2014 Ratings Thread

Sooner then later this years bb show may not do so well. Watch this space. It may be interesting house design but they have choosing a group of clowns who acts. And also interesting how all the fellow housemates on monday gala non of them looked apear to look shyness or intimated at all.. almost as if they knew how to feel comfortable infront of the audience and cameras for a very long time. I think there is something night realistic about this show... Something tells me there is something more to it then we should ever know. Im not suprise.

Tuesday, 9th September 2014 - Live Show: The Storm Has Arrived

Overnight viewers: 924,000
Ranked in total people: 7

Demographics:
#2 in all demos.

All this storms and what not seems quite childish don't you think ? is it me getting old or the show is getting imaturity. Seriously i think i will have a plan to sneck into big brother by midnight aventually and do..

Quick question - do viewing on the Jump In site count towards official ratings?

I've noticed they're now not putting up episodes on Jump In until well after they aired.

Last year episodes appeared literally as soon as they finished on 9.

In the "Ranked Chart"

Regarding the consolidate rankings from last year - in both cases the final ranked position for BB was the same as the overnight ranking ie adding the consolidated in didn't change the ranking of the show - 4th and 7th

I looks like the graph however is showing BB's rank in a list of shows that got extra viewers ranked by the number of extra viewers rather than the final total which is what you would want. So on the Tuesday for example 8 other shows got more consolidated viewers than BB but it still ended up in 7th place overall.

They are trialling counting it. Currently 15% of the survey.

In terms of online viewing; this is from the OzTam website:
What are OzTAM's plans for TV viewing on devices other than the conventional TV?
OzTAM is currently in the implementation phase of metering desktop and laptop PCs (Windows/Mac) as well as television sets within panel homes to capture viewing of TV broadcast-related content. OzTAM is also developing processing systems and options for future reporting. As at July 2013, approximately 15 per cent of OzTAM panel homes had both their in-home TVs and PCs metered. The PC meters capture viewing via the PC of TV broadcast-related content, such as catch-up TV or TV streamed live via an internet connection or a tuner card.

I'm also wondering how FreeViewPlus is going to factor into all this (albeit it's on very limited TVs right now)

Another strong showing which would tick all the boxes for Nine. Easy time slot win, easy time slot win in all key demos, and Nine won the night easily.

Yeah, it looks like Big Brother airing at 8:40, paired with the block is going to be a winning combination for them. If people aren't turned off by the blatant editing bias, and these figures continue, you can expect to see a renewal for 2015. What other channel airs a show that will pull in these sorts of figures after 8:30?
