Dear Ben: you can't be ACCIDENTALLY caught in the middle if you VOLUNTARILY walk from the boys' room to the girls' room and INTENTIONALLY reveal what was said in confidence, you head-bobbing, squinting, tongue-stuck-out, pseudo-confessional HYPOCRITICAL IDIOT.

I'm not a major Ben fan, but I hate how Tim was going on about people cooking his vegetarian meals while Ben won't cook the meat meals for others. I don't know why Ben is vegetarian but if he's like me and it's for moral reasons, I wouldn't want to deal with meat. No one can say "Oh, I can't prepare your dinner for you because I don't find vegetarianism ethically sound."

Its perfectly your right not to deal with meat if you have some moral issues with it, but I don't think it gives you the right to expect others to cook for you if you aren't cooking for them. To say 'I'm going to make my own meals' is fine but to say 'you cook my meals but I won't cook yours' isn't. That applies whether you do the dishes or not. Credit to Ben for going and learnng (I think). That was all slightly weird and I can't help but think he must know how to do all that already and Mikkayla was talking to him like he was a small child. It was all just odd.

I found Ben's dramatisation of the killing and cooking the chicken funny. I still don't know what I think of him overall but that was very entertaining.
 
I agree Mikkayla was talking to him like he was a small child. I wouldn't have accepted that from anyone.

I think Ben pretended not to be able to cut vegetables. A child can cut vegetables
 
I was surprised when Ben went off at Tim about the vegetarian thing. It made me like him a bit more but then he went and ruined it by acting like a toddler in the kitchen and pretending he was completely clueless.

Thread arise from the dead!

Ran into an old friend whilst at lunch today who used to work with Ben at Virgin. Confirmed what we've all suspected that he is in fact putting on a complete act. He's not as timid as he'd have us believe and can in fact be a quite a bitch at times, he's also not as hopeless or sad as he portrays. Also said he was pushed out from Virgin but couldn't confirm if he was actually fired though did say Ben hates Virgin with passion because of it.

In a house full of conflict, (As much as I love it!) I am finding Ben's hatred of conflict refreshing, even if it is one big act !
 
Having just seen the add for Ben again I think its 3 times tonight on 9. I am wondering why they bothered to put anyone else in the house. Just give him the $250,000 and be done with it.
He was one of the chosen ones to be shown before BB started and now I dont ever see any other adds for any other Housemates.
I mean " Is he the most adorable housemate ever ? " NO NO NO!!!!
Can anyone tell me is there any other adds for any other housemate please?
 
I like it when Ben freely joins in a conversation with his opinion. Plus from what we've seen he's not as useless as he makes himself out to be with things like ball games (no pun intended), and dancing/singing etc. It's when he suddenly gets the idea that he has to make out he's developmentally challenged in some way, and his talking to his pictures etc that makes things seem forced and contrived. He should stop that sh*t and just be himself.

Very interesting. I still remember when he called Tim a dickwad (which was a funny moment) but you could see Tim looking at him with a 'just what do we have here' look .....well that's what I imagined was going through Tim's mind anyway lol (that lol was for you GalPAl :o).

He is a very clever guy with some of the stuff he does, but then he seems so not onto it, and that crying in week 1 really seemed genuine to me. An enigma. Certainly he is doing well at the mo as others are getting caught up in crap and he is just trucking along quietly beside them managing to keep out of it all

Yeah at least we can say he's obviously dedicated to his part. Maybe he does deserve to win just for keeping it up so long!

I've hounded my 'source' for more goss and looks like he was 'dismissed' from Virgin in late March/early April. For what he doesn't know for certain but Ben's side is they dismissed him for mental illness, which I don't think would be legal.

If he is playing a role I would be mighty impressed and he would deserve the win. In some ways playing a naive gentle innocent and slightly eccentric person would be easy(ish). Especially as anything 'odd' could be excused by the eccentric side. But we all have moments when emotions get better of us and we speak or act before thinking so to always be on guard to that, but not make it look like your being on guard, would be very hard.

He is an enigma to me. Some stuff he has said and done has been entertaining in my mind (role playing the cold croissant complaint) and some conversations etc, and other stuff has seemed genuinely like he is a big softie (tears in week 1 when the faux marriage was announced). I neither like nor dislike him but he does intrigue me still.

And of course would love to know more on the 'real' him whatever that may be
 
There are times when I forget when Ben is in the house. That's not a good thing for a Housemate who is slated to win the competition.

Ah, Thank you Consuela.
I love watching Ben for some reason but I have noticed he slips in and out of character.
The chatting with the photos is not for me, that is just taking things toooooo far!!!!
I do believe he has so much more to offer, it seems that Tim starts to dig around at times and then stops himself, I guess Tim isn't too sure what he will discover if he continues, not to mention that Ben may also get too much good exposure form it too.
I hope we can get to see the real Ben but while the HMs are handling him with kid gloves it may take a while.
