Last movie you saw

I am keen to see this myself.......

Another Daniel Craig film I wish they would continue was The Golden Compass. It was supposed to be a trilogy till the catholic church protested and it caused a lot of controversy so the sequels were canned.

Gutless wonders

I think a bigger factor was the film not being overly successful. It was in the grey area of.. do they.. don't they. The Catholic Church complaining only had influence because it was in that state. If the film made more money, they'd have definitely made a sequel and not worried about the Church. When the reasoning and decision was coming down to thin monetary margins, such things are of more concern.

I enjoyed it though, and would have liked a sequel. I had some weird idea that we didn't actually see a completed film of what they filmed. That there was more after the ending. However due to budget reasons they decided to hold of doing the effects and use it as the opening for a sequel. I could be wrong though.

The books are good....... by Pillip Pullman. All I can say is you liked the film and want to know what happened next. Get the books

went to the movies 3 times this week. my daughter gives me 12 tickets a year on mothers day, saw
twilight. ...went with my youngest, didnt like it

Argo. great. and to think it was not fiction.

Skyfall 007. loved it.

I have only ever seen 1 whole Bond movie, because a date took me.....and bits, and I think I saw most of DanielCraig's first effort, I forget as I slept through bits.

Yeah I know Craig ones are Bourne like now, whatever.

So boring, so sexist, so stupid..........how the hell it kept chugging along forever....well of course male fantasies...........but most of it such crap, just as crap as Twilight

There have been so many shitty boy franchises, they have a cheek bugging girls for finally having their own fatntasy/escapist crap too.

Saw the last Twilight with my sis, a nice girly day we spent together having harmless entertainment/lunch/shopping.

I watched 'Frozen' tonight brilliant movie! 3 friends go on a skiing holiday and end up abandoned on a chairlift after dark alone. Wolves and everything, so scary.

How could you sleep through Casino Royal? That films awesome!! You've got to be the first person anywhere to call it boring.

Bond is awesome!

Although some of the films, I do wonder how they would have played at the time, some of the older ones are hilarious. Which is the charm of them now.

Hilarious in what way? Examples please?

Hilarious in you have to be a boy and Bond fan to not cringe at the cheesey lines they gave poor Sean Connery.

Even just watching bits I know the early ones are kind of like Elvis movies, lots of semi naked women, terrible scripts, handsome lead, and allways those clanger lines and the sexist stuff - so unintenionally funny except for Connery

Aren't they all semi comedy? The villians are hilarious.

Just watched the Da Vinci Code and what a disappointment compared to the book! The movie left out all of the good backstories about the symbols and so much of the twists and turns in the plot. What a waste of 3 hours.

Hey, have you read Foucault's Pendulum, by Umberto Eco???
If you liked DV Code, conspiracies behind conspiracies and such Eco is simply sublime, all his stuff is. I read summaries of DV Code

Eclipse I enjoyed it as a girls night out. Looking forward to Les miserable . Early reviews say its amazing

Well hilarious as you kind of have to just laugh at how corny some of the stuff is. How

Don't get me wrong, I love the bond films. I have the blu-ray box set. Before that I had them all on dvd.

But when Bond is fighting in the older films and does that spin flip, it's funny!
So much of the dialogue, is cheesy.

You can not tell me Sean Connerys japanese make up is not funny.

And thats from one of my favorite Bonds.

I still love them as good films, not comedies, not to make fun of them. But there's a goofy charm about a lot of them.

I have not heard of Umberto Eco's writings. Thank you for the recommendation! I will look into his works.

Eco also wrote Name of the Rose you might be more familiar with that there was a film made too.

And I finally got through Black Swan, hell I'm never watching another Aronofsky film I hate his stuff, this was the last straw.
He's obssesed with making people depressed. Thought there would be more of a spooky element to the story.

OH for sure......... I have all 20 original films and the first two of the Daniel Craig films....... I love the original movies because they were products of their time.

Phew! you finally made it all the way through.......... Now my earlier question. What did you think of that love scene that they got so much free publicity out of? For me it was just another love scene. I couldn't get past the hype.

Nothing about this movie was special, including the ho hum sex, I blinked and missed some. Natalie did a good job.
If I had known it was just about being crazy - again, I wouldn't have bothered.

I had the misconception there was going to be some cool supernatural stuff in this story.

Those old Elvis movies are awesome!

Sure i've never seen an whole one, or any of them for years except when they were midday movies and I was home from school. So the 90s. But they were amazing! There was one where he was a speedboat racer, and he sang a song about glue with dancing girls!
