Perhaps it's her grandmother and one of her parents was also mixed race...

Well, that's what I'm thinking. That woman looked old enough to be her grandmother. And eliza, I've studied biology extensively. If her mother is full-blood aboriginal and her father is full-blood Malaysian, she should share Aboriginal and Malaysian characteristics present in her parents. Other than having a darker tone of skin, she looks pretty anglo-saxon to me.

Maybe her parent is not full-blood, you are still allowed to call yourself aboriginal if you are not.

Malaysia is multi-ethnic so who knows what her Malaysian parent looks like.

My cat has a starnow page :D

I'm not sure what sort of model she is, she's only 5ft 8in, Charlotte and Alex would boot her off ANTM for being a short arse, just saying

haha Eliza you are so funny :)

also Lew Fatt? srsly, I would have changed my name to Smith by now. And I can talk because I have a pretty terrible last name.

Maybe they are. I never said they weren't. Just sounded as if her parents were full-blooded. And if the woman in the advert was her mother- she is definitely full-blooded.

Stop, please. You cannot tell if someone is DEFINITELY full-blooded by seeing them on the telly.

Agreed.

And that older aboriginal woman she was hugging wasn't her mum was it? The article says her mum won "Miss Congeniality award in Miss Hawaiian Tropic in 1995". For some reason I assumed for mum was Malaysian and her dad Aboriginal, not the other way around.

Hawaiian Tropic is a brand of sunscreen, I don't think the comp is just for Hawaiian ladies.

Wow she's gorgeous! She seems nice too, but it's pretty hard to tell from a quick video.

But so far no oldies or whacky types or anything. I suspect there will be one token old person & thats it.

I don't really like this pre-release thing pesonally.

I could be wrong but I don't think I heard anything about her Dad? She said her Mum has a combination of Aboriginal and Malaysian. Her Dad might be anglo-saxon for all we know.

This would make more sense. Even still, the rest of her story doesn't sit well with me. The fact they're chucking in someone that has links with Flo Rida and Justin Bieber- she'd be fit for the Celebrity Big Brother house in the UK!

She's definitely a Darwin girl, Lewfatt is an old family name from here.

Pretty much everyone who lives here considers themselves country. Kids her age spend their time quadding, camping and partying in the bush.

I hope she does well, I know her friends are excited. :)

And for today's lesson in learning, I would like you to focus on the differences and diversity of culture.

You will find just because someone is dressed in traditional Indian fashion, doesn't in fact mean they identify as Indian.
