The Fitbit Cult

I might get one if I get money for Christmas/birthday. Are they a watch as well? as both wrists are occupied with a watch and some Pandoras. I do have a Polar heart rate monitor watch which I use purely as a watch. No idea where the part that goes around my upper torso is anyway.

There is a new model that is a watch, it seems to have some cool features. The one I use is quite basic - maybe the flex? It has no time piece on it at all. The garmin vivofit has a watch though.

Part of the reason I don't wear mine on my wrist is due to my wrists being occupied. A rubber strap really doesn't go well.

I also have my HRM which I wear to work out. In those those times I wear my fitbit in my pocket too. I really struggle to exercise without the HRM.

Geeza Lou! I must find mine and get moving. Similar sorts of occupation? :)

Mine goes in my pocket, I found it really uncomfortable on my wrist. I don't always remember to take it though.

I can't wear it at work for infection control, but after wearing if for a weekend, I end up with an itchy rash (like I got with a watch previously). It stays in my pocket during the week. I hate having sensitive skin

Yep infection control... I know all about that now :)
Once I get a job in health I'll have to keep mine in my pocket.

One, two, three - back to me.

Day one a great success, walked 13569 steps, did yoga for 20mins and only ate 6 pieces of chocolate after dinner.

I have to keep chanting to myself "it takes two weeks to create a habit..."

I HAVE to look half decent in my togs for my first swim!

I MUST!!!

My advice, not that you asked, don't wait for xmas money. Do it for yourself.

There are all different types, @bleachy_dude could help you with that smorgasbord, but I just use the Fitbit.

Being a nurse we have to be 'bare below the elbows'. I keep it in my pocket and sync after work.

I have a huge selection of bands that I wear. My favourite at the moment is a black and white polka dot. For safety's sake I prefer it in my wrist, but so far it has remained safe in my pocket. The actual motor thingy is only 2cm x 0.4cm, so it is loosable size.

When it comes to Christmas money I always struggle to come up with things to get, so having something in mind is handy. I've yet to finish spending last year's Woolworth's voucher. I keep forgetting I have it.

There are a range of fitbit's and alternative branded similar products. Some have a watch face, others don't. Some have heart rate monitors, others don't etc. It all depends on what you want with it and what your budget is @Khun Khun

Mine has carked it I think. The symbol just goes round & round trying to connect, but only registers a few hundred steps a day.

I don't really need it anymore anyway. I know my daily walk is between 7000-8000 steps, and with just everyday everything else I'm going over the 10,000 easily.

Well done. I've been quite unmotivated lately.

Now that I have been fat shamed on the forum, perhaps it's time to get back into it!

Thanks.

Blah at fat shaming, you have no one to answer to but yourself. Do whatever makes you feel good.
My dog had an operation (torn ACL) so she hasn't been able to walk. I enjoy walking more if I take her, so soon she should be able to go for walks again properly. :)

Hope you both get back into it soon.

I saw something cool today - a lady had 3 leashes in one, walking 3 very different dogs, kind of pulling her in all directions, but it looked like fun.

Haha. I wonder if she is a dog walker or it was her own pets.

My one dog manages to pull me in all sorts of directions :p

I once saw a lady with like seven dogs out walking.

Damn it! I had bought a spare charger on eBay. Do you think I can find either when I want it?!?

Looks like no Fitbit for me tomorrow.
