Hunted Australia - Channel 10

One other thing I didn't get is how each team supposedly has one embedded operator but when they split up they manage to film both of them. Magic of TV and all that I assume.

I’m certainly still enjoying the show but it’s takes a whole lot of suspension of disbelief to enjoy. I really can see myself losing interest after the first series.

I think many Aussies hate the idea that someone is trying to pull the wool over your eyes, and the way they introduced this show sort of garners the impression that the Hunters have access to all this information asap. We know they don't and watching the show is fun but it leaves a sour taste when you know that most of its staged for the camera's.

I think that all they had to do was to come clean at the start of the season and say, "We don't have access to any information or CCTV, HOWEVER, to make the show more TV friendly we have recreated these scenes by placing cameras where CCTV are. And as part of the rules of the show you give us your phones, laptops, etc & access + login details to social media, as if this was a real investigation we would be able to secure that info at some stage... etc etc and these are the rules of the game..."

For me personally, if they had have stated that or something similar it would have made me much more comfortable watching the show knowing that OK, they can't access Woolworths camera's or city council cameras, bank ATM cameras etc but I understand why they've recreated it for the shows continuity...

It seemed a bit unfair that tonight's team were caught because the same bus driver snitched twice.
He surely didn't think they were actual criminals, so why couldn't he just mind his own business?
It triggers me because I have memories of when the elderly couple in the deli next to our shop used to report back to my dad every time I bought something.
"Oh your son was in today, he bought a hot dog and a packet of chicken twisties!"
Silly old snitch :p Imagine if I'd bought cigarettes and porn.

Nasty snitch! I'm never catching a bus from Wonthaggi to Cowes ever again! (actually, I don't recall ever going to Wonthaggi BUT I have been to Cowes several times!)

Your local Deli sold cigarettes and porn? Haha! TOO funny!

I don't know if I've ever been through those places but I have family on Phillip Island.

In those days porn = People or Post magazine :p

They have a disclaimer at the end of every episode which basically says exactly that - just in far fewer words. I think they've been far more honest in associated "secrets of Hunted" articles, of which their have been multiple, than most reality shows are too. One thing I thought was harsh though was the game stipulates you get an ATM card with a certain amount of cash on it, so freezing that card half way through feels unfair.

Much better episode tonight though - helps being 20 minutes shorter for sure and concentrating on three pairs we are more familar with. The aunt and neice were always going to get caught and as much as I hate the snitches, especially for either no reward or relatively low reward, perhaps part of the challenge is charming people so that they will be on your side.

I got half way through Sunday nights ep and wasn't engaged.
Went to watch the other half yesterday, watched about 2 mins and decided 'fuck it'.
So now I've bailed. I did enjoy it at first, but it's failed to keep my attention.

For those still watching, how many have been caught?

Sunday night was a hard slog but last night was better. I guess it is a bit repetitive. People on the run, hiding, being chased day in, day out but I'm not sure what else they (the producers) can do because it's the premise of the show. Some of the "extras" along the way add a bit of interest for me and how the contestants plan and react to certain situations I also find interesting. But I can see why it wouldn't appeal to everyone.

I think eight have been caught, ten remaining?

Lets hope tonights fugitives are better at the game than sitting in a bus stop for hours  they should have just rung the Hunted hotline and said, "We're here, come get us."

I'm losing interest. It reminds me of criticism of Lord of the Rings being "run run run, hide hide hide, fight fight fight". So yeah just seems repetitive. Just want to skip forward to see who wins now, but only three more eps after tonight's. Maybe I'll just watch the finale. Hmm.

I CAN NOT have you reduce the greatest story and most epic adventure of all time reduced to “run, hide, fight” 🙀

Go bleachy! It's probably my all time favourite book (read 30+ times) and the movies were pretty good too (watched at least 20+ times)! And now I have it on Audible...Andy Serkis is a brilliant narrator.

Haha! I love it when cocky people are caught especially when they didn't do anything spectacular but still thought they did after being caught.

I think I'm barracking for the Hunters at this stage because none of the fugitives...except the policeman and hairdresser have shown any sort of big moves atm although, we haven't seen much of the others at all.

Kris & Puneet ...good try and tba...

Thankfully the season is short. It's ok for what it is.

On The Cheap Seats they asked the forensic psychologist lady why the Hunters don't just go where there is a camera crew following people around - which is a very good point.

Sunday was a dud but Monday and Tuesday much better. Pretty clear the copper and hairdresser are getting the winners edit so will be interesting if that turns out to be the case.

Doesn't really make sense why we're not seeing much of the posh couple - even if they're off the Hunters radar they're being filmed daily to show viewers how they're achieving that.

I think that's what happened with the 2 that were caught at Ballarat.. The Hunters were driving around and saw some people, stating, "Hang on whats going on here?" commenting then that 2 people have backpacks ... Really what would have happened is they saw 2 people with backpacks AND a camera man filming them.. which probably prompted the "What's going on here.." comment... and caused them to look..
I mean, you probably are looking for people with back packs, however they don't always wear them - especially when they've found a spot to prop at for the night --- but when you see them with a camera man = BINGO..
