Sorry if it seemed like I was having a go at anyone….maybe my language was a bit strong (a habit of mine). I was just trying to provide balance, as I felt the recent attack on Ed's relationship was wrong.

I also don't see this as an exclusive forum. You guys post regularly in a public forum. It is not an exclusive chat. It is there for others to get enjoyment ( or otherwise from reading). A bit like being on BB…you sign up, you post, you can be criticised. Thanks for having me….now I have work I must do. However, now I have started posting I may be back. Although I have lost all interest in this year's BB without the live feeds…just can't get to know the housemates. Have given up watching most nights.

Welcome. For the record I thought your introductory comment was just fine. Always intrigued to hear fresh viewpoints and especially from people who have insider viewpoints. I lurked for a year before I posted so long time lurking seems fine to me also. Again, welcome!

ETA oh and by the way I couldn't stand Ed on the show. But his tweets show humour so my opinion has turned. Amazing because I really couldn't STAND him!!

Have to say, I didn't read Tex19's comment in the same way. Your reply came off as just a smidge harsh, not that there is anything wrong with that. Like you say, it's a forum and stuff happens.

For mine there's an element of hypocrisy that permeates the thread which I can't lie, irks me something fierce. Ed has copped his (un)fair amount of whacks and all is well good because let's face it there are just a handful of genuine Ed fans (no, I don't count) who post here and their feelings and opinion on the matter aren't deemed to be worthy of respect/value.

So ridicule/mocking of Ed becomes a free for all basically, with 'criticism' of his 'bad' behaviour often devolving into a trollfest. Not that there's anything wrong with that as I'm also partial to ripping new arseholes into current/past hms, something that I'm well known for in this forum. ;)

However if anyone dares to mention some of the of more popular hms (read: hms who have fans numbering in the double digits in this thread) in the slightest unflattering light, ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE. :D

That is music to my ears. :headphone: Too bad that in reality it doesn't apply to every housemate equally. Paraphrasing Animal Farm, 'some housemates are more equal than others'.
