What's that area between bedroom 3 and the kitchen?

Is that stairs? Do they have a fire- escape, would have???

And what's on the roof?

That would be the stairs/fire escape, the ones they show them walking up and down all the time.

RE the laundry, I can see now why the judges didn't like the idea of Mady and Jarrad's laundry being where the bar/study is but where would you put it?

Is the terrace going to be enclosed, or is it open air? If it's enclosed, then that could be another living area. I know the top floor couple are going to have their dining room there.

kxk, I think the roof is going to be a communal garden area.
 
The terrace is going to be enclosed apparently. It will probably be able to be opened in summer... maybe those shutter type things. I hope it's enclosed enough to use it as an extra living room even when it's colder - the apartment really needs it!

Eliza, I asked the same question about the laundry - it's part of this week - will be a European one in the bathroom next to the lift.
 
Guess the maid will have to take the laundry to a Laundromat - or they should put in laundries on the bottom floor, and shoots you chuck it all down.

I find the camera work really shitty and confusing on the Block, they talk about something like a wall or a feature, blocking stuff - but they never give a view where you can judge for yourself.

House Rules I find much easier to follow and view the rooms.

Have you moved into your apartment yet Eliza? If not when do you move? Would love my own apartment in a few years when the house DJ is properly grown up.
 
My apartment will be ready late November.

She'll, my place has a European Laundry it's going to take a bit of getting used too.
 
I have a full sized laundry in my apartment (you can come in via the back door, through the laundry) and I almost think I'd rather a European one lol.... I have this massive space for just a machine and a tub! Would much rather my spare bedroom be a bit bigger!

I went to High School with Kim (same year) and my wife tells me Matt was there as well but a few years older.

Anyway Im not saying she was a bitch but I really hope she makes a total ass of herself LOL.

Anyway I'm watching the show for Bec. She is a stunner and I hope her and what's his face win.
 
I'm really getting sick of Maddie and her constant whinging as well as the whole seeing Family every week drama. Previous contestants saw their families maybe once or twice throughout the season however this series, it seems like it's breaking point for everyone until they see their families. the twins have even flown home a couple of times already.

Loved the prank made by Kim and Lysandra tonight on Maddie and Jarrod though...Hilarious! (As well as Keith's little prank..)
 
I don't have a problem with the contestants seeing their families as long as we don't have to see too much of it.

And yes tonights show was hilarious the Maddy/Jarrad prank made me pmsl and feel awkward all at the same time. The twins are so entertaining and I still like their design taste.

Looking forward to Sunday' reveal.

Yeah, I feel as though we have seen too much of it though. Every week it seems like a whole episode is the contestants crying about not seeing their families. Just seems to be losing focus on the actual reno. Perhaps im just being a whinge myself. haha

Agree about the Twins, they are the perfect couple for me...VERY Entertaining and dominating in the competition.
 
I thought the whole tent in the park thing was AWFUL! Well funny to watch, but if they did it to me I would be so pissed! Not so much the sleeping in a tent part, but the waking up every hour to make noises!!! (so essentially no sleep), and the fact you missed out on doing work late into the night, as they were in the tent quite early (8 or 9pm?).

Yeah it was the animal noises every hour that probably just took it that little bit too far because it meant they'd be sleep deprived. I'm guessing there was a reason they decided to prank Maddy and Jarrad, maybe they are really irritating to the contestants but we don't get to see a lot of it. Maddy does do a fair bit of whinging but then so would I if I was tired and living in a building site.

Yes, last week there was a little too much family time shown for sure.

On our way home from town today we cruised by the Block. It's all finished and looking very swank. I even took some pictures! I was very embarrassed to be such an ogling tourist in my own city!

I'm happy to put up the photos, but some forum members might like to wait to see the end result on the show. If noone objects, I can put them up tomorrow. They're not very good! I took them on my phone.
