I can see the potential in NOW! I think it could be a really great show with some fine tuning.

Episode 2 was much better than episode 1.

I like Joel and Heather as hosts and I think they go well together but I do think way too much time is focused on them. I really am more interested in footage of the celebrities and what is happening in the camp.

Some things I would fix:

There is way too much replayed footage from what we saw on the normal show a hour before.

Let's see lots of unseen footage that couldn't make the normal show like a funny moment or a interesting conversation. There is more time spent on Joel and Heather promising juicy footage then what we actually get.

If watching live moments please less time of Joel and Heather talking over the camp conversations. It is very much pointless the way they are doing live footage right now.

When reading out the tweets avoid the hosts saying the #iamacelebrity hashtag on every single tweet. It makes that segment very tedious. And maybe avoid saying Twitter handles...perhaps have the handles appear on the bottom of the screen (with the comment as well) while the hosts are reading the tweets.

Less interviews and/or interview time with random radio / journalist people (not including Chrissie & Merv) Did anyone else find these quite boring? I really couldn't give a stuff what these people think. Zzzzz. If they must have these interviews keep it short. Camp footage is much better!!!!!!

I hate to sound like I am complaining. I just think the show could be much better if these issues were fixed.

Anyway I hope NOW! improves every night. :)
I still haven't watched it!

My plan today is to catch up after work. Given that was my exact goal yesterday, we will see how I go...

I don't get why they read the tweets off the cards when they have a teleprompter and if not that, they have a TV right next to them?!? Heather always looks idiotic reading her tweets off the paper

...I think that regardless of who is presenting the show... love them or hate them... at least we're seeing un-shown footage at times regardless which is always a boner... erm... I mean... a bonus!... it's better than having to go to Tenplay to hunt the clips down in my books... I guess that it's a case of being thankful for small mercies in a way... this show should've had... **Sticky waits for all the teases and loud howls of laughter**... Bindi Irwin hosting it... she would've been great in this gig... but as I say... I quite like Heather in this... Bindi would've just made it more interesting with her knowledge of animals and insects etc and has quite a pleasant personality from what I've seen of her in my opinion... cheers.

This is my first time watching and I'm yet to watch tonight's main ep so it's all new footage to me. Quite weird viewing but I do kind of love the Up Late vibes. Reading the tweets of the cards is strange, are they trying to make us think there are no autocues and this whole thing is ad libbed?

Joel and Heather are not bad per se, but I feel like they are 2 separate hosts side by side rather than co-hosts.

Hmmm. Laurina was spraying her whole body with supplied aerosol insect repellent. That explains why Survivor contestants are bitten to heckfire first night and these guys not once.

That preview just then for the cliffhanger looked like a good trial, hopefully Laurina gives it a good go. It looked similar to Stacey Solomon's bus one, which is one of my favourites.

i think theyve improved with each show ... Heathers reined in a bit with the kooky singing and dancing which was uncomfortable and there is more content ... but still could be more

the reading of the tweets would be better if they flashed the handle up rather than trying to read them as lets face it some arent even decipherable and it just puts them on wrong foot for the whole reading
also ... print them out larger for them to read so they dont have to struggle to read the main message
maybe the facilities there dont run to tele_prompters or maybe both have such limited experience with them theyve nixed using them because it disrupts their natural rhythm ... they bounce off each other reasonably well and arent trying to out perform one another ... its bad when you see one host trying to take the limelight over the other ... I didnt like Shane Bourne (think thats his name?) on Dancing With The Stars because he seemed to do that to Edwina B ...plus he was corny and not that funny .. too over the top ... its not standup ... youre presenting a show and it not all about you

Heather and Joel both did great impersonations of "Laurinda" last night

Ihope she gives this task a real go otherwise she needs to be sent home ...what did she think she was going to be doing if it wasnt eating horrendous things at one point or another??? you should have left your boundaries at the airport checkin counter:tongue:

The reading of tweets is a dead loss. Not only are they mostly indecipherable (as crimmy pointed out) and the handles cumbersome, but they are never funny or interesting either. I don't know if it's because I'm not part of the twitter generation, but for me it's a big WHO CARES what random nobodies think? Most people can barely string a written sentence together in the first place, so hearing their efforts awkwardly conveyed to us just compounds the pain.

I agree that there has been an improvement each episode. The guest stars should be confined to past contestants though, I have no interest in what "Wippa" has to say.

I think by interviewing Wippa ... Dan ... having the guy (from Sydney Confidential?) on there the night before they are trying to keep the media interest going ...

with regard to the tweets if they did it in a ribbon on the bottom of screen they'd probably find the kids vying to see their name up on the tv ... (if Q&A on the ABC can manage it don't see why Ten couldnt) - however with it being a live show broadcast from os maybe there's technical issues or staffing issues (don't want to pay nighttime wages to staff in Australia as have blown their budget on Warnie)

they seem to be listening to criticism (which they've had plenty of) so hopefully it'll keep improving

Just wish that instead of hinting at things like Heather eating horrendous things already - SHOW IT ... don't keep it for later - get it showing early and keep finding new stuff to put up .. by the time they show it we've already seen the Celebs doing it and so there's no real interest in seeing Heather doing it

Last night had to deal with husband criticising for watching brain-dead tv ... however as soon as the food trial started his interest was right there on the screen watching it with me ... <major rolling of eyes> ...

not even going to TRY to convert him to watching CBBUK or even BBCan ... but it really annoys me when he criticises certain programs but ends up watching them all the same ... at least I get up off the couch when I'm not interested in watching something and go read a book!!

Bindi would be ok but please not the whole family.
And when are they going to get that poor boy a decent haircut? Throw the bowl out already.

Bindi's still 17, so I guess she wouldn't come without her mum.

I predict that boy's going to be a trainwreck. No father, not being groomed for stardom like Bindi, the haircut...
