Last movie you saw

I think you'll enjoy Wall E ds, it's a really good movie. Pixar have done it again.

Indeed they have, molloch. Just got back from seeing it out at Whitfords city (after a late steak lunch and pint of blonde at Hillarys Marina) with numba1son. Nice to go to a theatre which ISN'T enforcing set seating for a change (all the rage with Greater Union at the moment, who are also giving away Gold Class upgrades with ice-creams ... apparently the concept ain't doing so well over here in the West.)

Top movie and wouldn't mind seeing it again. Laughed much, and more than one tear was brought to the eye on more than one occasion.

Who woulda thunk I could be such a softy human type capable of Real Feelings, eh ?

It helps when machines are made to be so much more innocent and likeable than actual people. :)

Which reminds me. It's now been over eight years since I last was able to keep a cat as a pet. <sigh>

Hey what is "set seating"

If you buy online you can pick your seats, and if they aren't too busy at the counter you can do the same, otherwise they allocate you "set seating" based on whether you want front middle or back ... and even THOSE questions are relatively new.

LSCP and I were once allocated set seating to the middle back on the side in what was basically an empty theatre ! Obviously we didn't stay in those seats for long. Guess the person at the counter was having an off day or didn't like the look of LSCP. Heh.

Might be only Greater Union that is doing it.

Yup, all the seats are lettered/numbered ... and woe on anyone who sits in the wrong seats and the "rightful owners" come along.

Prolly another reason why G.U. is going downhill ATM.

Anyway, more on that delightful Wall-E movie.

My Mum and Dad went and saw it today and they loved it, they called as soon as they got home and raved about it.

god, allocated seating is a nightmare, i went to see the dark knight, we sat in the wrong seat, the people who were supposed to sit there came so all 6 of us had to move to the other side of the cinema, then we had to make other people move, and then they had to make other people move, it was a serious nightmare

but on the positive side Wall-e was extremely good, i usually hate pixar movies, but this one was actually good, i would recommend it to anyone, i loved the start were they introduced him and his quirky behaviour, it was really good, i loved all the social comments they were making, like the environment, obesity, technology, it really was an amazing film, i might just see it again.

Allocated seating =

First time I encountered it, we were forced to the very first row. I wanted to sneak up the back but nobody else wanted to. Just as well, as the theatre became full, so we'd have had to move.

Second time was during a session with low attendance, but everyone was grouped roughly together, so I still had someone infront of me and behind. Never again. Thankfully AMC don't have it.

See that's why i love the drive in, park where i want, with my panelvan all set up with blankets, pillows and a mattress. Best way to watch a movie.

Cars.....

Saw it for the very first time tonight and loved it..... It was better then I had given it credit for.

As for Knight Rider.. Why did they have to chose a HIDEOUS car like that Ford

Before The Devil Knows You're Dead - good, but not as good as it could have been.
Sidney Lumet takes himself too seriously sometimes, and this is one of those times. The film would have been exceptional if it had been played as a black comedy, but it was played as a thriller only, and didn't really have enough tension to sustain it.

I just saw The House Bunny.

Went into it very apprehensively, I would have chosen Taken if it were my choice, but it was no where near as bad as I thought it'd be. There were quite a few laugh out loud moments and I've loved Anna Faris since Scary Movie. So past the predictable chick flick moments, it's pretty good.

I want to see that, but only for Anna Faris. She's the only reason I like the Scary Movies...well, he and the girl who plays Brenda.

[on the phone]
Cindy: Hello?
Tabitha's Voice: [indistinct] Seven days.
Cindy: What? Willie Mays?
Tabitha's Voice: [indistinct] Seven days.
Cindy: Who's gay? Hello?
Tabitha's Voice: [indistinct] Seven days.
Cindy: What?
Tabitha's Voice: Can you hear me now?
Cindy: Kind of.
Tabitha's Voice: Can you hear me now?
Cindy: Yes. Perfect.
Tabitha's Voice: Seven days.
Cindy: Seven days. Oh, my God. I'm gonna die next Monday?
Tabitha's Voice: Yes. No. Wait. Monday. That would be seven business days. This is seven days starting now.
Cindy: So seven days to this very hour? My watch broke. How am I gonna know the exact hour?
Tabitha's Voice: Forget hours. This day seven days from now.
Cindy: But there's a holiday coming up. Do you count the holiday?
Tabitha's Voice: Well, that depends. What holiday?
Cindy: Martin Luther King Day.
Tabitha's Voice: Then no.
Cindy: Why not? Everybody at work is taking it off.
Tabitha's Voice: Jesus Christ, lady. I'm giving you seven friggin' days. I can come over now and kill the shit out of you if you'd rather have that.

Cindy: I'm looking for something more than just good sex.
Brenda Meeks: I know. You want commitment.
Cindy: No, I want great sex.

She plays the bimbo role in this movie absolutely perfect.
