Day 13

Footage from the Sunday eviction show.

Layla is worried her kiss with George last night will backfire while she’s nominated. She tells Angie she’s not sure if the kiss will be a one off.

In the kitchen Benjamin asks if it’s wrong he finds that Layla and Angie drive him insane. Sarah says no she can’t stand the two of them either. She explains when Zoe first entered the house she had the biggest crush on George, and now she doesn’t (because Layla walked in, Benjamin finishes the sentence). Layla knew this is how it was but didn’t care about Zoe’s intentions.

Ben: “I kinda feel like they’re the witches of Eastwick trying to latch onto these boys anyway they can”.

Later it’s family dinner time and Bradley brings up the topic of alliances in the house. He’s talking about the “original crew” who came in on the first night (him and Josh) and how they have a slight rift with the others who came later. He rubs Ben on the shoulder and says “we just don’t like them as much as the others”.

It seems to be a joke but Ben reacts instantly by throwing a whole glass of water in Bradley’s face. They both smile at each other and Ben says “I don’t know how much I can take”. Bradley responds with “that’s commitment to a joke”. The other housemates don’t really know what to say. Angie says Ben’s actions weren’t being a joke. Bradley laughs it off.

It’s later in the night, Benjamin asks Bradley “are you not speaking to me?”.

“Oh, no I wasn’t sure if you were speaking to me”.

“I think, to be honest, like I’ve watched in lots of situations of the moment where you’re being rude to people and it’s really bothering me. I sincerely apologise for throwing a glass of water in your face because I didn’t do it to be funny Bradley I did it because I was upset. And it’s like I honestly believe in lots of way the other housemates are provoking you to be a way that you aren’t truly are. I do. You now think it’s funny to be rude to people and it’s not. When I first met you you weren’t like this. I just hope that you stop being so… I don’t know. Unaware of other people’s feelings. Like I just watch you doing it to people all the time and I’m like why are you being so unaware. Like did you think I would not be upset when you said that at the table?”

“It was a joke”

“Yeah I know it’s a joke but how … it’s not my job to teach you this but how are you supposed to work out what the difference between a joke is and what’s actually hurting some one’s feelings. Like how are you supposed to work that out, if you can’t work out what’s a joke and what’s not that seems really weird to me.”

Bradley is shocked. He responds with “okay… I’ll take that onboard”.

Benjamin walks away, leaving Bradley in silence.

Channel Nine shuffles BB schedule

Removes BB content from GO!

Big Brother 2012 eye

Big Brother 2012 eyeUpdate: The axing of the Sunday daily show is effective immediately, not from 2 September as previously reported.

The weekly schedule for Big Brother has been shuffled by Channel Nine after the very average ratings for ‘Big Brother Confidential’.

  • Big Brother Confidential has been moved to 8pm Thursdays. It will initially air for 30 minutes but our sources say Nine will consider extending it to 60 minutes if it performs well.
  • The Sunday night daily show on GO! has been cancelled completely. Footage from Friday and Saturday will now be shown during the eviction on Sunday. This change will begin from Sunday 2 September immediately.
  • Daily shows will be permanently extended to 60 minutes on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays (unless ratings significantly decline).
  • No daily show on Saturday.

The Big Brother schedule still includes a giant gap for MA content, as no shows screen late enough to include nudity or adult themes. Be sure to join our email campaign to Bring Back Uplate. We’ve already sent more than 600 emails to Channel Nine on behalf of fans who want Uplate returned.

As part of their agreement with the production company, Channel Nine have bought a certain number of ‘Big Brother hours’ which they can use as they see fit. Here’s how the schedule is looking over the next week:

Sunday: Daily Show 6pm on GO! (30 mins) and eviction on Nine (60 mins).
Monday: Nominations show (90 mins)
Tuesday: Daily show (60 mins)
Wednesday: Daily show (60 mins)
Thursday: Daily show (60 mins) then BB Confidential (30 mins)
Friday: Daily show (30 mins)

Day 12

Footage from the Sunday eviction show.

6.14pm – Ryan has been called to the diary room as a distraction while the other housemates all scrambled to get dressed up for his surprise birthday party. Big Brother tells Ryan to put a suit and get ready – there’s a lit dressing table in the diary room. The theme for the party is “glamor”, the girls must dress as Hollywood starlets and the boys are paparazzi. Ryan dresses as himself.

In the kitchen the housemates find Ryan’s cake – it has a shirtless photo of Ryan on the top. “That’s exactly what he would love”. Ryan starts to leave the diary room with his shirt and suit jacket open, and Big Brother reminds him “don’t forget to strut”.

He enters the backyard and is met with cheers and party poppers. Bradley the paparazzo asks “Ryan are the rumours about you and Estelle true?”, the two of them pose for a photograph. There’s a group photo.

The housemates have noticed Layla has been paying a lot of attention to George. Zoe also likes him, and said to Angie:

Zoe: “and I said if you’re keen as she is then it’s on like Donkey-Kong and he gave me a big smile and is like yesss”

Layla asks what are they talking about, “nothing”. Layla replies “oh, so it’s about me?”

9.07pm – The housemates are gathered in the living room and are shown Ryan’s “portfolio” on the plasma. It’s all shots of him shirtless. Stacey says “were you eating carbs then Ryan? I see a bit of a crease up the… you know, just saying you could be a bit skinner babes”. The housemate all holler at the shirtless photos. Benjamin looks very impressed. Michael asks Ryan to reenact one of the poses from the photo. He flops down on the ground and gives a sleazy look. Michael then asks Ryan to do a surprised Zoolander look in the mirror. The housemates “oooo”.

George: “he looked right in my soul”

9.42pm – In the bathroom the girls are gossiping and Layla tells Angie she can’t believe her and Zoe were talking about her earlier. Angie explains what the situation is and Layla doesn’t look all that impressed. Benjamin, who is now wearing a dress asks what is going on but the girls tell him not to worry.

Ben: “why don’t I get to know? I’m a woman now!”

12.37am – In the bedroom Michael tells George to go spoon Layla, all the housemates laugh. Layla goes and joins George under their doona. The lights go down. In the dark the two start kissing. They then spoon and George kisses Layla’s neck.
