Big Brother UK season 15 - SPOILERS

Regarding the claim that the whole show was fixed toward Helen winning... REALLY???

...my good friend Dystopia.. to answer your first question I believe that the answer to it could be a... more than likely... resounding YES!...

...my reasons for saying that???... some quotes from the 'comments section' at the bottom of this website...

...comes these comments... I'm guessing that because it is from the Brits themselves then they are stating these accusations from some semblance of truth that must be headlining the newspapers over there... as I say... it's based on what THEY are writing being that they are in the middle of the fury over there... here are just 3 of the comments on this particular page... going onto other websites people over there are saying exactly the same thing!...... they all seem to be having the same running theme...

Don't you know that till recently channel 5 was owned by the Billionaire pornographer Richard Desmond, therefor he also owned Big Brother and obviously picked the HMs. He owns The Express, The Star, Ok, Now etc etc. Helen, Steven, Kim and Winston are all on his books, he's the one that has given Helen her reality show deal. Read articles about 'Britains Greediest Billionaire'. The Private Eye article in particular. His two closest aides are convicted criminals. The public have been rinsed by him and there should be an enquiry. Corruption.

Come on Emma, time to distance yourself from BB if you are a genuine journalist. RICHARD DESMOND, the owner of Channel 5, The Daily Star, Ok magazine and Express Newspaper - Also agent for Helen Wood, Kim, Steven, Jale, Mark, Ash and Winston has got a lot invested in Helen and is totally in a position to fix the votes by financing additional phone votes. The way the voting changed in the past 24 hours is hughly suspicious and should be investigated by the Fraud Squad.

Did you know ? Helen Wood is signed to Northern & Shell talent agency which is
owned by Richard Desmond who owns C5 surely that isn't surprising that
she is the winner of BB 2014. But what will be surprising is IF no one
asks how there is no conflict of interest or breach of competition rules
(in business) there really should be an inquiry into this and also who
voted and where the votes came from which can all be tracked and
accounted for. People voted and payed money to vote they should DEMAND a
full investigation.

...as I say Dystopia... going not only by these 3 examples but by a myriad of other comments on other forums they all seem to be saying the same thing... it makes me think that there HAS to be some basis of truth to it for it to be circulating so rampantly over a sea of so many different websites... so basing it on that running theme for me from all the way over here in Australia... I do tend to believe that the show was fixed toward Helen winning the show... it's hard not to believe that there is no wrong going on here somewhere I'm afraid... rumours are usually based on some elements of truth at most times...

...needless to say... it's going to be interesting to see how it all pans out within the near future... apparently Emma has come under a lot of fire in trying to play down the 'rigging' claims... unfortunately for her being just a mere puppet mouthpiece for BBUK she is taking the brunt of the public anger...

...a lot of Brits are talking about getting out a class action against BBUK in recuperating their voting costs because they feel that they have been deceived... as I say... interesting days ahead methinks!... cheers.

...by the way my friend... congratulations on Helen's win for you... to your credit you have stood by Helen all the way... well done you King of the Helenites you!... lol!... cheers (part 2).

Can I be a honorary Australian then Mr sticky because I love your version

...lol Lindsay!... I hereby dub thee an 'Honorary Australian-in-law' by the rite of recruitment of outstanding posters to the Behind Big Brother Forums!... your Certificate of Authenticity is in the post!... welcome to Australia Lindsay!... lol!... cheers.

...a further update to that poll that I showed earlier... there are definitely a lot of unhappy people in regards to the result... if BBUK comes back again next year there may only be a few thousand people bothering to watch it from these indications methinks!... cheers.

I'll be interested to see what the ratings are like for the celebrity version. Any pommies here who know what websites I need to look at to get the ratings?

Just realised... once again my favourite housemate has come in third place. Sometimes the one I like best does better (e.g. Camilla), or worse, but it's often this way. The best housemates usually do.

Gina, Tahan, Estelle, Sara, amongst many others... and now Christopher.
Ah! Mercy, I was thinking the exact same thing this morning whilst in the shower after watching Helen win. (Yes, the shower is always a practical place to think about stuff! :p)

I remember discussing the BB "third place curse" in a thread last year. It seems that the HM who is always either my favourite or is a universally popular HM to win a series always ends up coming third. It's odd but it's happened soooo many times over the years, especially in BBAU, and it usually ends up being the eviction that "shocks" the most because you don't expect that particular HM to leave at that point - and Christopher indeed fell into that trap.

yay thanks Mr Sticky :singing::D:)

And they are still rubbing our faces in it on FB..just about every comment is disgusted, vile woman...my comment was "The money will go,her looks will go and all that will be left is a miserable old woman yelling at dogs and kids to get off her lawn..wont be long now"

P.S. I'll never watch another BBUK again in my life, lol.

I always had this image of BBUK as "the best BB in the world" but I can now proudly admit that BBAU is definitely definitely the best BB ever.
And it truly was - BBUK at it's best was absolute untouchable, but even before it went completely shit that kind of meant the bad series were fairly bad. The likes of BBUSA and BB Australia are much more stable really - they've never enjoyed the creative highs of BBUK, but never really fallen to the lows either.

I've not really watched BBUK since it moved to C5 (for me as a massive fan C4 axed it at the right time) and think it's just getting worse and worse with every series. It's no longer BB for me - for all it's faults at least BB Australia very much still feels like the Big Brother of old, but I really don't recognise the show that C5 air under the BB brand.

Can't remember whehter you're a long time BBUK watcher or a newbie to it Theorist but though I wouldn't recommend the current BBUK to anybody it's still worth tracking down earlier series. If you really like the old stuff go from the beginning, but for the show at it's creative peak you're looking at BB5-7, wtih Celeb BB3 & 4 also worth a watch. I'd personally recommend BB9 and BB11 too - the final series on C4 gave the show a much needed revamp a couple of years too late really and it would have been interesting to see how that might have developed had the show saved itself from the axe on C4.

@Brekkie wasn't wrong when they said the BBUK Finales are crap. Seriously bad. The BBAU Finales are like an Olympic Games Opening Ceremony compared to that.

Also, something else that sorta upset me when watching the Finale (and which furthers my surprise about the difference in cultures between AU and UK) is the fact that I was quite disappointed with the crowd. I mean, boo-ing the HM's is something I've come to live with when watching BBUK and, I must admit, there were times this season when I actually thrived on watching particular HM's getting boo-ed, however it just seemed so wrong during the Finale. Maybe I am still just accustomed to the BBAU version, but I just felt really disheartened by the fact that even in a Finale, the crowd was still boo-ing and chanting "Get ______ Out!" right to the end. I just felt like they all should have been cheered for making it that far to begin with!

Oh well.
The crowd are disgusting and morons. On this occassion though I do hope they booed the winner.

Finales are just crap and sadly that's not a problem new to C5. For BB1-BB3 they really were big events. BB4 was a bit flat but they still had the time they needed to do it justice, while BB5 & BB6 still had two hour shows to evict 4 housemates compared to the 1 hour on standard eviction nights. BB7 was the first they had six finalists for and nobody thought is was a good idea - they cut down to 5 a couple of years later but apart from the fantastic last ever episode for Ultimate Big Brother (where C4 gave the entire night over to BB from 7.30-11.30) they were a case of get them out as quick as possible. And then since it moved to C5 they've just given the finale night pretty much the same slot as a regular eviction, leaving 5 or 6 to be evicted in the time they normally dedicate to one person being evicted.

Can we get Emma to host BBAU?

She

- Isn't patronising
- Is quick witted
- Can carry a conversation that isn't on an autocue
- Has a sense of humour
- Isn't afraid to ask housemates the questions we want to ask

Thanks.

She's better than Sonia for sure and way better than the awful Brian was - but sadly for her the show she's associated with now means she'll never be seen in the same league as Davina. If she really is a big a fan as she says she is she wouldn't have anything to do with the so called "twists" dreamt up by the incompetent fools running the show.

Thanks Brekkie. I appreciate your response. I know you are an avid BBUK fan, much like most of us on this side of the world are with BBAU.

If I ever have time, I will definitely go back and watch one of the series you've mentioned. I am definitely interested in seeing what the "good" BBUK was like. I'll probably one day watch the season with that Nikki I've seen so much of...:p

I think my favourite moment of the whole finale was when they chanted Ashleigh whilst Helen was doing her interview with Emma...

Ashleigh forever and always stealing the limelight from Hellen <33
