Oh wow, I forgot about that, woohoo if we do get another 5am episode. I believe ABC are going to try it for a bit, and well it broke records last week.

Beats the shit out of waiting. And on Saturday I can watch it again on TV "live" so to speak :)
 
Have we decided to post spoilers in here yet?

yes and no. The new companion is called Clara and she comes in about half way through the season. The actress who played the dalek girl tonight and the actress who will play Clara is the same person. Jenna Louise Coleman I think her name is. How they explain it, or if the even try to explain it remains to be seen
 
I think we agreed spoilers are ok after we've watched it on iview or whatever (say, midday Sunday), & those who watch it a week later might want to stay away until then? Unless anyone disagrees, I don't mind either way.

Oswin was way cool........Why couldn't we have had her on the Tardis as the "human" Dalek companion... Human in a Dalek body, as she still had all her faculties and was super smart...

What gave it away for me was the room Oswin was in. It was a small dome room and I thought " ah...... inside the dome of a Dalek...

Oh and yes the same actress will change character I think to be the companion in this series.

She would look like a Dalek to everyone else though, it kind of limits the fun adventures she could have :p
 
I'm loving that there's a doctor who thread that's been going for 5 years! I'm tempted to read it from the begining when I have the time.

Regarding Solomon....
The bit about the rape was so obvious.... I was actually a little shocked when that line came out. DID NOT EXPECT THAT in Dr Who of all things.

Howcome Neffertiti isn't returned back to her own timeline?

All in all a good episode with fun and a few dark moments too. Amy playing "the Doctor" was cute.

Loved Rory's dad sitting in the TARDIS door watching the Earth while having a cuppa. How bloody cool was that?
