Gemma. I was horrified by the way you were treated and I honestly have no idea as to who thought it was a good idea to take the evictions out of the hands of the public.
Obviously they realized their mistake because they dropped it quickly. I do feel that the first week plus your eviction really turned off the viewers instead of energizing them. The show has been fighting to keep viewers since the first few weeks.
Without the pairs twist you would not have been evicted:
- people didn't vote for Jake because of him being Tim's roommate
- people didn't want to spend money voting when they knew they didn't control the final outcome.
If it had just been a vote to save, I feel confident you would have made it. And Australia would still have voted out the mean kids club.
My question: why do you think they started the pairs twist and why did they abandon it so quickly.
