Jade 2013 Appreciation thread

There's too much blame being put on everyone around jade and basically absolving jade of any responsibility for her actions for my liking. But whatever floats your boat. If you want women to be treated like little children who need men to make hard adult decisions for them then maybe you'd be better suited to the 1950s.

She shouldn't be confused at this point - she herself said he is only interested when he is drunk. I don't dislike Jade, but to me that should be a big sign to get some self-respect & stop pursuing an obvious dirtbag!

You're missing the point entirely. Jade and Drew were never together! She had always been loyal to him as a friend and he has not been to her. She would never make fun of him in a nasty way behind his back or nominate him. She has always liked Ed (there's no accounting for taste), but she doesn't follow him around joined at the hip and ignore her friends all day long. It's not the same at all.

I wouldnt even bother trying to explain apparently we are in the 1950s so wont see the posts for another 60 odd years

In the 1950's women wouldn't dare to behave the way jade has. Jade is open about hooking up, she flirts upfront, she has no problem speaking of men in a sexual manner. So completely out of context by you. Women behave like a man does and should be told they are better suited to the 1950s? Oh c'mon! I call bullshit in this one in sorry.

Also, no one is placing blame, but we have a right to call out people's behaviour just as the house seems to make everything jade does a big deal. If she wears underwear than she is trying to get eds attention, if she talks to a male hm she is using her body, etc etc. the reason some of us jade fans are so argumentative in her defense is because the hms seem to single her out as this flirtatious creature and has all these faults as if the are so high and mighty.

Your 1950's reference is lacking. If that's the best you have with your cheap shots then you have nothing more to add to the argument other than attacking forum users at this point

this wasnt a cheap shot at all i was just saying why bother to answer someone who is trying to rile up the Jade fans of which i am one that was all

Sorry crispypotato. I did not read that as sarcasm, I saw red after that reference. I jumped the gun so quick. So sorry. After connoisseur said what they did I will admit I just took it as a cheap shot and went on a rampage. Got to remember not to take it personally hey?

I'm just tired of arguing at this point. Of course Jade has to take responsibility for her actions, but she just wants affection probably and no one is giving her any. This may be an assumption, but with an italian background you'd expect her to feel lonely and in need of a close bond with someone.

And I don't see how men are needing to make decisions for her. Don't really know what you're referring to.

Yeah, although I know I have probably done it too. Its hard trying to not take it personal and same time not to become so passionate. I didn't even read your name on the posts bye crispypotato. I assumed it was a anti jade user haha. That's how passionate I became.

I'm starting to feel the same level of frustration that certain people feel about Ben and Jade's pity card is starting to seriously grate on me. Every second post in this forum seems to be about how badly she is been treated and so on and so forth and I just about had it.

Jade is not some 12 year old naive girl who's been taken advantage of by every male in the house or at least I hope she doesn't have that level of maturity. That's the why I referenced the 1950s when women were treated as mere objects and not expected to make hard decisions for themselves, man in their lives did all thinking and protection for them.

If that were the case then I'd have some sympathy for her but we're in the 21 century and a woman her age should be clued in to what the world is like by now and that includes male behaviour that ed is displaying in the house, the so-called 'mixed messages'. In that sense she's even more stupid and naive than what Ben haters accuse him of being.

Exactly. She made it clear to Drew from the start on where she stood on this to the point. But in the saying that, they had a stronger bond than her & Ed. Even in the latest live feeds post-swap, Ed has been saying that Jade would never see that bad in Drew, that she loves him too much despite anything. Jade has said in the past that if it came down to Ed/Drew she would save Drew. That she's the closest to Drew in the house. And never said a bad thing about him. Not the same can be said for the Drew unfortunately, which is what makes everyone sad. Because Drade had the potential to be something way more than just some fling but Drew changed too early.

Me too! It'd make her happy as well, in the diary room they got the Italian Big Brother to speak to her one time and she cried cause it reminds her of her family. She's been a bit sad lately and needs cheering up :(
 
Her bad decisions are made with alcohol usually. Impulsive. She realises later what's gone down. Very astute at times though clearly does not understand the treat 'em mean thing that Tully owns. Heart over head every time with Jade.

She has ascribed to 50s patriarchy a couple of times which was shocking. "I just want to be waiting at home for my man" thing. She thinks she's dumb and has low hopes for herself. The toll working till 11:30pm every night took on her learning capacity.

Here's a segment for ya Big Brother. Can you give the housemates IQ tests and skew Jade's test away from language/left brain questions.

Even though Jade's getting sympathy and supposedly getting 'treated badly' (which she's not, really) that's the thing I focus on the least about her. I don't really want her with Ed or anyone romantically, it's her moments where she's just carefree and has a bit of fun that I'm interested in. Thats why I hope Ed goes this week, so she doesn't have that distraction.

I don't think its a matter of having low hopes for herself, she's just one of those girls who wants to settle down early and she's clearly a romanic.

Well said :) I'm interested in the show for her moments. She brings a lot to the show individually and I'm not interested for the JadEd moments at all. Reason I liked Drade at their prime was because they had fun together and brought their own bits to the show and brought out the best in eachother. I don't like seeing Jade sad because of her ongoing loyalty to Drew, which he did not himself maintain in regards to her. This is why most of us want an intruder to come in to see those happier moments of Jade again. I think a lot of people have their downsides in that house but in essence, the reason I like Jade is not sympathy at all. I think as an open, loyal & single girl she's less in the wrong than a lot of people in there, it's so obvious that I don't have to mention names. She tells it like it is. She's made her intentions clear to everybody whereas everyone else hasn't made their intentions clear to her and instead gossip behind her back.

I'm not, I never wanted Jade with Ed but obviously she likes him.
I liked Drew even when he stopped talking to Jade, I was more Team Drew but I switch team when he crossed the line with Tully. Had nothing to do with Jade.
The more I watch Jade I ended up liking her, her personality reminds me a lot of my partner. I actually thought she would be a bitch but she was the opposite that's why I ended up liking her. She obviously have her issues, that makes me cringe but overall I like her personality.

I know, I know :P but honestly it's like just send anyone already...I want the show to get a bit more exciting and hopefully that will happen this week already with the fake eviction (hope it's Mikkayla that gets the power and tells Jade what has been going on) + 'Timade' ??? I can't say I'm hating Timade, I find it amusing more than anything lol but it's a bit of an odd match like last year's Estelle and Michael after Ryan left. So funny if it would play out the same way like last year. Like when Ed leaves like Ryan, Jade + Tim get together like Michael and Estelle did :S Would be a funny similarity.
