Last movie you saw

Is this a joke post?

Alright don't get all geeky on me.. with such a geeky reply.

I don't know the whole history of everything, and certainly not the history of spiderman........ I thought he had always had the web powers as well as the wall climbing stuff....

So I didn't like the movie big deal. Love smart arse answers on the interwebs.

Tonight was "Snow White & The Huntsman"

I was pleasantly surprised. I quite liked it 6/10

Other movies I have seen include Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter and I quite enjoyed it. That got a 7/10 from me.

I don't care I loved it. 7/10

I don't care it was fun 7/10

I don't care it wasn't boring 7/10

Critics can go get fucked. They get paid to rant on movies.

For me that movie could have had him being bitten on his deathbed and continue fighting vampires into the present day.

I could get geeky....

I enjoyed the film. That's all that matters.

so did you go and look it up?

I did go and look it up..... But really I had no idea the only powers he had were being sticky on walls and super strength. I had always assumed he could spin his own webs too.

I honestly wouldn't have known if I hadn't of read about people complaining about the lack of web shooters in the first film. Then seeing the director say it seemed silly a high school student could invent such a thing.

I kind of agree here..... It would have seemed silly. But in the new movie not only does he invent them, but manages to get super specialist material from Oscorp as if it can be ordered by mail order. Or did he steal a whole bunch, which I find hard to believe.

Well strangely enough that's more believable than him getting bitten by a spider and getting super powers.

It's always funny how people often buy into the biggest unrealistic premise but then the lesser ones nit pick. We all do it.

Working my way through my new cheap DVD collection.
I'm struggling to get through Black Swan, watching it over a few nights because I find it weird and dull.

Hmmm, thanks I will avoid that now.

Still only about half way through Black Swan.

So question ......what is the most depressing movie you have ever seen???

Mine - Requiem for a Dream....that movie makes me depressed and angry.
I got soooo pissed off seeing it with a movie lover friend who thinks it is a masterpiece.

As I have drug addicts in my family, and have to deal with them in my work etc - this film really gave me the shits.

I'm sitting there, predicting oh he's gonna loose that arm later, oh look Mum's gonna get addicted, girls being set up for prostitution, robbery happens of course - mum's nuts, gross stuff happens to everyone - all cliche and lauded by dimwits with no life experience like my ex-friend (that was the beginning of the end of any movies she chose & her view on life was weird).

Should have known better, Black Swan same director.

So you haven't gotten to the "controversial" love scene yet...... What a load of hype over nothing?

No not there yet, and really struggling to get there, so far Natalie is pretty & good.
But he's a manipulative and conniving kind of director and I really dislike his work - to me he's junkyard misery - bordering on soap just chucking gross stuff about to be 'serious'..................he's trying to be Russian epic tragic, and is so far from it

an Art film called "skyfall"

Traditional Bond in all sorts of ways.

a must see.

Last live play I saw ?

"M Butterfly".

Not only did it have all sorts of stage nudity but also told quite a story including an interesting take on relatively recent history.

History that EMILY lister Fabian Socialist Julia Gillard and her band of merry totalitarian minded wastrels if not deliberate rorters etc seem either to be utterly unaware of or merely eager to repeat.

regarDS

Excellent movie but that last fight scene I just found a bit OTT.

The film was originally written with the role being a male. So that's part of the reason it's a bit over the top. It's one of those things, they have to make a female spy, secret agent or whatever tougher than everyone else. Instead of have her using her wits, and feminine charms as well as kicking arse.

It's be interesting to see a realistic film like that. Where she walks around whipping her top off to distract people. Offering to blow people to infiltrate and then shooting them.

I quite agree

Skyfall

Very good Bond film. I don't really want to say too much about what I liked the most about it. Definitely a bond film that when it ends, you want to go home and start working your way through the boxset of bond films.

I am keen to see this myself.......

Another Daniel Craig film I wish they would continue was The Golden Compass. It was supposed to be a trilogy till the catholic church protested and it caused a lot of controversy so the sequels were canned.

Gutless wonders
