Sad but true.

The big oil companies will do what they always do buy up all the patents and horde the technology so no one sees it..

When electric car batteries started to get good most of them vanished because all the patents were bought by oil companies, strange that.


BTW this is not a new idea. In the 1800s they used vacum tubes minus magnets to drive trains on the ground. The catch being that the tube had a shaft connected to the train above it so it could propel it. It was called a pneumatic railway

i just finished reading a book about Tony Abbott.... it was interesting... at one stage i could see myself sort of agreeing with him, BUT, then along came the religious beliefs behind it and that agreeance went straight out of the window.

I also strongly disagree with the fact that everytime he needs to decide something, he runs to George Pell for "guidance"

I think Abbott really needs to learn to leave religion and his own personal religious views out of politics if he wants to get anywhere. such as the prime minister's office
 
I'm thinking implementation would be a way down the track - but how awesome. So many things that I read about as science fiction when I was a teenager have actually happened now. Instantaneous travel around the world still doesn't seem likely even now - but two hours for Sydney to LA is still a mind boggling thought.

The pair of them are disgusting, Clive's poor wife she must be distraught I hope she doesn't take him back you'd think an 8 year affair would be hard to move on from in a marriage.
 
Can't understand how anyone who is actually a journalist could work for these trash TV shows- or is that what they are taught now, how to embarass anyone about their private life???
 
I guess for some its cutting their teeth so they can get the exposure and experience.

I dont care that they had an affair. Well done to them, it is their own business (as well as his wife's). My issue is how she exposed it, and how it appears that they ambushed him through the streets of England. Leeanne has serious issues, and I think she needs help, not media attention.
 
Apparently it wasn't the wife's business, she knew nothing about it poor woman.

However I agree, the worst part is Leanne's exposé.
 
Do not forget it is 9 who is the absolutely despicable villian in all this.
I do not want to know James private affairs, zip it 9 & change your name to TMZ or Entertainment tonight cause you are just a gossip show.
 
Actually yes, channel 9 and ACA are also the villians.

I don't catch ACA or TT very often, the patients at work seem to love it so it's on the big screen right in front of our office and occasionally I watch one of them at home if they are on before something I want to watch at 7.00 pm
 
These trashy shows make me really angry, the longer they have gone on - becoming trashier and trashier, ACA was once a proper news show - anyway they have taken away the stations ability to have real current affairs and news shows, very few people will now watch real news, 10 has tried and failed and it's shameful that Australians watch this crap.

And - they create such trouble for service providers.
I work at a free legal service, and we can tell when they have had a story on defamation/slander etc, they line up for appointments against someone they hate and fling out that 'defamed me'catch phrase they would never have heard of, and they all get it so wrong.
