Yeah, he's completely showing off. He has the social graces of a hyena.I still like David but his BEHAVIOUR with all these new housemates is pretty disgusting. His attitude has CLEARLY changed with new people around.

Agreed. It was being disrespectful. She had a right to feel hurt. David was insensitive and the new guys should not have shouted because they don't even know her.I don't think it was bullying.
Priya is pissed the new HM's did what the did without knowing her.
Yes, while the four are standing around her while the one is sitting in the pool.Ganging up is ganging up..it is not about cultures it is all about the NUMBERS
i.e. 4 against One
I took it like she is going to pretend she likes her because she doesn't want to come across as bitchy and insecure.Skye could feel threatened by Penny as they have similar personalities, but instead she loves her. That shows a kind and inclusive spirit.

Yep. I'm currently watching this ep again, and remember when David apologized and offered to talk to 'the guys' but Priya said "We can both talk to them."? They went to the gym for 'the meeting' with the guys and David began, "I copped it—". Priya interrupted to say she would start. This fuckwit just passes up every opportunity to redeem himself. It's not about culture though because if it was, Priya would be the one struggling to make friends and having people talk about how annoying she is/how uncomfortable she makes them feel.
. . .
It has nothing to do with culture, it's that David has poor social skills and is unable to see (or, more likely, doesn't care) when someone is uncomfortable. Which is an important part of being social - watching the way people react so that if you're making them uncomfortable you can jump on it immediately and correct the situation.
It was a shitty situation to put her in, and it was his responsibility to diffuse it because he'd made it impossible for her to do it herself.
When you're having DEFENCE DEFENCE chanted at you, there's NOTHING you can say without them chanting it louder like "haaa you're proving our point."
You can't really defend a bloke with saying "jokes just don't translate well" when the bloke himself acts like he's from another fuckin planet.
