I have never understood why womenfolk swoon at the mere mention of his name and why the guys think he's some kind of a leader. When Keiran was in the house, Danny played second fiddle, or so everybody thought. In my mind, there was Keiran, then there was a vast expanse and in the distance one could glimpse Danny, without a horse stumbling through the landscape. Keiran leaves, there is a window of opportunity for a brief moment... but while Danny contemplates on the fact that he hates rations, Marc appears and claims the empty throne.
Currently it is Marc, then there is a vast expanse and in the distance one can glimpse Danny, without a horse stumbling through the landscape. There is really no big surprise in all this.
What has always puzzled me though is that Sarah would seek out Danny. Sarah, as much as I disliked her after she'd been consuming fermented beverages, was a smart girl, why would she attach herself to a dimwit like Danny? I cannot believe that she saw any attraction in Danny other than she had him in his pocket intelectually and he wouldn't cause her much trouble if any at all.
