Just a shame Seven didn't realise how much more that moment would impact on it's viewers if they hadn't plugged it all week. They could have just teased that someone gets a 10.
I know from earlier in the thread they stop the teams socialising but it is absolutely clear to me the way to get things done in this competition is to team up with your neighbours for each reno and build good relationships. We saw that with Maddie & Lloyd and Candie & Ryan in an early reno and now with Carole & Russell and Adam & Lisa - it just helps so much to know what those around you are doing, and also helps considerably when it comes to renovating their house. I suspect a large part of the reason Brooke and Grant are doing so badly is that they don't really give the others the time of day, so not only don't have allies during the renos but also don't know they people they're renovating for.I am so happy for Lisa and Adam - they did great and for Carol and Russ taking them under their wings - was awesome!
Nope, I couldn't see how it was worth the effort. I guess they can change it easily enough if they hate it. I don't like it when they do things that are not an easy fix if the homeowner doesn't like it e.g the pressed metal all over the lounge room walls.Did anyone like Maddi's attempt of splattering the black paint on the glass for the kitchen splashback?

They obviously weren't expecting this. I think it was Candy on Monday's epsiode who said Bomber and Mel's house was their last 'inside' Reno. She was apparently expecting the garden renos to come next.Looking at the 7 website the format will deviate from last years next week:
Tuesday: The five remaining teams are given their toughest challenge yet to transform an entire house in four days! With a tight budget and an even tighter turnaround, it will push the teams to the limit.
Wednesday: Pressure is mounting for the teams as the clock ticks down. With a new set of rules and a tight budget, all teams are in chaos.
Agree, I had visions of wood panelling for a gentleman's club feeling and the pressed metal for just the ceiling. I've never tried spray painting but if I was going on one of those shows I think I would take a crash course. That really is too much. Would have been great to have a pressed metal ceiling in the lounge, with dark wood panelling as a dado. And Ryan was doing such a sloppy job spraying on the undercoat, no wonder Candy doesn't want him doing her spray tans! He should be doing it in slow even strokes... Not that I've ever spray tanned anyone.
Ummm NO!Did anyone like Maddi's attempt of splattering the black paint on the glass for the kitchen splashback?
Ummm NO!
What the fuck was that? It looked horrible.
So I loved the pressed metal, I think if it is done right it will look really good. Kind of reminds me of the sets from Broadwalk Empire. If I were on the show one of my rules would be "Give me old world charm like Broadwalk Empire"
