Yes I noticed Marc's interference as well so it's quite possible that this is what made her choose Jack. She is easily swayed because let's face it, she's not the sharpest tool in the box.
Quite a few things went on in the show. Chloe (I have never had a reason to dislike her) observed near the beginning that Simon would just walk away whenever she would try to engage him in conversation, which is exactly what I had pointed out the day he returned to the house.
Simon is arrogant and I am not sure whether it is his arrogance or the fact that he is unaware of it which causes his persona more damage. He is arrogant and a cantankerous little bitch. He prances around and states arrogantly: I want to talk to you (and you and you) - not considering for a moment that they mightn't want to talk to him. If he had any decency or tact he would ask instead of tell... he would ask - may I, or can I or something along those lines.
The "cry performance" at the table was a complete fail. What an idiot. Again it was Chloe who noticed that there weren't any tears.
I am just waiting for Mr Sticky to show up and support my profound findings with some of his eloquent expletives.
