They won’t make an app for BB, there’s no benefit for 10 and financially it wouldn’t make sense..
They’ll use 10play and paramount+ and have a dedicated BB tab.

10play/Paramount+ makes more sense than a dedicated app so they can hope to lure people into using the service even after the BB season ends.
An app would be ideal. But I think the reality is we’re just going to get the BBUS style live feed experience on paramount plus. It makes sense to me to think that they’d want people to have to sign up to the streaming service to watch the feeds.

10 are spending money on a 10play rebrand (to just 10)… they wouldn’t spend money on a dedicated bb app! They don’t have apps for other tv shows. Everything lines up for 10 to use 10 and paramount+

If you know anything about 10 and their shows.. they direct the audience to 10play (imma celeb/survivor) they’ll do the same with BB

I hope when the show begins to air and the episodes start to get put up on 10play/Paramount+, they erase the Nine and Seven-eras and label it as season 9 (similar to how Seven tried to erase the previous iterations with their labeling).

While we're at it, how about the entire S1-8 back catalogue in original broadcast quality?
An app is only as useful as the content. BBUK has one but other than being able to vote via it all that is uploaded is a daily preview and pointless polls related to last nights episode.
Meanwhile Grande Fratello in Italy still produces a classic style Big Brother website with not only the live streams and contestant profiles but news articles and videos uploaded almost hourly across the week - and it's not geoblocked too. They also pump their social feeds full of content too.

Ten and Paramount as a whole market to “Under 50’s” when positioning the company and its content to advertisers. 10 has always had a really healthy share of the 16-39’s demographic and the original incarnation of BBAU on 10 showed that you could make a lot of money off that demo.. until you couldn’t ofc
I’d love to see them chase after the same audience that watches Gogglebox, both formats are brought together by their unapologetic voyeurism
A good thing that comes from launching in Q4 rather than the usual winter slot is that BB will now enjoy being featured on Gogglebox properly for the very first time (does the VIP version reallly deserve to count?). Gogglebox still rates well and could aid in herding viewers to BB.

So who’s to say they couldn’t integrate video content from Paramount+/10 Play into the app? Also the only other show they have that would be suited to a similar app is I’m a Celebrity and that show doesn’t have nearly as much online engagement as BB has.
They are relaunching 10Play as 10 so may push people towards that - it depends if they can get value from paying the additional fees for a separate app. Big Brother was very much ahead of the game with their tie-in with 3Mobile from the early years so the type of sponsors they get might dictate the decisions. There would probably be more branding and advertising opportunities within the shows own app than a section within the main 10 app.
UK wise BBUK is one of the last apps standing for individual TV shows but can't see it lasting much longer - the only thing it's useful for is voting which directs you to itv.com/vote anyway. Live streaming and episode catch up has to be done via the ITVX app. Most UK shows now prefer to just stick a QR code on screen as a call to vote.

which is why, as per news just in TODAY, SA Police are now retiring their app and directing people to their website instead:
