in the waiting rooms all said the same thing amongst themselves.. about how there seem to be a lot less people.

It might also be helping them.. having the nominate a mate.. because they were processing "couples".. friends together this year rather then separating everyone

Yeah that might be a symptom of the nominate a mate fast track process. They only need a handful of interesting people :)

I would have thought if anything that this year would be busier in Brisbane given that they aren't going to the gold coast.....
Newcastle had two housemates last year.....

Weird that it is so much quieter, especially as last year was deemed such a success ful season.

Well I am pretty sure that they moved away from the GC this year because, compared to brisbane last year
The GC numbers were pretty low in the first place.

It was really interesting to read about all the auditions but just wanted to say, loud and really show-off type people aren't necessarily extroverted. You can be shy and extroverted at the same time. You can also seem very at ease around people and confident and be introverted. It's just a common misconception I wanted to correct. Generally, extroverted people will feel more energetic around people while they feel as if being by themselves is energy-consuming. Introverted people will feel the opposite.

Yeah extroverted people still feel drained if they're trying to prove themselves. Many actors are actually introverts and the reason they can do that is that they're actually presenting a different persona other than their own one. Introverts also learn to "fake it" because western cultures are an extrovert's world.

Spoken by an introvert in a relationship with the biggest extrovert in the world.

I had a friend whom I met via the big brother audition line 2 years ago on the gold coast.. he was meant to come with me to the brisbane ones last week but couldn't make it due to work commitments.
So anyways..
He flew down to Sydney yesterday and did the Auditions today, he told me that unlike previous years the numbers were a lot less this year (barely anyone turned up to wait early) and that the waiting time was fast and the overall energy of the people lined up to audition this year compared to previous was a lot less energetic and more quiet, that is of course until you get into the round one process.
*p.s..
He didn't get past round one himself

Wow that's commitment! Flying to Sydney and all, such a shame he didn't even make it past round one.
Maybe no one is waiting early because they have given out so many fast tracks!!

Have you heard of anyone going to audition in the later stages that has a fast track?

My friend is auditioning tommorow. I'll ask him how it was and post here.

Does anyone know the entire process: from first audition to housemate?

I would say the producers have found heaps they liked through watching the video applications and fast tracked lot's of people. Lot's of people would have been nominated through the nominate a mate system and they would have received fast tracks as well. This is most likely why the line ups and overall turn out has seemed a lot smaller. If you have not been fast tracked it is probably not even worth going. There will probably be a stand out character who didn't apply online and instead just saw the auditions as they walked past and decided to go in. If you applied online though and didn't get a fast track I would say your chances of making it through this year are quite slim.
