Wade - Bert because of the eyebrows?
Alice - obvious
Frank Spencer - Ben, clumsy and inept looking
Andy - Andy

I don't think they are ever going to address the Amina immunity thing because to them it isn't a thing. They set it up to be team driven affort and that's that. If you remember when Amina had her own immunity challenge she lost, so it is not right to say oh Amina deserved the pin, she had a chance and blew it. She should not have tried so hard for all the others.

I knew someone somwehere would be ragging on her weight or her head dress :( Having said that though, her weight is probably not conducive to running a busy restaurant.

Yeah I noticed that last night, Deb went to hug her and Kylie actually pushed her away, I stopped and rewound it a couple of times to double check.

LOL, we spotted it too and did the rewind thing. At the start of that scene she turns around to the group and they're all hugging each other and she's just standing alone in the middle of the group like a spare cog, then they cut to the pushing away thing next scene so I don't think it was there by accident. I had the distinct impression that the editors wanted us to see that because I'm sure there would have been plenty of other footage to put in there instead.

I agree it was absolutely put there on purpose to continue with casting Deb as the villain. I'd love to get the inside goss on what they all really think about each other.

Some fool @ TV Tonight thinks wardrobe is supplying Alice her glasses and clothes to everyone because no one has 'that many clothes'. They wear the same flipping clothes all the time!! I do despair, I really do.

Alice has so many pairs of glasses. She must keep SpecSavers in business unless they are hipster glasses with glass.

Those pies Gary made tonight *drooooooooool* I really want to have a bash at making them.

I'm not even slightly tempted by Matt Moran's white chocolate cauliflower goop, but I'd try Gary's pies.

From memory when they showed an old photo of Alice at her uni graduation she was wearing normal glasses so I think they are real not hipster. You can buy prescription specs really cheap online these days and yeah places like Specsavers are bargain buster prices.

On the subject of Alice's glasses (don't get me started really) But they are def real prescription you can see the lense graduates like a prescription. I am traumatised ( I have been wearing contacts for 17 years now) because when I was a teenager I went through a couple of year phases where I had frames like that....eww double eww. They were probably fashionable back in the early 90's but really they need to never be fashionable again!!!! Really...whose cheeks need to be able to see?

I'm confused as to why anyone would want to make cauliflower into a dessert. I mean really..wtf?? Why?

edit to add..re alice's glasses, I wonder if she wears them to draw attention away from her quite bad skin.

Well Wynter I'm not sure she's doing her face any favours as the lenses of her glasses magnify at least half the skin coverage on her face!!

They probably give her pimples, it's like a little sauna under there. Had big red glasses in the 80s horrible - they get all gunky, and vision isn't as good either, the bigger the lense the more distortion.
Did we get worst/best dishes last night? They never finish in time for Downton.

Alice's squid ink poop was "best", they also liked Deb's meatballs.

Andy & Kylie's offal was bloody offal but I don't think there was a penalty for it.

Pretty sure Mrs Menopause was annoying the sh*t out of Ben during the challenge, when asked by the judges how they went as a team he did well to package his statement so diplomatically. I think he said she had tunnel vision but I think what he meant was she was stubborn and inflexible.

She's not a team player, is she! She seems to think that whenever she's working with someone else, that person is her assistant, not her equal. I think the only reason they didn't argue was because Ben let her do what she wanted to do. You're right, he was very diplomatic. She said they had no issues but that was because Ben did what he was told. I think she was a bit shocked when he made his comment about her having tunnel vision.

He was so funny when he said it too because you could see how hard he was struggling to find the 'right' words and still come off as polite.

I don't care how great the chef is, offal is best left inside the flipping animal! Don't get the love for squid ink stuff either.

Random tidbit - foie gras (which the MC's all love so much) has been banned in California due to the cruelty.

That was the moment of the night.

Matt: So guys, how did you get on today?
Deb: Yeah really good!
Ben: (insert trying very hard to be polite speech here)
Deb:

It's totally what you said. She's the head chef and Ben is her kitchenhand. Which really is quite insulting to Ben, no matter what you think of him or his cooking skills, they're both contestants in the same competition.

It was the same with Amina when they were picking out the furniture.

Amina "How bout this?"
Deb: "No! I'm looking for....." (never actually saying what she wanted)
Amina "This is nice, let's get this"
Deb "NO AMINA! Here, just carry this!"

It's a bit off how the chefs are always going on and on about respecting the animal and not wasting it and being humane with dispatching seafood blah blah and then they rave about foie gras. They don't seem to worry too much about the force fed geese, just so long as it tastes good.

Was there a bbq challenge last week? Apparently it was filmed at my cousin's house but I don't watch it so didn't know. What night?
