I like the fact that she's being 'less intelligent' then. She doesn't need to disclose her personal business, not even to Tim. That money was meant to be no strings attached and she's taken Tim at his word.
And that's fair enough. I'm just saying that there may have been a more intelligent way to approach it which wouldn't make it look like she's pocketed $400 for herself. If Tahan doesn't care about copping that criticism then good for her, but I don't think she needed to cop it.
