Sorry to butt in, but I must take issue with your usage of the word 'inappropriate'. If something is inappropriate, it must be inappropriate to a particular place, situation etc. For example, clothing that is appropriate to a pool party would be inappropriate at a wedding. Conversation that is appropriate at a cocktail party might be inappropriate to the workplace.

If his views on racism are not appropriate to something in particular, then maybe 'inappropriate' is not the word you need. Maybe you find his views on racism offensive, or nonsensical, or some other thing. In any case, in this sentence, you have not used the word 'inappropriate', appropriately.

So I'm guessing Big Brother told the new neighbours how long they're going to be locked away, since during Travis' "Diary Room" chat after mentioning the irony of being locked away with Cat and Leo after nominating them last week he said "I'm looking forward to the next three days, and what it's going to bring".

This entire pointless exercise has became even more pointless with this revelation, since if they start to go insane they just have to tell themselves "It's only for another 24 hours until I'm free" and the psychological games won't come into play.

why did no one in the pool bring up that comment of dave's in all the discussion of what went on in the pool? i feel like it's a case of if a woman brings it up then that's just confirming their sexist bullshit and so maybe that's why priya didn't raise it, despite expressing feeling 'ganged up on' which that comment would have totally contributed to given the four dudes and one woman present situation. i understand it's a joke and it would've been taken as one if she was included but the way david addressed the comment to the other men there, was what made it gross, completely invalidates not only priya's feelings and contribution to the discussion but invalidates her as a person because she's a woman. i'm starting to think david really is sexist? or is willing to employ sexist attitudes strategically to humiliate women in the house and to feel more powerful, which is deplorable.

AND THEN the casual racism on top of it goddd sometimes i can't believe the bullshit that comes out of his mouth like, for such a smart guy he's really DUMB you know?

I was so trying to root for David; he's an underdog, he's misunderstood by the dipshit housemates, and he's really intelligent. I love those things about him. But seeing the way he went after Priya to impress the blokes really put me off him. If Priya is 'talking back' when you throw jokes her way, how the FUCK is that a problem? All I saw in that scene was four men ganging up on her to put her in her place, and her standing up for herself, then copping shit for standing up for herself.

I spent money voting for David, and I really hoped that he and Priya would team up to be a powerhouse duo. I may've even entertained thoughts of her moulding him into a better man, a man that understands why saying certain things is insidiously sexist and shouldn't be tolerated. Instead, he mocks her, he makes dumb comments about gender and race, then he broods when she pulls him aside to have her say and smooth things over.

David is so disappointing.
