Jade 2013 Appreciation thread

I know, I know :P but honestly it's like just send anyone already...I want the show to get a bit more exciting and hopefully that will happen this week already with the fake eviction (hope it's Mikkayla that gets the power and tells Jade what has been going on) + 'Timade' ??? I can't say I'm hating Timade, I find it amusing more than anything lol but it's a bit of an odd match like last year's Estelle and Michael after Ryan left. So funny if it would play out the same way like last year. Like when Ed leaves like Ryan, Jade + Tim get together like Michael and Estelle did :S Would be a funny similarity.

It's definitely amusing! Could all be a strategic plot by Tim (isn't that what it was with Michael, too? haha) but even if that's the case, oh well!
Only issue is that some people may give Jade more crap over this.

That's what I was thinking - what if that's Tim's strategy to push Jade further away in the competition? Because earlier on in the live feeds thread we were discussing that Tim has nothing over Jade except the JadEd situation, but if he makes her a bet or something of the like and she gives in to it and he leaves her wouldn't that make her look bad? Or maybe that would help her earn even more fans haha. Who knows? Cause last year for Michael, getting with Estelle was what made him lose at his own game. Estelle got more supporters for it especially because to begin with Michael gossiped and said mean things about Estelle. Similarly, Tim always gossips negatively about Jade in relation to her pursuits of Ed. Having said that, Tim showed interest in her at the start, especially after the fake marriage was uncovered.

At this point, I'm inclined to believe Jade is, and has been, accutely aware of what Ed is like and what's he's been doing, for quite some time. She knows (now) that he's not interested in a relationship in the house, she knows he will still come to her for affection when his inhibitions are down (ie when he's drunk), and she's quite accepting of both of these facts.

Her attitude towards this is: I'll take what I can get, because I enjoy the affection of someone I'm attracted to. If she was a man, everyone would say "sure, why not, she's not saying no at the moment" and "Onya, lad, get you some while you can".

She's not stupid, she's not being impulsive. She's living out her values with a clear conscience. Drop the puritanical nonsense and accept that she's a virile young woman with needs and interests and an openness to satisfying them that makes you want to read the bible in a closet while flagellating yourself for your impure thoughts.

In many ways, she had an attitude towards life that many people aspire to, and which she doesn't even realise shows a great deal more confidence than she believes she has. It's an endearing duality, and one that makes her an interesting character to watch.

Very interesting, you may just be right there. I had always thought she was willing to accept what she could get because she thought it might lead to something on the outside but I'd actually be way happier with this.

I agree. She's aware that it's going nowhere. Doesn't mean she cares all that much. A guy you're attracted to willing to make out with you on occasion? I'd take it!

I still want Ed gone though. Starting to think it's not going to happen unfortunately. Everyone throw a few votes behind Matthew :)

Agree. Matt has definitely earned his place in the house over ed.

Matt is way more deserving than Ed. But don't forget about the sisters. Nobody is really mentioning them. They might go just because people are forgetting to vote for them, just like with Caleb.

I think (hope) the sisters will be okay. IMO Matt is the only one that may get less saves than Ed. God I want that idiot out.

Got to love a girl who loves a booty call. More power to em.

Exactly! :D

If she can go into it all keeping her heart guarded, more power to her. I would worry if she was so naive that she believed every touch from him meant something more than just physical attraction, but I think she is more switched on than most people give her credit for :) She may still be a little hurt, but not totally ruined by it. Enjoy what you can, Jade.

she did say the girl who gets him would be 'the luckiest girl in the world' so safe to say it's not just a physical thing. and she did say he wants all the same stuff she wants. i don't want to stereotype type, but i think with women it's rarely just a physical thing.

That's all well and good. However why do her 'fans' insist on painting every male in there who doesn't fall at her feet as 'evil', namely ed and drew?

It does not compute, clearly her fans don't see her interactions with the boys in the way described above and instead see her as being taken advantage of by ed and drew which is another 'double standards' that paints a female like jade as an innocent vulnerable naive brainless dolt in these kind of scenarios.

Is that directed to me? Of course anybody that offers up a dissenting opinion of a housemate has to be a troll, silly me I should know that by now. Following that logic you were trolling ben12 last year.

FFS ridiculous undeserved criticism of ed and drew is all over this goddamn thread, putting all the blame on the them for jades so-called woes and tribulations in the house. If you can't see it than you may need to see an optometrist, I personally can't help you there..

I really like Jade, but her emotional neediness is off putting. All the boys are into her body, and Big Brother did give her some good advice, about boys wanting what they can't have. If Jade could ever build her self confidence, she could have any boy she pleased.

Sure. I agree, with women, even when it is supposedly 'just physical', it is usually a bit more than that :) All I mean is that I hope she isn't expecting more than what he is giving, which is a certain kind of friendship I suppose, plus the odd smooch when the mood strikes him (either after Friday night drinks or when he is feeling sorry for her, etc)
I recall Jade saying to someone "I don't think I'm really his type" and when they get out of the house I think she knows she won't hear much from him, if at all.

I agree with this to some extent. I don't think Drew is a nice guy, and the way he has treated his friendship with Jade is not admirable, but I don't look down on either Drew or Ed simply for not falling at Jade's feet. On the contrary, I think it's refreshing to see that Ed didn't just jump in and take advantage of all the times Jade has thrown herself at him. Sure, he is having a bit of a smooch with her and sending a few mixed messages apparently, but I don't think he has really led her on terribly either. I think he's been as clear as he can be, albeit in a mumbling fumbling kinda way.
