I saw it too. I loved it but had only heard a little bit so alot of the story was a surprise to me. I didn't mind Russell, and i agree with all the other characters. Helena and Sascha were fabulous and Samantha nearly stole to movie for me. Was very easy to follow even with all the singing. Deserving of Oscars for sure. and yes I cried

Very well done, not over dramatic, well at least I didnt think so, I read afterwards a survivor say it was "beautifully realistic", I think my first tear was shed 15 minutes into it, and my last was around 15 minutes after leaving the cinema, very well done, Im glad it was produced and directed by a Spanish crew so it wasn't "Hollywoodised" and its based on a true story, from what I have read quite close to the truth too, i recommend it, I would recommend on big screen too, because in its own way it is stunning, and I dont think there was one person walking out who didnt have red eyes.

Stars Steve Carrell and Kiera Knightley

A film with a very odd title. Not huge on budget, and not strictly a disaster film, nor it is a comedy either. Get past that and OMG this is such a cute, brilliant little film.......... Steve Carrell can act. It's not a proper comedy as such as I didn't find many "laugh out loud" moments but it certainly did entertain me. Loved it.
 
I haven't seen this, but it comes out in March and I can't wait!! Looks so cute and quirky!

I saw The Hobbit today. It was wonderful! It has me thinking the big questions, though. Would I rather be an elf or a dwarf? Elves are certainly beautiful, willowy and elegant; but, dwarves have much more fun.
 
There are unusually so many movies I want to see right now, I'm never going to catch them all.

It sucks, usually I have little choice.
My to watch - Silver Linings/Quartet/Barb Striesand thing - can wait for dvd/40s thing - dvd/Hobbit/Le Mis - too Mis, dvd.
Oh crap - Impossible, too many good ones all at once for ADULTS what the hell is going on:)

All the war ones and intense stuff can go to dvd like Argo, that stuff is too much for me these days unless it's in controllable bits via dvd.

Just saw Silver Linings, loved it. De Niro is lovely in this. Everyone was great. And it's quite fascinating about bi-polar.
Jennifer Lawrence is a very appealing actor.
 
The new revamped kind of groovy SBS2 is showing some great stuff.

2 interesting movies you can watch on catch up, Grafitti Wars; and Exit Through the Gift Shop, both quite fascinating about graf world.
 
Oblivion was kinda meh. Not a bad movie by any means but there wasn't anything in it that hasn't been done better in other movies before. On a good note, the soundtrack by French outfit M8 is nice. For some inexplicable reason the director has a fetish for hiring French DJs to produce the soundtrack for his movies, may that long continue.
