2014 Ratings Thread

The ratings aren't plummeting though. This Thursday's overnight ratings between 9 and Go = 444k. Last week 405k. Both nights had a special Grand Final footy show to deal with and yet they still improved.
The last three weekly averages for the show have been declining though, "plummeting" may be a bit of an over exaggeration sure, but this is the worst rating season of Big Brother Aus history. I hope it takes the Block's timeslot and then we'll see an increase, but history shows that as season's wear on ratings don't have a huge increase until the final week.

How is BB doing though compared to the shows Nine were airing at 8.40pm before it returned. They should make it's later slot a selling point, not a problem, and unashamedly make it the more adult reality show with the content that reflects that.

What were the ratings for Friday night, or are they too embarrassing to show? They werent on tvtonight yet.

Thanks maggot007. Where did you find those, I did a Google search and couldnt find them. It doesn't look good though, no football last night, was there?

TV Tonight and yeah no football last night either.

They must have been late putting them up today then, because I checked just before 10 a.m. and they werent there.
Was it on Go! In some states last night?

It was mostly on NO GO :-). Its a shame, because they are stuffing up whats still a good concept for a reality programme. I can't understand why we only get 30 minutes on Friday night either, its not as though they dont have any spare footage.

Week 1 Friday overnights: 322k

Week 2: 252k

Week 3: 294k

Week 4: 449k

Even better, this week Monday, Wednesday, Thursday overnights have all improved over the previous week.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the three previous Friday episodes were split across Channel 9 and GO. This was the first Friday episode to be on 9 in all states, which probably explains the increase in viewers.

Last nights results were still pretty poor for an half hour show - considering it came last in it's timeslot.

The numbers I posted are from both 9 and Go the first three weeks.

Yep thats exactly right, last night was the first time the show aired on Nine in all states. So the increase in viewers was expected and it still didnt increase that much. Lets face it people are turning off the show this year due to Nine's disgusting treatment of it. They probably only brought the show back to fulfill their three year contract.

I posted the numbers because there was discussion in here if footy would really make that much of a difference to BB's Friday night numbers.

Last Friday's 9 numbers: 230k for Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth
GO 64k for Sydney and Brisbane

This week's numbers for Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth = 222k
Sydney and Brisbane = 227k

160k viewers in Sydney and Brisbane didn't just suddenly decide to tune into BB this week because it moved from GO to 9. This was the first night it didn't have footy to compete with.
