Housemate #4 - Ben

He idolises Bert Newton so theres your answer, probably a wannabe actor. He was also a flight attendant back in the day so he cant be too much of a recluse.
 
I have officially had a gutful of Ben. Gut. Full.

There were rumours of other housemates being in the house. I suppose we'll have to wait until Ben gets pics of them in a frame and starts talking to them too before we see them. "Good night Jasmine *smooch* Good night Ed *big wet tongue kiss*"
 
Yes and there's pictures of his flight attendant days too, with more hair.... no luscious ringlets in sight.

If Ben really were an actor we would know about it by now. Every bit part actor who has done two short films in their lives is on IMDB these days or YouTube or on the net somewhere.

Ben definitely has a lot of talent for acting. He should get into it once he leaves the house for sure.

Oh ...such a shame, think he would look good with a Tim style hair...

Well maybe he is a friend of a friend in the business....even one of the producers....he is just too articulate and quick witted to be that unemployed, single ( never had a boyfriend at age 30??) loner....and saying he listens to a Patti and Bert album weekly ...well it has to be some kind of gee up..
 
People have to remember that Ben is very "active" in the house, that's why he is shown a lot. He is the producers favourite because he is not afraid to do anything. There are numerous hm's we have not seen much of because they are boring, they have the same routine eg. Ed always just going to the gym, doing nothing else. Ben is exactly what the producers are looking for and did not lie - what he said he was like is what he is like which cannot be said for Rohan who said he's going in the house to stir things up yet he just stands there looking dumb 24/7. Rohan reminds me of Ava - all talk before going in the house, no action when they are in there!
 
Has anyone else noticed that Ben's voice changes, sometimes its extremely feminine to the point where if you close your eyes youd swear it was a woman speaking and then other times (nominations, talking to BB on the phone) he sounded much more masculine.

This isn't a dig, just curious if peoples voices can change like that depending on who they are speaking with? I am suspicious that it is fake though.
 
He sounds so much like the Chris Lily character who rolled to the rock (was it Pat?).

Haha! I was thinking that but I couldn't work out which Chris Lilley character he sounded like! I'm thinking he sounds more like Ruth Sims but yes, he does sound like Pat! I think they both sounded similar, nu?
 
Ben is a freak and weirdo, but a very good one. Being BB's personal assistant was hilarious.

I'd like to see him win based on entertainment value.

kxk - yep; Penfold's smart. But hasn't our Ben been playing it well? Hell, even BB has Ben playing Penfold -- Danger Mouse's assistant is now... Big Brother's assistant.

But, anyway; much more of this and I'll label myself insane and obsessive!

Who knows how smart our boy is; he's playing a role and playing it dang well :)
 
OMFG!!! Ben trying awfully hard to cry after he nominates. I am way way way over him.
 
Alot of people on here said Ben would crack under the pressure of the half way house and cry but he's done the complete opposite. Showing what a true game player he is now that his head is on the chopping block he's going to entertain everyone cause he knows he will be focused on this week.
 
No way, not me, it was damn clear he would PERFORM in that little tank with fewer fish. Half house is an opportunity, Tim used it wisely.
Ben will ham it up to the max, and probably also have some little 'moments'.

Get rid of him.

Ben comes out of the Halfway Diary Room, obviously distraught, wiping tears from his face.

Alone and feeling the pressure of being Nominated, he grabs the photos of his mum and nana in the Halfway Bedroom. “I’m feeling a little out of my depth,” he cries to the pictures.

“I think Australia might fire me,” he weeps.

Absolutely fed up with this pathetic behaviour he signed up for this and knew what it entailed. And those fucking photos again!! They feature more than half the housemates!! :mad:
