Mindy - lucky not to be in the bottom with that icky chocolate dipped bacon with some green sludge, thought one of the others wasn't as icky.
I don't really think that one merits an elimination, how many home cooks look at food this weird way.
I love Julia - the tall blonde, she's cool and refuses to bend to creepy George's constant stupidity.

Oh dear. Masterchef gone done a boo boo.

And they changed it tonight -no mention of training Zumbo.

The adds for all stars look kind of fun, 3 teams, from the 3 years.

I wondered what happened to the "the pastry chef who trained Zumbo" reference. It was in the ads but not in the show. I also wondered if they'd have a falling out with Adriano because they described Gadan as the NEW pattisierre of pain or some such thing. It made it sound like Zumbo was out and Gadan was in.

As far as tonights results..yay at last!! I was a bit surprised by Beau's effort. Nailed it. Maybe we have a surprising late contender there. Anyone noticed how Mindy always calls him Beau-zo..lol

Yes I noticed they call him Beau-zo and Beau-ie and other variations of that, he seems to be very popular amongst the others. Good on him for stepping up tonight. I thought it was a bit harsh the way the judges said he's separated himself from the ordinaryness of Ben and Andy now, though. Even if it's true, they are not the only ordinary cooks left.

So relieved at the result. It would be a shocker if Amina went based on such a random challenge.

Did anyone notice they didn't show too much of the comments about Amina's desert, it did look shocking and really Andrew's probably was better but they weren't about to give Amina the flick.

Yeah, what we saw of Amina's didn't look great. We can only assume it tasted better than Andrew's, or call shenanigans. But if they were determined not to let Amina go, why put her in the bottom 3 at all?

From Vincent's website, the Parfum de Femme is only $11 it must be tiny.

Gee Amina's weaknesses really exposed, she's got no plating/styling ability, little imagination/artyness.....so unless that delicate side develops quickly she will be the shock elimination at some point. But I'm hoping it's going to be Mindy.
It's looking like this MC winner could be somebody who creeps up the ranks by surprise a little, I reckon Mindy and Audra peaked too early, what they are doing now is kind of boring, asian fusion.....la de da.....

I was very impressed with Beau's effort last night. For the self-confessed "man's man" to have the most delicate plating was impressive.

I did lol @ "I put off being a firefighter for this", though.

I think Beau might be a bit of a dark horse.

I looked at that dessert last night and even though I could see the skill involved in making it, my first thought was WTF is that! It didn't (and still doesn't) appeal to me at all. I have no clue why there was something that looked like seaweed in the background (the green toffee stuff) or why that zebra striped chocolate was there. I just can't see what any of that has to do with a purfume bottle..and a gaudy looking perfume bottle at that. I think that if a contestant instead of a master pattisierre put that up in front of the judges they'd be asking what the hell is this and commenting that it doesn't make sense. At least it didn't to me.

Bit surprised by tonight's result. The cynic in me wonders if it's damage control, ie. everyone says the amateur never wins against the chef, we'd better let one through, but say that it was because the chef helped them...

Just by looking at them I thought Kylie's looked better. I'd like to see a contestant plate up a piece of bloody steak (as in blood running all over the plate) with some sauce and nothing else on a plate. I wonder what they'd say about no accompaniment if it wasn't coming from a Michelin chef.

Anyone else notice George was wearing an ear bud tonight? I wonder why. It's not like it was live tv or anything.

Yes, it did win, although George said it wasn't enough food for a main course. He'd want two servings.
